Chapter Thirty-Two: Losing Money for Pigs

When leaders are dissatisfied, the most direct result is a reduction in everyone's personal benefits.

How could anyone possibly agree to that?

Immediately, someone chimed in, "That's right, Director Luo, your son beat this pig, so what are you going to do about it? We can't let the commune leaders be unhappy!"

These words were met with agreement from the majority of people, many of whom couldn't help but nod in agreement, saying, "Yes, Director Luo, what do you suggest we do?"

Many people are secretly laughing to themselves, gloating over the misfortune.

Normally, Luo Weijia is petty and holds grudges, and has caused trouble for many people. Now that something has happened to Luo Weijia's family, how could they not be happy?

They were simply suppressing their excitement, using the entire village as a serious excuse.

Luo Weijia knew exactly what everyone was thinking; at that moment, he really felt like he was about to vomit blood.

Gritting his teeth, he suddenly turned around and slapped Luo Yuejin hard across the side. "You ignorant fool, apologize!"

Luo Yuejin was stunned by Luo Weijia's slap, his eyes widening in surprise as he stared at Luo Weijia in disbelief.

He never expected Luo Weijia to hit him.

Luo Weijia was unkind to outsiders, but he doted on his son, even spoiling him.

In his memory, he had never been hit.

This is the first time!

Luo Yuejin wanted to explode on the spot, but before his anger could even rise, he saw Luo Weijia's gaze.

Cold-hearted and ruthless, it was accompanied by anger and even shame.

Suddenly, Luo Yuejin didn't dare to do it anymore.

He had never seen a father like this before, much less a father with such a gaze. He was suddenly afraid.

Luo Yuejin's anger had not yet subsided when fear and dread arose, the two emotions intertwining and distorting his face.

But he still had to apologize.

Covering her face, she felt humiliated for the first time, and whispered so softly that she could barely be heard, "I'm sorry."

However, apart from Luo Yuejin himself, no one heard his voice. Even Luo Weijia, who was next to him, only saw his lips move, but no sound came out at all.

Luo Weijia became even angrier.

In his eyes, Luo Yuejin's current posture of covering his face and lowering his head was an indication that he was unrepentant and determined not to apologize.

His temper flared. He slapped her again, his voice much more violent now, "I told you to apologize, didn't you hear me?"

Luo Yuejin felt even more humiliated, which fueled hatred in his heart, not only for Song Lili, but also for his father, Luo Weijia.

But he also knew that he had to apologize now.

With his eyes closed, he shouted "I'm sorry" with a death-defying air.

Everyone heard that sound.

When Luo Weijia slapped Luo Yuejin a second time, everyone quieted down. Even though Luo Yuejin's slap was a little softer, everyone could hear it clearly.

Not to mention it's this big!

Song Lili felt a chill in her heart towards Luo Weijia.

Even tigers do not eat their cubs.

I never imagined that Luo Weijia could be so ruthless to others, and also to his own children.

They showed no mercy and used all their strength to beat people, just like they did on the stage back then.

Song Lili felt once again that Luo Weijia was the most terrifying person.

However, even if she sympathizes with Luo Yuejin now, she won't say anything; he only has himself to blame.

She was originally thinking about how to avenge Fangfang, but for now, she'd let his father collect some interest for her.

Song Lili thought this to herself, but her eyes remained indifferent.

Seeing Luo Yuejin get slapped, he said to Luo Weijia, "Director Luo, I hope you can give me an explanation for this matter."

“The pigs are raised by my family. If this matter is not clarified, when it comes time to hand in the task, people will think that we have been negligent and that is why the pigs have turned out like this.”

“If the people of the commune hold us accountable, we cannot bear the consequences, so we hope you can uphold justice for us.”

In order to disgust Luo Weijia, Song Lili specifically used the phrase "upholding justice".

On one side are his family, and on the other is his reputation in the eyes of those he cares about. I wonder what he will choose?

Luo Weijia really had to grit his teeth and swallow his anger!

He gritted his teeth and said, "I will explain this to the people in the commune and won't make things difficult for you."

"As for your sister Fangfang, we will cover all the hospital expenses, and we will also cover any other expenses that may arise later."

Luo Weijia felt that he had already ceded territory and paid reparations, signing an unequal treaty that humiliated the country and ceded its sovereignty, so he thought that Song Lili should have happily agreed.
