Chapter Ninety-Three: Luo Yuejin Steals Grain

As long as this matter is ultimately attributed to Luo Yuejin, or preferably Luo Weijia, that would be ideal.

But how do we do it?

While she was still racking her brains for a solution, someone asked in confusion, "But how did they get into the warehouse?"

Awakened by the voice that seemed to come from nowhere, everyone suddenly understood, as if struck by a thunderbolt.

"Yeah, this warehouse is usually locked. How did these kids get in?"

"Only those with the warehouse key can get in; otherwise, it wouldn't have been possible for them to remain silent for so long before being discovered."

"But only the Party Secretary and the Director have the warehouse keys, how could these kids have them?"

One question can lead to many more, and these questions are constantly working to answer the questions and find the answers.

And so, as we were talking, we ended up talking about dance.

When it was mentioned that only the Party Secretary and the Director had the keys, many people glanced at Luo Yuejin discreetly, their meaning quite clear.

Luo Yuejin is Luo Weijia's son. It would be easy for him to get the warehouse key.

Although no one said it explicitly, the meaning conveyed in their eyes was self-evident, and everyone knew it in their hearts.

Luo Weijia, who was standing below the stage listening, was furious. He looked at Luo Yuejin with a dark expression, as if he wanted to go up and beat him up right now.

He had the same idea: to take the initiative and make the first move so that others would be too embarrassed to say they wanted to severely punish a few people, and he could also control the situation.

But before he could even act, someone else said, "These kids don't look like thieves. Could someone have instigated them?"

Song Lili couldn't help but laugh to herself. Who was this person? Why did he always ask the same questions that she wanted to ask?

Song Lili sensed that someone was targeting those children, or rather, one of those children.

This person has been guiding everyone, leading them to think in a certain direction.

Is this person Zhang Shengtian?

Seeing that someone had asked the question she wanted to ask, Song Lili decided not to intervene further and quietly observed how things would develop.

After this person finished speaking, someone else chimed in, "No way, who's so wicked as to encourage someone else's child to steal grain? How could they be so cruel?"

Someone even chimed in, "Who would go out of their way to instigate someone else's child? Besides, are those kids stupid? Don't they know right from wrong?"

"I think it's his own choice to go. If someone is really directing him, then only his family can be commanded."

This statement is practically an open declaration that the children's parents sent them to steal.

Now, the parents of those children no longer dared to pretend to be dead, and one after another they spoke up to defend themselves.

"How can you talk like that? Don't spout nonsense. How can you say that your family sent them to steal things?"

"Exactly, you're the one with a black heart. The child is just being naive, so why are you blaming us?"

“Secretary, we really didn’t ask them to do that. We know how important the grain seeds are.”

Some short-tempered parents would yell at their children, "You little brat, tell me right now, who told you to steal the grain? If you don't tell me, I'll break your legs."

"Say it now, do you want to bring bad luck to your whole family?"

If this is classified as a child's behavior, a simple punishment will suffice. However, if it is ultimately classified as the child being instructed by the parents to steal, then the nature of the crime changes.

So, how could those parents not be anxious?

The children who were criticized by the crowd and threatened by their own fathers on the stage were even more frightened.

They all lowered their heads, wishing they could disappear into the ground so no one could see them.

Moreover, they had never seen such a scene before. Even Luo Yuejin, who was usually arrogant and domineering, was somewhat afraid and shrank his neck, not daring to make a sound.

This puts enormous pressure on the children, constantly pounding on their fragile little hearts.

Finally, one of the children couldn't hold back anymore and broke down crying, "It was Yuejin, Luo Yuejin! He said he was going to steal grain to burn and eat, so we went."

Once the first child spoke up, the other children followed suit, proving that what that child said was true.

"Yes, it was Luo Yuejin. He's the one who sent us."

"It's Luo Yuejin."

"It's him."

"..."

More and more voices were talking about Luo Yuejin, and eventually, almost all the children testified against him.
