Su Yu distributed the food according to the work done, giving each family member two spoonfuls of corn porridge and a sweet potato.
When the money was divided up, Su Dazhi and Liu Mei received the least.
"Liu Mei didn't do any housework today, nor did she ask for her food in advance, so there's no food for her. But she is Dazhi's wife after all, so Dazhi, just share some of Liu Mei's food with you."
Su Lin and Su Zhi immediately nodded in agreement.
Su Dazhi: "..."

Because he ate little for dinner, Su Dazhi felt a bit unwell. It wasn't that he was angry with Su Yu, since Su Yu had given him a generous portion. However, because of Liu Mei, he didn't eat as much. Therefore, the slight joy he felt at Liu Mei's return didn't diminish.
When he went to sleep at night, he would deliberately keep a distance from Liu Mei.
"Dazhi..." Liu Mei leaned closer. She refused to believe that her man wouldn't be intimate with her after sleeping with her.
"Go to sleep. Big sister doesn't like noise at night," Su Dazhi said sullenly, then closed his eyes and went to sleep.
He realized that he was actually doing quite well these past few days when Liu Mei wasn't home. His older sister would always tell them stories from the past at night, which made him feel comforted. Unlike now, when everyone sleeps separately and no one talks to each other.
On the other hand, Su Yu was also considering a problem.
This house is too big. What if Su Dazhi and his wife decide to do something someday? Should she listen or not...?
The next morning, Su Yu heard Su Lin shouting, "Sister-in-law, eldest sister, men's and women's clothes should be washed separately. Men's clothes smell bad."
Looking out the window, it's still quite dark, with the morning star still hanging in the sky.

Su Lin got up very early. She had never gotten up this early before. After all, nobody wants to get up to work. Although it has to be done, it's best to do it later.

So when Su Yu carried the toiletries to the door, Su Lin was already cooking, and Liu Mei was sitting on a stool washing clothes. She was moving rather slowly.
"If you haven't finished washing up by breakfast, don't eat," Su Yu instructed before heading off to wash up. She wasn't going to give Liu Mei a friendly look these days. Someone like that would take advantage of anyone who wasn't in charge. If she didn't keep her in check, she'd never know who was really in charge of the household.
As soon as Su Yu left, Su Lin said smugly, "Did you hear that, big sister? No food until you finish washing up."
Liu Mei stood up angrily, "I'm going out to eat."
