In the afternoon, Su Yu finished the research plan and first gave it to Deputy Director Zhang for review.
Looking at the format of the plan prepared by Su Yu, Deputy Director Zhang's eyes lit up. He looked up at Su Yu, who had a calm expression on her face, and thought to himself, "This woman really seems to have some ability."
"Su, what's with this survey?"
Su Yu said, "The main focus is on analyzing the workers' needs. What kind of houses are suitable? Should they be like those in the textile factory, or like the single rooms of the past? We also need to analyze whether the workers' families can afford the cost of such large-scale housing construction, and how much they can afford."
"Oh, yes, these are all things that need to be taken into account."
After reviewing it, Deputy Director Zhang had no further comments. These were all relatively new concepts to him, things he hadn't encountered before, but he found them indeed useful. They were more detailed, clearer, and more logically sound than simple voting methods used in the past.
Deputy Director Zhang took the research plan and went to communicate with Deputy Mayor Qiu.
As a leader who puts the people first and solves the difficulties of workers, Vice Mayor Qiu immediately approved Su Yu's survey questionnaire, which was based entirely on the opinions of workers, and put Su Yu in charge of the matter.
This shows the benefits of dividing job responsibilities beforehand. Everyone else has their own responsibilities, and Su Yu, as the consultant, is a bit less busy, so the tasks she raises fall to her.
After Vice Mayor Qiu announced the matter, everyone realized that their current work would have to wait until Su Yu's research report was submitted, which would then serve as a valid reference before they could proceed to the next step...
After get off work in the afternoon, Su Yu printed out research reports in her office.
Without computers or printers, all these things had to be made by hand. Fortunately, she only needed to make a few copies to provide to the various organizations, and they could then figure out how many they needed themselves.
Secretary Song dawdled around the office for half the time, taking notes and making tea. Finally, she couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you going home yet?"
Su Yu looked up and said, "I still have something to do. I'll leave after I finish it."
If this were at the factory, she would definitely delegate this task to someone else. But the municipal party committee is different; she's only just arrived and hasn't even settled in yet, so it's inappropriate for her to start ordering people around. As for Zhu, she's a document clerk in the municipal party committee office, not part of the group, so she's even less likely to be managed.
Secretary Song walked over, sat down beside her, and took her pen. "Never mind, I'll write it. At your speed, when will you ever finish? It's taking up too much time."
Su Yu resisted the urge to roll her eyes and politely smiled, "Secretary Song, this is my job. No matter how slow I am, I can't trouble you, Secretary Song."
Secretary Song said sternly, "Are you even going to study? The exam is in just over two months. Have you studied? Are you giving up on university? Do you think it's easy to get into university? Do you know how much effort I put in? Even someone as smart as me struggled with it. If it were you..." This is a big problem!
It wasn't over yet. Secretary Song wanted to slap herself for being so argumentative... She quickly changed her tune, "Even if it were simple for you, it wouldn't be that simple."
Su Yu feigned suspicion and asked, "Secretary Song, why are you so concerned about my studies?"
"...Perhaps it's to cultivate talent," Secretary Song said weakly. Why? Of course, it's because they don't want her to be discouraged if she fails the exam.
If I can't pass the exam at my age, when will I have another chance?
Su Yu suddenly realized, "I see. In that case, I'll trouble Secretary Song."
Wan Shunshui pushed the paper and pen next to Secretary Song.
Some things can't be discussed just by talking.
Secretary Song took it and began working on it diligently. Su Yu, on the other hand, took out her notebook and started doing math problems.
After doing two questions, she looked up, took a sip of water, and glanced to the side.
The young man next to him was working diligently, as if it were his own job, without being perfunctory or showing any impatience.
Viewed from the side, his profile actually has a killer side profile.
Su Yu suddenly realized that raising a bee like this would have been quite nice in her time. Unfortunately, she realized this too late; she couldn't afford it now. Raising one now would mean a lifetime of responsibility, the price was too high, and she couldn't be hasty.
Even her own family would abandon her, let alone a man with whom she had no relation.
Even if you're going to look for someone, you should find someone reliable.
After being stared at by Su Yu for a while, Secretary Song finally looked up and rubbed her palms. As soon as she looked up, she saw Su Yu and immediately coughed nervously, "Why are you looking at me? Do your homework."
Su Yu smiled and took out the agreement they had written earlier from her notebook.
"Secretary Song, I just found this out, and it reminded me of when you're going to find a partner. You see, I'm preparing for the college entrance exam. There's no way I'll be looking for a partner in college, Secretary Song, I think you'll lose."
Secretary Song's mind went blank for a moment.
He glanced at the agreement and retorted, "Why don't you find a partner while in college? Lots of people find partners while in college. They all do it secretly and get married right after graduation!"
Su Yu said, "That's someone else. I'm a law-abiding student. Secretary Song, don't tell me you secretly looked for someone in college."
Secretary Song said sternly, "I didn't look for anyone, don't talk nonsense. I'm focused on studying to serve my country!"
Su Yu nodded, her eyes full of admiration as she looked at Secretary Song. "You're truly a kindred spirit. That's what I'm planning to do too."
