Chapter 163

The other group leaders quickly said, "Chairman Su, this is not your problem."

"That's right, what Xu Lili did without permission has nothing to do with you."

"Chairman Su, if anyone should write it, it should be Xu Lili."

Su Yu said, "She has to write it too, and I have to write it myself. No one can violate the rules of our student council; these are the regulations. Without rules, there can be no order."

After hearing Su Yu's words, no one objected anymore. They just felt that Chairman Su was truly strict with himself.

After finishing this task, Su Yu pointed at Li Ping and said, "Li Ping, since Xu Lili isn't here, why don't you help her take notes on the meeting?"

"Okay," Li Ping quickly replied.

Su Yu then got to the point, “Today, everyone’s efforts have been seen not only by me, but also by other students and teachers. School leaders and city leaders have also seen them. Students, the facts prove that our efforts have not been in vain. I believe that after today, our student union will soon be recognized by the school. In the future, you will be recognized as legitimate student union members in your records. This has been my guiding principle, and it is also the direction you are all striving for. Students, the dawn is just ahead.”

Upon hearing Su Yu's words, the student council members all showed excited expressions. Their only source of insecurity was that they were not recognized by the school.

Now, under Chairman Su's leadership, there is finally hope.

Everyone was tired, so Su Yu didn't say much. After having each group leader give a brief report on their work, she dismissed everyone.

Back in the dorm, Su Yu quietly sat down at her desk and began writing a self-criticism. The other dorm members were all complaining that Xu Lili lacked a sense of collective honor, was too willful, and left without taking responsibility, dragging others down with her.

Li Ping, on the other hand, sat quietly in her chair watching Su Yu, seemingly lost in thought.

The next morning, Su Yu got up early to prepare to go home. Apart from her and Li Ping, no one else planned to go back. After all, they were coming over in the afternoon, and traveling back and forth by car like this would be too rushed.

As they walked towards the school gate, Li Ping asked, "Sister Su Yu, why are you writing a self-criticism?"

Su Yu, carrying her schoolbag, looked at her upon hearing this and smiled, "What do you think?"

Li Ping opened her mouth, then thought she shouldn't overthink it. But she felt that Su Yu didn't have to write that self-criticism.

Su Yu smiled and said, "After I wrote the self-criticism, what are your thoughts?"

"I hate Xu Lili even more, I feel sorry for you."

“That’s right, that’s why I wrote the self-criticism,” Su Yu said with a smile. “Admitting your mistake is fine, everyone knows it’s about not letting others get away with it anyway. From now on, if anyone bullies you, just do the same.”

"..." Li Ping felt as if she had learned something extraordinary again. She felt touched; even if she were slow to grasp things, she knew that Sister Su Yu wouldn't just tell anyone these things. But Sister Su Yu was still willing to teach her. "Sister Su Yu, why are you so good to me?"

Su Yu said earnestly, "Maybe it's because I hope that after you become successful, you will still treat me well."

Upon hearing this, Li Ping couldn't help but laugh, feeling that Su Yu was joking, yet also quite touched. She never imagined that the first person in the world to have expectations of her wouldn't be her parents, but rather her sister Su Yu.

She thought to herself shyly that if she became successful in the future, she would definitely treat Su Yu well and not let her down.

Seeing Li Ping's grateful expression, Su Yu felt a rare pang of guilt. She had told the truth; if others didn't believe her, it was no wonder.

As soon as the two stepped out, Su Yu saw Secretary Song wearing a white shirt and military trousers, waiting at the gate on a bicycle, with his hands deliberately in his pockets, looking dashing and unrestrained.

Su Yu smiled, pursed her lips, and waved goodbye to Li Ping. Then, remembering something, she instructed, "Go back and visit your father at the military region first. He came to see you yesterday. Go and thank him as soon as possible and express your gratitude."

He then ran towards Secretary Song.

After boarding the bus, Li Ping began to ponder Su Yu's instructions. After getting off the bus, she didn't return to the compound but went directly to the military region.

Although it was the weekend, she knew her father was definitely working at the military base.

Sure enough, when she arrived at the military district, the soldier at the guard post helped her make a phone call to the office and let her in.

As Wu stood at the office door, he saw Li Ping arrive and waved to her with great enthusiasm. "Comrade Li Ping, the poem you recited yesterday was truly beautiful. Did you write it yourself? Our leader memorized it as soon as he got back. You wrote it well."
