Chapter Sixty-Three Being Made Difficult

First, people were assigned to plow the fields. These tasks were usually done by men, and even teenagers were not allowed to do them.

Because this is a technical job, people who have never plowed before may not be able to handle it well. Sometimes the seeds may be too dense, and sometimes they may be too sparse. This requires good cooperation between the person plowing and the person sowing the seeds.

In previous years, the plowing work was done by experienced uncles and elders, but this year, Song Jianshe was assigned to plow the fields.

At that moment, Song Lili realized that she was being targeted.

She asked, somewhat puzzled, "Director Luo, my brother probably isn't good at plowing, is he? If he's not good at it, it could affect the yield."

So please think twice. Do you really want to use the villagers' food rations to cause trouble?

People around him said, "That's right, Jianshe has never done these things before. If you ask him to plow the land suddenly, he won't be able to do it well."

"Director Luo, just let someone else do it. Jianshe can collect stones, rake the ground, or carry seeds. Why do you want him to plow the land?"

The person who said this was very straightforward and didn't even realize that he might have offended Luo Weijia by saying this.

Song Lili raised an eyebrow at Luo Weijia and asked, "Everyone has said that, are you still going to insist?"

Luo Weijia was furious when he saw Song Lili's ambiguous smile.

You little brat, are you mocking him?

Originally, Luo Weijia had already wavered, so he decided to take the opportunity to arrange for Song Jianshe to do other things.

But when Song Lili looked at him like that, a rebellious thought suddenly popped into his mind. He wanted to make Song Lili change her expression and feel uncomfortable.

He looked around at everyone, and finally fixed his gaze on Song Lili's face. "Isn't it because Yongren broke his leg and his family couldn't find anyone to help him this year?"

“You said that every family has one person to plow the fields, and it’s not right for a family to build a house without one going. Wouldn’t that be unfair to the other families?”

“I know that Jianshe has never done this kind of work before and may not do it well, but Jianshe is already a big company and I have been watching it for several years. I have learned how to do it by watching.”

"Besides, which of the men in our Hongqi Village didn't learn by watching? No one taught them, but they still learned, didn't they?"

"So, if you have any questions about construction, just ask the other uncles and elders. These things aren't difficult."

Luo Weijia smiled very kindly, and what he said seemed to make a lot of sense.

But upon closer reflection, it becomes clear where the problem lies.

In Hongqi Village, no one specifically taught the men how to plow the land, but which father didn't tell his children the methods and techniques while plowing?

Where can you really learn something just by watching?

Besides, we're earning work points now, and work points are calculated on a per-person basis. Since Song Yongren can't work, we can just not give him work points. How is this related to fairness to others?

If plowing is not difficult, then why are so many boys of Song Jianshe's age not allowed to plow? Are all the other people in Hongqi Village stupid?

This is clearly aimed at Song Jianshe and the Song family.

The country folk are simple and honest, and they don't have many complicated ideas. They all nodded in agreement when they heard that what Luo Weijia said made sense.

An uncle kindly said, "Director Luo is right. Everyone has gone through this. You'll get it after doing it a few more times."

"If you don't know how to do something, come and ask us for help."

Song Jianshe smiled and agreed, without showing any sign of embarrassment.

Song Lili didn't know if Song Jianshe was capable of doing it, but even if he wasn't, he had no choice but to do it now.

However, Song Lili thought that Song Jianshe should be able to do it, even if he didn't do it well, he should at least know the basics.

Song Lili didn't bother with Song Jianshe's affairs. With so many people plowing the land together, even if Luo Weijia wanted to make things difficult for Song Jianshe, he wouldn't dare to go too far.

It's estimated that Luo Weijia will make things difficult for her.

Today, only Song Lili and Song Jianshe, a brother and sister, came from the Song family. Song Fang stayed at home and was not brought along, nor was she required to earn work points.

Song Lili was curious to know how Luo Weijia would make things difficult for her, since Song Jianshe dared not do it so openly.

Song Lili guessed that Luo Weijia would probably have her implanted, as it seemed that only in this way could he make things difficult for her.

Sure enough, Luo Weijia arranged for Song Lili to be given a seed.

Song Lili raised her eyebrows. It seemed that they had formed a grudge. Luo Weijia was making things difficult for her family at every turn and had no intention of letting them off the hook.

She didn't say anything, nor did she argue that the work assigned to her was wrong; she just calmly accepted it.

Song Lili is very strong, but many people don't know that she doesn't care about the weight of the seeds. She can carry the whole bag of seeds on her back with ease.

But others didn't know, and such a big arrangement elicited mixed reactions.

Some people felt that this arrangement was unreasonable, some were completely unaware, and some were fully aware of it but pretended not to know anything.

Of course, there were also a couple of gloating people who were just waiting to see Song Lili make a fool of herself.

Song Lili had no idea what these people were thinking, and of course, she didn't want to know.

She is like an elegant orchid, blooming quietly, yet no one can ignore her presence.

Everyone was waiting for Song Lili's reaction, but she didn't react at all, which surprised everyone.

Song Lili's behavior made Luo Weijia and Xu Youcai uncomfortable.

If the arrangement is unreasonable, you should at least object or resist it, so that they can have a legitimate "explanation".
