The task of taking Shen Yangyang to kindergarten was assigned to Shen Rongzhou and her maternal grandfather, Zhang Mingfang.
Shen Rongzhou has Monday and Tuesday as his monthly holidays, during which he can pick up and drop off his child sometimes. After his monthly holidays are over, Zhang Mingfang will take over the pick-up and drop-off service.
Li Xunli made a phone call to Shen Rongzhou and her father respectively to instruct them on this matter.
Then he remembered what Wu Jingyuan had said yesterday, and after thinking about it, he called Li Xunjin to ask for Wu Jingyuan's phone number.
After getting the phone number, Li Xunli dialed it.
Wu Jingyuan answered quickly: "Hello, who is this?"
"Brother Jingyuan, it's me. Here's the thing, my friend and I are going to check on a batch of raw materials tomorrow, and I was wondering if you could come with us. We'd also like to check on the materials you need so you can make a decision later." Li Xunli explained the situation in a few words.
Wu Jingyuan seemed to be busy with something, and after a while he replied, "Okay, I can't make progress that quickly on my end either. What time tomorrow? How many days will you be gone?"
"I'm leaving tomorrow morning at seven o'clock to buy a ticket at the station. I'll probably be gone for four or five days," Li Xunli told the truth.
“Okay, see you tomorrow morning. Can we meet at your place?” Wu Jingyuan was straightforward and didn’t beat around the bush.
After all, clothes are really seasonal; the price difference between the latest seasonal styles and even the latest styles from past seasons can be enormous.
"Okay, see you tomorrow, Brother Jingyuan." After making the appointment, Li Xunli called Zhang Hengyun to tell her that a friend of hers was going to go with her and that he would cover the travel expenses.
Zhang Hengyun didn't object, and the two confirmed the time one last time before hanging up.
When Shen Rongzhou returned in the evening, Li Xunli was still busy at the porcelain kiln. Shen Qing came out after taking a shower, and her father was playing with Shen Yangyang in the living room.
"Qingqing, your mother is going on a business trip, so your father will be going to buy groceries this morning. Is there anything you'd like to eat?"
Shen Rongzhou is from a neighboring province, where the local cuisine is spicy and salty, and some dishes are prepared in a way that resembles his hometown.
However, Shen Qingqing is a native of Chaozhou and has an extremely light palate. When her father used to cook, she would always complain that the food was too salty, so much so that she would have to drink two extra cups of water after each meal.
Shen Qingqing thought about her father's recipes, which weren't much different from her own, and shook her head: "There's nothing I particularly want to eat, but don't make it too salty."
Shen Rongzhou smiled and agreed.
However, on the first day of Li Xunli's business trip, the food at home was left over because her father misjudged the amount of food that an adult and two children should eat. They could only reheat the leftovers for dinner.
Shen Rongzhou had originally bought ingredients to cook for one day, but saved some for the next day.
Her dad had two days off, so he misjudged her appetite for those two days.
On Wednesday afternoon, Shen Qingqing got home early from school. Looking at the three plates of leftover food frozen in the freezer, she remained silent for a long time before finally having to take them out to defrost and reheat them.
It was only at this point that Shen Qingqing truly realized just how noble her mother's habit of always finishing last at meals was.
As November arrived, the weather became a bit cool in the mornings and evenings, but it was still hot at midday. Shen Qingqing put a jacket in her schoolbag and wore it when she went to school in the morning.
The results of the first round of the semi-finals are out. She, Wu Ziqi, and Chen Qingyu have all successfully entered the first round of the finals.
In other words, as long as they get into the top five in the finals, they will have a ticket to participate in the city-level competition!
Shen Qingqing still entered the finals with a perfect score, while Wu Ziqi and Chen Qingyu barely made it through.
Chen Qingyu's gaze towards Shen Qingqing was no longer one of scrutiny, but rather one of admiration and sympathy.
After all, he was forced to read those classics from a young age, and he was still reading them when he was eleven.
But Shen Qingqing is only seven years old, yet she was able to reach the finals just like him, and she even got full marks in the first two rounds.
How strict is this family?!
Shen Qingqing had no idea what Chen Qingyu was thinking, but she was puzzled when she received a sympathetic look from him.
However, we've finally made it to the finals. If we finish in the top five, we can win a prize of fifty yuan and then challenge for the one hundred and fifty yuan prize in the city competition!
Even a small amount of money is still money, and what's more, this amount adds up to quite a bit for a primary school student!
She actually wanted to buy Teng's stock, which was still relatively cheap at the moment. Unfortunately, her uncle didn't have a Hong Kong stock account, so she had to ask him to find a way to get one so she could buy Teng's stock.
Only with money can we withstand the impact of economic fluctuations in 2008.
When Shen Qingqing came back from her reverie, the Chinese teacher had just finished praising and encouraging the three of them and got down to business.
"The finals are scheduled for this weekend. I heard from the competition committee that the content of the finals will be similar in difficulty to the preliminary rounds of the city-level competition. So in terms of difficulty, it will definitely be much more difficult than the preliminary and semi-final rounds."
"But you've all passed the preliminary and semi-final rounds, which is quite good, especially Qingqing, who passed both rounds with full marks. Even if you don't get a spot in the finals, you'll still have a chance next year!"
Shen Qingqing nodded obediently, not caring whether it was next year or not, as long as she could get all the bonuses she could this year.
However, she remembered that when she participated in this competition in fourth grade in her previous life, her homeroom teacher at the time seemed to tell her that the first prize winner of the provincial competition would not be allowed to participate in the competition for the next two years.
