Chapter 390 What's it to you?

Song Lili was furious and wanted to kill Chu Ci if she could.

I can't believe this idiot is still babbling on and on, refusing to let me pass.

"No, why are you so violent? I was just trying to be nice to you, don't take it personally."

"Tell me, are you really going to get married? Isn't Zhang Qinghua better than me?"

"Whether I'm getting married or not is none of your business!" Song Lili said through gritted teeth. After saying that, she pushed Chu Ci away and was about to leave.

"Hey, with your temper, do you really think you can get married?" Chu Ci ran over and stopped Song Lili again.

“My brother-in-law is much better than you.” Song Fang, who had been hiding behind Song Lili, finally couldn’t help but speak up.

"Brother-in-law? You brat, so this is your sister. Let me see what she looks like."

Chu Ci looked up at Song Lili with a grin, and seemed to be looking past Song Lili to see Song Fang.

"Get out!" Song Lili was truly enraged this time. She grabbed Chu Ci's arm and twisted it with all her might.

"Ah...it hurts, it hurts, you brat, let go of me, it hurts..." Chu Ci screamed in pain, her face turning pale.

"I told you to get lost, didn't you understand? Or are you deaf and can't hear me?"

"I just saw you and said hello, why are you being so fierce?" Chu Ci said, holding his arm with one hand.

"Let me go right now."

How come this brat is so strong? He didn't even have the strength to resist. Did she take some kind of superpower?

Chu Ci felt bitter inside, but she was too embarrassed to show it on her face, so she could only force herself to keep quiet.

"I told you, I don't need you, didn't you hear me? Get out of here right now." Song Lili shoved Chu Ci away violently, causing him to stumble and fall into a pile of weeds.

Once the obstacles were cleared, Song Lili pulled Song Lili away.

Chu Ci hugged his arms, glared at Song Lili's departing figure, gritted his teeth, stood up, and chased after her again.

"Hey, you stop right there! You think you can just hit me and leave? No way! I'm telling you, if you don't apologize to me today, I'll be following you the whole time."

Chu Ci called out as he chased after him.

Upon hearing Chu Ci's voice, Song Lili's forehead veins bulged, a result of her clenching her fists tightly.

She turned around, shielding Song Fang behind her, her eyes cold and even fierce as she looked at Chu Ci who was approaching.

"What exactly do you want? If you know what's good for you, get out of here right now, or you'll face the consequences."

At this moment, all the anger in Song Lili's heart was stirred up, and it was just a spark away from exploding.

But Chu Ci didn't know any of this. He just felt that Song Lili was wrong and should apologize. He couldn't leave without apologizing.

So, upon hearing Song Lili's words, he decided to quit.

"You brat, you're really taking advantage of me, aren't you? Let me tell you, I've been letting you have your way the whole time."

"If you continue like this, I won't be polite anymore. I'm very capable, didn't you know that years ago?"

As he spoke, Chu Ci rolled up his sleeves, looking ready to get down to business.

The two men stood facing each other on opposite sides, and it seemed that they could explode at the slightest provocation.

Everyone was tense, even Song Fang behind Song Lili could feel it.

"You deserved it, it's not my sister's fault," Song Fang said, peeking out from behind Song Lili.

Song Lili was so frightened that she quickly stuffed Song Fang back in, and the violence in her heart grew wildly once again.

Chu Ci's eyes lit up; when he saw Song Fang, he was amazed.

When Song Fang and Song Lili smiled, they both had round faces, but Song Fang's was a bit more delicate.

If Song Lili can be described as a girl from a modest family, then Song Fang can be described as a classical beauty, possessing a gentle beauty and elegance.

"Sister, what you said is wrong." Chu Ci stared behind Song Lili, wishing he could rush up and pull Song Fang out to talk to her.

“Who’s your sister? That’s my sister,” Song Lili said fiercely.

"You..." Chu Ci was furious again, his face contorted as he looked at Song Lili, wishing he could strangle her.

“Sigh…” Suddenly, Song Fang behind Song Lili sighed, “Sister, I’m fine, I…recognized him.”

Seeing the tense atmosphere, Song Fang finally spoke.

At first, she didn't recognize him; she just thought her sister disliked him.

But the more she listened, the more familiar the voice seemed. Finally, she found the right person in her memories.

Although those memories are unpleasant and frightening, she can still bear them now.

She knew that her sister was protecting her, afraid that she would be triggered by remembering the past, so she had been cooperating.

However, she had no choice but to step forward now, otherwise the two of them might start fighting in a little while.

“Fangfang, you…” Song Lili turned her head in surprise, all her hostility and anger dissipating.

She looked at Song Fang in surprise, feeling a little scared and uneasy, staring nervously at Song Fang.

"Sister, don't worry, I'm fine now. I won't be like that again." Song Fang smiled at Song Lili, without a trace of fear in her eyes.

"Really?" Song Lili asked, still somewhat incredulous, afraid that Song Fang might continue to force herself to stay composed.

"Really." Song Fang took Song Lili's hand and let her feel it for herself so that she could be at ease.

“Those things are in the past. I’m out of the woods now, and they won’t bother me anymore.”

As her knowledge increased, those past events had less and less impact on her, and instead made her more and more insightful.

Therefore, she didn't feel afraid when facing Chu Ci. He was just a person, and there was nothing to be afraid of.

Besides, her sister was by her side. Even if something happened, her sister would protect her. Song Fang always believed this.

So, she stepped out from behind Song Lili and stood confidently within Chu Ci's sight, letting him see her.

She looked up at Chu Ci and said, "Don't blame my sister. She's just a little worried about me."

"If you're really going to get angry, then you deserve it, because the reason my sister did this is because of you."

“So, you have no right to be angry,” Song Fang said calmly, looking at Chu Ci.

Chu Ci was completely bewildered. "Me? You mean all of this is because of me? Why? How come I didn't know?"

Chu Ci pointed at herself, staring in disbelief, feeling utterly lost and bewildered.

It's all because of him? Why doesn't he know about this person involved? Saying he deserves it? What makes you say that?

“Yes,” Song Fang nodded calmly, “it’s because of you.”
