Chapter 365 Nothing good ever comes from meeting you.

"What's wrong?" Song Lili rushed into Xia Niu and Song Jianshe's room and saw Xia Niu holding her stomach, looking like she was in great pain.

"I...I have a stomachache..." Xia Niu's face was a little pale, and she was also a little out of breath.

"Is she about to give birth?" Song Lili had never seen anyone give birth before, so she wasn't sure if Xia Niu was about to give birth or if something had happened.

She felt a little flustered and at a loss.

She tried to tell herself that she had to stay calm and not panic, otherwise she would easily make mistakes.

After adjusting myself several times, my panicked heart gradually calmed down, and I became more composed.

"Sister-in-law, I'm going to find someone to help. Don't move around too much." Song Lili said and ran out.

Wu Jiang and Zhang Zeyu, who had followed her out, only saw her back. "Lili, what happened?"

"..."

Song Lili had already run out and didn't hear Wu Jiang's shouts from behind.

Song Lili ran to Yang Weimin's house and shouted as soon as she entered, "Auntie, Auntie, are you home?" She was sweating profusely.

"Yes, yes, who is it..." Guo Guihua rushed out of the house, answering as she spoke.

"Auntie, please go check on her quickly! My sister-in-law has a stomachache, and I don't know if she's about to give birth," Song Lili said, pulling Guo Guihua along as they walked, not having time to explain.

"She's about to give birth?" Guo Guihua was stunned for a moment, then quickened her pace. "Then let's go check on her right away."

As she spoke, she walked ahead of Song Lili.

The two ran home quickly and saw Wu Jiang and Zhang Zeyu standing outside Xia Niu's house, looking anxious.

"She's about to give birth..." Guo Guihua went in and saw. She immediately said to Song Lili, "Lili, hurry and find a midwife."

"Okay, I understand." Upon hearing this, Song Lili ran off in a flash. "Auntie, please keep an eye on things for me."

"Okay, you should go now."

The midwife had been arranged long ago and knew that Xia Niu was due to give birth in the next few days. She had been waiting for a while, so Song Lili arrived with her entourage very quickly.

Song Lili finally breathed a sigh of relief after the midwife was taken into Xia Niu's room.

"What are you doing here?" To her surprise, Zhang Zeyu was boiling water in the kitchen.

"That auntie said she needed hot water, so she asked me to boil it," Zhang Zeyu said casually.

"Thank you," Song Lili breathed a sigh of relief, her back soaked with sweat. "Let me do it."

"No need, I can do that. Why don't you go outside and keep watch? There should be someone you can help with there."

Song Lili pursed her lips, still not quite at ease about Xia Niu, and didn't say anything more. She stood up and walked out of the kitchen door.

"Thank you, cousin. You can come to me if you need anything in the future. I might not be able to help you with big things, but I can help with small things."

At that moment, Song Lili accepted Zhang Zeyu in her heart, and the resistance she had towards him dissipated.

"Then I'll thank you in advance." Zhang Zeyu looked at Song Lili for a long time before saying this.

When Song Lili went outside, she realized there was nothing she could do to help.

With the midwife and Guo Guihua there, she wasn't needed at all in the room; those two could handle it.

She just stands at the door, helping to get whatever is needed inside.

After all that commotion, it was already afternoon. Song Yongren and Song Jianshe both returned, but Xia Niu still hadn't given birth.

"What's going on?" Song Yongren had just returned home and saw so many people gathered at the door, so he asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Uncle, you're back? My sister-in-law is about to give birth. Aunt Guihua and the midwife are inside." Song Lili explained simply.

"She's about to give birth?" Song Yongren was also shocked. "How is she now?" He was extremely worried.

The thought that only his daughter and daughter-in-law were at home today made him anxious.

Song Lili shook her head. "I don't know." She could only hear the sounds inside, and knew that the baby hadn't been born yet.

Song Yongren could only wait anxiously outside.

When Song Jianshe returned, he was also sweating profusely and pacing around the yard when he learned that Xia Niu was about to give birth.

Everyone was on tenterhooks, waiting anxiously.

Around eight or nine o'clock in the evening, a loud cry was finally heard, and everyone's hearts were at ease with that cry.

"She's finally given birth," Song Lili murmured to herself.

"Xia Niu gave birth to a big, healthy boy for your family," Guo Guihua said with a big smile as she opened the door and came out.

"Really?" Song Yongren looked at Guo Guihua with surprise.

"Of course it's true." Guo Guihua nodded with a smile. "The midwife is still getting ready; she'll be out in a little while."

"Auntie, how is my sister-in-law?" Song Lili asked. Song Yongren and Song Jianshe were so excited that they forgot about her, but she couldn't forget.

"Don't worry, everything's fine. Mother and baby are safe. Just take good care of yourself during your postpartum period."

Song Lili nodded, "That's good. I'll go make something for my sister-in-law to eat." It's been several hours; she must be hungry.

Song Lili went to the kitchen, while Zhang Zeyu remained inside. Although he had stopped boiling water, he did not leave.

"Stay here for dinner tonight," Song Lili said to Zhang Zeyu as she rolled up her sleeves. "My sister-in-law had a son, so we'll have a proper celebration tonight."

Regardless, having a son is a happy thing for everyone.

Zhang Zeyu nodded. "Okay."

He sat in the kitchen for hours, thinking about many things.

Thinking about this suddenly appearing relative, how to proceed, and how to treat these relatives who have never met him but have shown him kindness.

After thinking about it all afternoon, Zhang Zeyu decided that since he was already here, he should just accept it and let things take their natural course.

If you get along well, then maintain a good relationship. If you don't, just keep on the surface.

He could also tell that his cousin wasn't stupid, and that they should be easy to get along with.

So I agreed.

Just as Song Lili had expected, Song Yongren kept everyone behind, saying he wanted to treat them well.

Song Lili wasn't stingy; she used whatever good things she had at home to make things. Since everyone was happy, she figured she might as well add the finishing touches.

Therefore, the meal was enjoyed by both the host and guests, and everyone was very satisfied. The meal ended quite late.

Song Yongren was so happy to have a grandson that he kept talking to Wu Jiang late into the night.

Helpless, Wu Jiang could only deal with Song Yongren, Song Lili, and Song Jianshe as they escorted Zhang Zeyu to the educated youth settlement.

"Oh, what a rare guest! What brings you here? Are you looking for me? What? You missed me?"

Just as the group reached the entrance of the educated youth settlement, a nonchalant voice suddenly rang out.

Upon hearing the voice, Song Lili knew who it was and couldn't help but roll her eyes. What a small world!
