Work had already started, and the workers were all busy at their respective posts. The factory yard was practically deserted. Lin, the clerk, and Su Yu walked around the yard carrying enamel mugs, attracting a few glances from passersby.
After taking two sips of water, Officer Lin spoke, “Su Yu, you must be very busy with work lately.”
Su Yu comfortably poured herself a glass of water. "Of course! The competition just ended, and I still have to write the summary and prepare for next month's competition. Plus, there's the newspaper to publish—all these things are piling up. But I feel quite fulfilled. It's better than having nothing to do. You know, when I went to the factory committee today, Officer Tian and the others had such dark faces. So, it's better to be busy. I like a busy life."
Her words flowed fluently, but Lin, the clerk, felt a tightness in her chest. Once more people were hired, she would have more free time.
"Su Yu, do you need my help? I can help you. You see, I don't usually have much to do."
Su Yu shook her head and said, "No need, you've already helped me a lot. I can handle it. Besides, you still have to work for Chairman Sun. You can't just not do it, can you? Or are you feeling ashamed to face Chairman Sun because he wanted to bring male comrades over?"

Su Yu followed behind and reported to her on yesterday's summary work and today's work plan, explaining each point in a very organized manner. Committee Member Hu was extremely satisfied.

After a while, Committee Member Hu called Committee Member Zhang out for a discussion, and then, for some reason, he called Secretary Lin out for a talk.
Yan Fang looked at Su Yu with concern, "What exactly happened?"
Su Yu sighed, saying helplessly, "It's not good if some things aren't settled yet. After all, it's related to Officer Lin's personal matters."
"Sister Su Yu, just be careful. Don't get scammed."
As the two were talking, the three entered. Officer Lin's eyes were red, clearly indicating that he had just poured out his grievances again, playing the family card.
