Chapter 25 Sending Green Bean Soup
She hadn't spoken to him in this tone for a long time.
With a little bit of coquettishness, her delicate little face like a doll was sunburned, making it look even whiter.
Cheng Chuan was stunned for a moment, then slowly put down his hoe and walked over.
She stood on the ridge of the field, and he stood in the field, looking at her.
Xu Ningjun waved his hand, "Come up, come here."
He followed her obediently and walked to the side under the shade of a tree.
Xu Ningjun unscrewed the thermos and handed it to him, "Drink it."
Seeing that he didn't move for a long time, Xu Ningjun simply stuffed the wine into his hand and said, "Drink it all."
Cheng Chuan was a little slow to react, and she returned to the same attitude towards him as last week, as if nothing had happened.
Taking the bucket, he took a sip.
Mung bean soup is cool and refreshing when poured into a dry and burning throat, quenching thirst.
It also has a hint of sweetness, as if sugar was added.
He had originally planned to go to the stream to drink some cold water to cool down, but now there was no water.
"You look so fierce, but how can you be so soft-hearted? Can't you just refuse the captain? It's so hard to just say you don't want to."
The more Xu Ningjun thought about it, the more distressed he felt, and he grumbled in dissatisfaction.
Cheng Chuan drank half a bucket in one breath, "Captain, give me some more work points."
He lowered his eyes, his long eyelashes covering his dark eyes.
"He only gives you 5 extra work points every day. You should bargain with him and ask him to give you more. You are so stupid."
His skin was sunburned, his veins were exposed, and he had a thin body with broad shoulders and a narrow waist.
People shouldn't, at least they can't, but Xu Ningjun still took a few more glances.
The taciturn guy is a little bit stupid, but he has a nice figure.
In their era, they could at least become models.
It should feel pretty good too......
She coughed twice and came back to her senses. "I stayed up all night cooking, drink it all."
Cheng Chuan paused and nodded, "Thank you."
"You know how to thank me, but you don't know how to praise my cooking skills and make mung bean soup for me?"
She stood on tiptoe and looked at him with a smile.
Cheng Chuan took a half step back, creating some distance. He was dirty. "Hey, drink."
The sound was muffled in the thermos, and you couldn't even tell it was Chinese medicine.
His ears were red like ripe apples, and Xu Ningjun laughed out loud.
After he finished drinking and handed the bucket back to her, the smile on Xu Ningjun's face instantly disappeared.
I grabbed his hand and saw blisters on his rough palm, some of which were even broken and bleeding.
Even if he tried to control it, he couldn't stop the slight trembling of his hands.
Meeting her watery eyes for a moment, Cheng Chuan struggled twice and retracted his hand, "It's time, I'm going over."
"Cheng Chuan!"
Why does he have to open up wasteland? He is so tired and not annoying. He is so stupid and stubborn!
She was so tired of talking that Xu Ningjun really had nothing to say. She finally understood what was wrong with Cheng Chuan's temper.
"Just stand here and don't move. I'll get you a pair of gloves."
Xu Ningjun ran forward two steps, turned around, and pointed at him, "Don't move!"
"Um."
She ran out, her long braids swinging in the wind.
Cheng Chuan looked at her for a long time. Her figure turned into a small dot and disappeared. He subconsciously took a few steps forward.
He didn't even notice he was being scorched by the sun when he walked out of the shade of the trees.
After a while, she came running back.
Her little face was hot and pink, she was panting as she handed him the gloves.
Cheng Chuan's hand didn't hurt, but his heart did.
On hot days, she runs back and forth.
"It's hot. Don't go out."
"You still dare to say that to me."
Xu Ningjun fanned himself with his hands and said, "Come to me after work tonight. The wound on your hand needs to be treated. Do you hear me?"
Cheng Chuan nodded and put on gloves.
The rough gloves rubbed against the wound and it was a bit painful to put them on.
"Cheng Chuan, your task today is to weed, right? Then you should only focus on the right field this afternoon, and leave the left alone."
Cheng Chuan looked over and didn't quite understand.
There are the same amount of weeds everywhere, so it's easier to be alone.
"Hey, listen to me. I have brains, and you don't."
She said to him coquettishly, Cheng Chuan nodded and walked back.
Wanting to know whether she had left, he turned around. Under the shade of the tree, she smiled and tilted her head, as if she had guessed that he would turn around.
