"I don't know. It was Xunli and Xunjin who made the decision. I was just informed," Zhang Mingfang said helplessly.
This was Shen Qingqing's first time entering a porcelain kiln. Once inside, she realized that the space was much larger than it appeared from the outside.
The waterproof membrane over the courtyard is not completely sealed off; it is a movable type that can be loosened.
There were two kilns in the porcelain kiln, but their shapes were not quite the same. Shen Qingqing didn't understand, so she went to ask Zhang Mingfang.
Although Zhang Mingfang had no prior experience with porcelain making, she had spent a few years with her father-in-law and knew some of the basics.
After explaining the differences between the two kilns to Shen Qingqing, he stopped talking, because Shen Qingqing wouldn't understand any more.
After inspecting the entire kiln, Zhang Mingyang asked, "What kind of electrical wiring should we install? Just a simple light source, or do we need to include charging and plugging in devices?"
"It can be plugged in!" Shen Qingqing exclaimed.
Who knows how long her mother will be working in this porcelain kiln in the future? Of course, it has to be done well.
"That might take two or three days. Qingqing, go back and explain it to your mother." Zhang Mingyang replied casually, then chose a spot and started working.
In her previous life, Shen Qingqing was a homebody who only knew how to stay at home and never went out. Of course, it was also because she seemed too useless, so her parents were worried and didn't let her go out.
So after being reborn, Shen Qingqing found everything new and exciting.
Yesterday we repaired the porcelain kiln and the main gate; today we're fixing the electrical circuits.
Then Zhang Mingyang spent the whole day working and banging, but all he managed to do was determine the circuit layout inside the porcelain kiln.
When it was time for him to leave in the evening, Shen Qingqing invited him to her home for dinner.
"No, no, dinner's ready at home." Zhang Mingyang left without looking back, and his motorcycle took off.
Watching her great-uncle disappear from sight in no time, Shen Yangyang tugged at Shen Qingqing's hand and asked, "Why was your great-uncle in such a hurry?"
Shen Qingqing couldn't answer, because in her previous life, her great-uncle was also just as impulsive and always refused to let her stay for dinner.
But if you call him for help, he always arrives very quickly.
When Shen Qingqing got home that evening, she told Li Xunli about the working hours her uncle had mentioned.
Li Xunli calculated the time required to make the sample and nodded to indicate that she understood.
"I'm going to school tomorrow, who will go with my great-uncle?" Shen Qingqing asked again.
After going around in circles, the problem has returned to its original state.
Finally, Li Xunli had to compromise: "When you go to pick up Xiaohong later, tell your grandfather."
As Shen Qingqing ate her rice, she thought to herself that it wouldn't be long before her grandmother found out.
But this was no longer Shen Qingqing's concern, because the results of the last Chinese exam had come out.
As soon as morning reading ends, the first class is Chinese.
The kids had almost forgotten about the exam after playing all weekend, but on Monday, the first day of school, they were given a good scolding.
Shen Qingqing was completely oblivious, but Chen Man, who sat next to her, was so nervous that the hand holding Shen Qingqing's arm was trembling slightly.
"Qingqing... how do you think I did on the exam this time?" Chen Man asked Shen Qingqing pitifully, completely lacking the high spirits she had after finishing the exam last Wednesday.
"You'll do very well on the exam," Shen Qingqing affirmed.
As the person who reviewed with Chen Man, and also the person who took the test, she knew that 90% of the questions on the test were ones that she had reviewed with Chen Man, and the remaining 10% were from the textbook.
The first-grade exams are unlikely to be too difficult; they mainly focus on reviewing and reinforcing the pinyin and vocabulary already learned.
"Ah, even if you say that, I'm still so flustered!" Chen Man grabbed Shen Qingqing's arm with both hands, her hands trembling.
It's no wonder she was so nervous. There were still preschool classes at that time, so there would be an entrance exam when she entered primary school. Chen Man didn't do well on that exam and got scolded when she got home.
Then Shen Qingqing would often hear Chen Man complain that Uncle Chen would scold her whenever he saw her homework full of circles and crosses.
Helpless, Shen Qingqing could only try to comfort her in a different way: "How about this, if you don't do well on the test, you can tell your dad that you want to go to my house to look at my test paper and correct your mistakes. Then you can stay until it's almost bedtime before going back home. That way, you can take a shower and go to bed when you get home, and you won't get scolded."
Chen Man's eyes lit up: "This is great!"
Then I heard the Chinese teacher on the podium say, "I will be visiting your homes after school this Wednesday. I will visit every student's home and tell your parents about your studies during this period. Please go back and tell your parents that you should be home on Wednesday afternoon or evening."
Their Chinese teacher is also their homeroom teacher.
After hearing this, Chen Man's eyes lost their sparkle.
"Next, I will call out your names to come up and get your test papers."
"First place, Shen Qingqing."
Shen Qingqing was not surprised at all; this was what she deserved as a reborn person!
Chen Man had no idea; her eyes were now filled with adoration as she looked at Shen Qingqing.
As Shen Qingqing went up to retrieve the test paper, she received countless admiring glances from the children.
As soon as she sat down, Chen Man immediately took the test paper from her, and then exclaimed in a low voice, "One hundred points! Qingqing! You're amazing!"
The small group sitting around them immediately stirred, with everyone wanting to see Shen Qingqing's exam paper. If it weren't for the wall on the right, they probably would have wanted to see it too.
Just as they were passing around Shen Qingqing's exam paper, the teacher on the podium also called out Chen Man's name: "Sixth place, Chen Man."
