Chapter 91 Reunion, face to face
"Pick up the kids?"
Xu Ningjun was stunned for a moment, "His child?"
"yes,"
The woman was a little confused as to why Xu Ningjun was asking these questions. "Please sit down first. I'll get you a glass of water."
Before Xu Ningjun had time to ask in detail, the woman came back in, rubbing her hands and looking a little expectant.
"Ms. Xu, may I ask why you want to apply for a job at our company?"
"I recently returned to China and wanted to try a new job, so I came here."
"But you're a fashion design major. Why did you apply for a job at our company?"
The people who come to our company are all graduates who studied finance or real estate.
"I saw your company was hiring for interior design, and since I know a little bit, I came here."
"Oh, oh, oh," the woman nodded repeatedly, "Given your qualifications, are you sure you want to come to our company?"
Xu Ningjun smiled, "Apart from designing clothes, I'm just a novice in the interior design industry, but you can trust my abilities."
Of course, the woman thought to herself, and immediately asked someone to print out the contract and have Xu Ningjun sign it.
I was afraid that if I was a second late, this person would change his mind.
"Then please come to work tomorrow."
"OK."
Xu Ningjun bowed his head and signed. "Can I meet your boss?"
"I'm afraid you won't be able to see him until tomorrow. The young master is out of school and can't be delayed."
The woman smiled apologetically, and Xu Ningjun was confused again.
"He has a child. Whose child?"
She suddenly remembered what Meng Xin said, that men are prone to changing their hearts, so how could he possibly wait for her for four years.
Besides, she left without saying a word, so no matter how stupid he was, he wouldn't stay stupid for four years.
Oh, she just had great confidence in Jichuan and insisted on coming back.
"Why are you surprised that I have a child?"
A familiar voice came from behind, and Xu Ningjun suddenly froze.
The feeling of electric current passing through the body, from the top of the head down.
Her hands and feet turned cold in an instant, and her blood seemed to have frozen.
Even though we haven't seen each other for four years, his voice is still as familiar as ever.
She could hear it immediately.
Jichuan stood at the door, staring at the woman sitting at the table. After a long time, he waved her to leave.
He had just passed by here on his way back to the company and was stopped by a very familiar voice.
Almost subconsciously, Jichuan pushed open the door.
He stood at the door and had been listening for a long time.
Listening to her applying for a job, listening to her asking about him in a calm tone, listening to her wondering about his child...
The woman looked around in surprise, then tactfully went out and closed the door.
The room fell silent as he approached and sat down opposite her.
Xu Ningjun clenched his hands under the table, wanting to say, "Long time no see."
Tears blocked her throat, and she gritted her teeth to hold them back.
In four years, he changed a little bit.
He was dressed in a simple grey long-sleeved shirt and black pants, looking very casual.
He was still not used to wearing a suit, that tight and stiff kind of clothing.
There was a new watch on his wrist, silver, simple in style as usual.
He reached out and took the contract in front of her and looked through it.
Xu Ningjun looked over. He didn't say anything for a long time, looking at the contract calmly.
With his back to the floor-to-ceiling window, his tall figure blocked some of the light.
Only the sound of turning pages echoed.
"Are you looking for a job?"
The man's voice was undeniably hoarse, like a tired traveler in the desert, thirsty for water.
"Well, I just came here when I returned home."
Without saying anything, he tore the contract in half and threw it into the trash can. "We don't need anybody here."
"But I've already signed the contract. If you change your mind now, you'll have to pay according to the contract."
She narrowed her eyes and tilted her head with a smile.
