On her second day at work, Su Yu, as usual, went to clean Chairman Sun's office, wipe the tables, and make him a cup of tea. The place wasn't big, and she finished in a few minutes. However, she deliberately dawdled, waiting until Chairman Sun arrived before returning to her own office.
As she approached the office, she ran into Officer Tian.
Officer Tian walked into the office with a smug look on her face. She seemed to have come from the logistics department.
Suddenly, he saw Su Yu in front of him, and a look of disdain immediately flashed in his eyes.
Su Yu raised an eyebrow. "Officer Tian, we don't need a car today."
Ms. Tian's face immediately darkened. She hadn't managed to get a car yesterday and had been severely criticized by Director Gao for being incompetent.
Why is she so incompetent? She arrived half an hour early, but who knew the union would act so quickly? I've never seen them do this before.
In the end, Director Gao's criticism went so far as to say that her work ability was not even as good as Su Yu from the labor union. Su Yu had more ideas and was more meticulous in her work.
This is infuriating!
To get there early, she rushed to the logistics department as soon as she arrived at work and finally managed to reserve a car. But now, Su Yu's union doesn't need the car anymore.

Su Yu smiled and said, "Officer Tian, I really think we get along quite well. Don't be prejudiced against our union. We're all from the textile factory, is it really necessary? This kind of thinking is not good."
After she finished speaking, she smiled and went into the office.
Officer Tian stomped his foot in anger.
As Officer Gao came out of his office to pour out stale tea, he saw her stomping her foot and looked surprised. "Tian, what are you doing?"
Officer Tian gritted his teeth and said, "It's none of your business!!"
He stormed into the office.
Officer Gao frowned. This woman's temper was really bad. Comrade Su Yu next door was much more likable and had a good temperament. Sigh, if only they could switch places.
Inside the union office, Officer Lin had already arrived at work, but he looked listless, though he seemed to be putting on quite a show.
Seeing Su Yu arrive, she waved to her. When Su Yu came over, she said, "I heard you went to a meeting with Chairman Sun yesterday?"
Su Yu nodded, "Yes."
"How's it going?" Officer Lin asked with concern, clearly still attached to his position.
Su Yu frowned and said, "Don't even mention it. I stood there like a block of wood all morning, not knowing what to do. I didn't know a single person. Chairman Sun didn't talk to me either. It was incredibly boring; I felt like I'd rather be working in the office."
Lin, the clerk, seemed relieved and smiled, "It's nothing, just a few minutes. Just bear with it. He doesn't often take people out with him."
Su Yu nodded, then asked, "Officer Lin, why are you sick?"
Lin said, "This is so that I can ask Chairman Sun for leave. I can't just not go." She glanced to the side and added, "If Chairman Sun asks, you'll just say I'm not fully recovered yet."
Su Yu nodded, "Okay, no problem."
Officer Lin said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of your work."
Su Yu nodded again, "No problem." Then she added, "But are you really not going to try again?"
"Forget it, since the leader has already spoken, there's nothing I can do to fight for it."
"Officer Lin sighed."
Su Yu patted her arm and said solemnly, "Officer Lin, don't worry, I will help you do your job well."
A complex mix of emotions, including guilt, unease, and gratitude, immediately flashed in Officer Lin's eyes.
"Su Yu, thank you. I will help you in the future."
Su Yu waved her hand.
She didn't believe a word of it.
With Officer Lin back, Su Yu had much less to do. She had already taken care of the main tasks, and she didn't compete for the remaining miscellaneous duties. She took every opportunity to review her lessons.
Yan Fang noticed her looking at her textbook and asked curiously, "Sister Su Yu, why are you reading?"
"I want to learn more so I can use it in my future work. I feel that I have really learned a lot since I went to vocational school."
Yan Fang looked on with admiration.
Su Yu said, "You should read more books and study more in your spare time."
"Me? I don't have much time usually." Yan Fang blushed. "After get off work, I usually just go for a walk with my boyfriend."
Comrade Yan Fang's partner was a teacher. Su Yu had met him once and could tell at a glance that he was an intellectual.
"When are you planning to get married?" Su Yu asked, unusually gossipy.
"I don't know yet. He's still living in a single dorm, and so am I. We won't have anywhere to live even after we get married. I don't want to squeeze in with their whole family..."
Su Yu sighed upon hearing this, it seems that housing is always a hurdle for promising young people to overcome when it comes to marriage.
After reading for a while, Su Yu left the office again. She strolled around for a bit, avoiding the gaze of the factory committee office, before heading to the logistics department.
In the factory committee office, Officer Gao looked curiously at Officer Tian, who was peering out like a thief while clinging to the door frame. "Tian, what are you doing? Comrade Su Yu is just passing by, and you're watching?"
Officer Tian squinted and said, "What do you know? She's got too many tricks up her sleeve. I have to be careful."

Back at the logistics department, Director Liu was paying Su Yu. He had mentioned the arrest to Su Yu yesterday, and since Su Yu was coming today to bring it, he could just pay her directly. However, Director Liu was still quite uneasy. Getting the arrest without a ticket—wasn't that too good to be true?
"Hey Su, I really don't need a ticket. Don't be shy with me, we're brothers, so let's keep things clear. Don't let me take advantage of you."
