Because of Yan Fang's presence, and Su Yu's occasional remarks that brought up Wu Guozhi's past, the three of them didn't say much after the meal.
After eating, Su Yu took Yan Fang to work.
"Comrade Guozhi, thank you for the meal. Comrade Fang and I have to go to work now, so we won't keep you company any longer. After all, work is the most important thing."
Before Wu Guozhi could speak, Yan Fang impatiently pulled Su Yu away.
Wu Guozhi looked down at the mess on the table, then at his empty pockets. A chill ran through him.
He came to see Su Yu several times, but didn't say a single useful word, though he did eat quite a lot of food!
On the other side, Su Yu smiled and said, "Fang, I'll find a chance to treat you this afternoon. Wu Guozhi's invitation doesn't count. I really don't like spending other people's money."
Yan Fang sighed, "No need, but Su Yu, do you really want to date someone like him? I don't think he's a responsible person."
"But I've been waiting for Comrade Wu Guozhi for several years. Are we just going to give up like this?"
Su Yu hesitated for a moment.
