Chapter 3: Trouble
Xu Ningjun leaned forward and pricked up his ears.
"The Cheng family is good, you should have heard of it."
"Um."
Even the ancestors of the Cheng family were working people, so they are very good.
"In fact, the old lady in their family was the daughter of a landlord. His father reported his own mother and cut ties with the old lady, sending her to live in a cowshed."
"Because of this, the Cheng family was commended and gained a good reputation. But everyone knows in their hearts that how could someone be so bad as this."
After saying that, Wu Xiaohua looked outside, coughed, and pretended to be nothing.
On that day in July, Xu Ningjun felt a chill on her back. She was blind and had actually jumped into a pit of poisonous snakes.
In the past, Xiaohua always complained that I was in love and was digging wild vegetables. I didn’t expect that I would really dig wild vegetables now.
The two of them changed the subject and chatted about something else. Suddenly, someone cursed outside, "Xu Ningjun, get out here! She killed my son. Have pity on my son. Killing someone means paying with your life!"
"Okay, okay, Sister Wang, this has nothing to do with Xu Zhiqing."
Hearing the captain's voice trying to stop him, Xu Ningjun got out of bed and walked to the door. "What's wrong?"
Her clear voice cut through the noise. She was wearing a coat, her face was still a little pale, and she was as delicate as a flower in the wind.
The Wang family members who were making noise outside all subconsciously lowered their voices.
Mrs. Wang wiped away her tears. "Last night, she gave my son some kind of medicine, and he died! She's the one who killed my son. My poor son!"
As she said this, she sat down on the ground and rolled over crying.
Xu Ningjun frowned, thinking of this broken thing.
Mrs. Wang's son had his hand bitten off by a wild boar. It was dark that night and she couldn't see whether the boar had bitten the artery.
I could only use a clean towel to tie it up to stop the bleeding, and told him to go to the hospital in the county town.
His son was reluctant to spend the money and went home to sleep. In the morning, he died in bed from excessive bleeding.
Mrs. Wang was difficult to deal with. She had lost three Great Unity tickets, but Mrs. Wang still refused to give in.
But suddenly one day, this matter was over and Mrs. Wang no longer bothered her.
She thought that Wang's wife could no longer make trouble, and the matter ended in a daze.
"Mrs. Wang, since your son isn't deaf, why didn't he go to the hospital when I asked him to?"
The team leader quickly nodded and said, "Yes, Xu Zhiqing asked him to go to the hospital. We all heard it."
"Yeah, we all heard it."
While others nodded in agreement, Mrs. Wang's son was stubborn and insisted that whoever took him to the hospital would pay for his medical expenses.
When everyone heard this, they were unwilling to care about him.
Mrs. Wang's face turned ugly. "You're talking nonsense! You just think she's pretty! I'll tell my sister-in-law!"
The team leader was over forty years old, and being scolded for being obsessed with a little girl made him blush. "That's unreasonable! Your son was disobedient and went to the mountains to trap wild boars, delaying everyone's trip for half a day. And your son, you father, you father."
Mrs. Wang's son entangled his cousins and wanted to go up the mountain to make a fortune.
Those making a commotion at the door were all members of the Wang family, and they felt a little ashamed when they heard what was said.
My son was able to return home safely, all thanks to everyone’s help.
The captain continued to scold, "Cheng Chuan doesn't want to go, don't you think about why? Can you fight a wild boar at this time?"
July and August are the wild boar birthing seasons. If you want to kill a wild boar cub, the sow will fight hard.
The captain shouted with great energy. Mrs. Wang couldn't argue with him, so she ran to Xu Ningjun.
"Bah! He even boasted that his father was a doctor. I think he's just a quack who kills people. His whole family will die miserably!"
Xu Ningjun reached out, grabbed her hair, pulled it back, and asked, "What did you say?"
"ah!"
Mrs. Wang is short and a little hunchbacked, two heads shorter than Xu Ningjun.
Meeting her cold, downcast gaze, Mrs. Wang swallowed. She had been a tyrant for half her life, but this was the first time she was frightened by a little girl.
"I was wrong, I was wrong......"
She felt as if her scalp was being pulled off, and she grimaced in pain.
