Chapter 80: Catching the Mistress
Meng Xin was stunned for a moment, "Xiaobao, I'm your mother, let's go home, okay?"
Xiaobao didn't speak or move, and Meng Xin was a little anxious. "Stop making trouble, come quickly."
Seeing this, Xu Ningjun stepped forward and said, "Sister Meng, if Xiaobao is willing, he can stay at my house first. I will take him to the factory when I go to school later."
Meng Xin combed her hair, took a deep breath, and felt regretful.
Over the years, her patience with Xiaobao has been exhausted several times.
Sometimes I would yell at him, especially when his condition showed no improvement despite seeing so many doctors.
"Thank you for your help."
The woman's brows were tired, and Xu Ningjun nodded, "Be careful."
"Ning Jun, I have something to ask of you. Please help me keep an eye out for this license plate number."
Meng Xin wrote the license plate number on a piece of paper. Xu Ningjun looked at it from left to right and felt that it looked familiar.
But she couldn't remember where she had seen it before, and she wasn't one to look at cars.
Men would stare at cars, studying their features and stuff, but to her, all cars looked the same.
"Okay, I'll pay attention."
Xu Ningjun knew that Meng Xin was not in love and had gone back to pick wild vegetables. After sending her out, he handed the note to Cheng Chuan, "Have you seen this license plate number?"
Cheng Chuan put the porridge on the table, and wanted to hug her in his arms to read the words on the note clearly.
After being hammered, he glared at him and said, "There are children here. Xiaobao, come and have breakfast."
Cheng Chuan raised his eyebrows slightly and sat down.
Xiaobao was still squatting in the corner, raising his eyes and staring at Xu Ningjun for a while.
Without holding her hand, he got up from the ground, sat at the table and ate with big mouthfuls.
Seeing him like this, Xu Ningjun guessed that he must be extremely hungry.
He probably hadn't eaten since last night, and she poured him some water last night, but he didn't drink a sip.
After eating, Xu Ningjun tentatively offered to take him home. Xiaobao was like a bomb, hiding back in the corner, staring at them vigilantly.
Xiaobao is four years old now, and he is old enough to remember things.
Xu Ningjun sighed, "Sister, here are some books. Do you want to read them?"
There were no books suitable for children at home, so I had to take out all my professional books, Cheng Chuan's, and my father's books.
Xiaobao didn't let anyone get close to him, so she could only stand in front of him and stand aside without looking at him.
After a while, Xu Ningjun secretly looked over and saw Xiao Baoyu had picked up the book and started reading.
His little hands were not even as big as the book, and the book was a bit heavy, so he could only lie on the ground and turn the pages carefully and meticulously.
Xu Ningjun didn't disturb him and closed the door to harass Cheng Chuan.
"Cheng Chuan, I want to drink some water."
"Chuan, I want to eat apples. Do you eat apples without peeling them?"
"This apple isn't sweet at all. You eat it. I won't eat it."
The little person on the bed was kicking up his legs and struggling, and Cheng Chuan was helpless.
No child is as difficult to take care of as she is.
It was almost noon when Xu Ningjun quietly pushed the door open and went out. Xiaobao was still reading.
She walked over and squatted down. "Can you understand?"
The little boy nodded for the first time.
Xu Ningjun said softly, "Okay, as long as he likes it."
But it was getting late. If we didn’t go back, Sister Meng would get anxious. “Let’s go find Mom, okay?”
Seeing him tense for a moment, Xu Ningjun quickly added, "We're not going home. Can I take you to your mother's workplace?"
Xiaobao seemed to hesitate for a moment, then got up from the ground and agreed.
It turned out that he just didn't want to go home.
"Let's go."
Cheng Chuan was just about to go look at some land, and he was worried about their children, especially his little one.
He held Xu Ningjun's hand, and Xu Ningjun reached out to hold Xiaobao. Xiaobao obeyed and didn't struggle, standing on the road.
"Ning Jun, where are you going?"
"Aunt Ma, I'm going to school. You've just come back from buying groceries."
"Haha, haha, yes."
Xu Ningjun greeted them with a smile. After they walked away, Aunt Ma turned around with a complicated expression.
