Su Yu's words struck a chord with Chairman Sun.
This person is truly a rare talent.
He hadn't realized it before, but now that he'd discovered Su Yu's talent, things were going smoothly and things were developing better and better, and he was starting to appreciate the benefits.
"Let's go with Tian then. She's already a deputy director, so it's only right that she's promoted. Lao Gao and I will go."
Su Yu said, "I suggest that after you finish, you talk to Tian and let her know that you appreciate her."
Chairman Sun immediately smiled, "Yes. We should encourage Tian."
After leaving Chairman Sun's office, Su Yu went to the service department to find Deputy Director Tian.
"Director Su, have you finished taking care of your business with the government?"
"Not yet, we're wrapping things up. I'm here today specifically to hand over the work."
Deputy Director Tian was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
Su Yu said seriously, "Vice Mayor Qiu has asked me to work in a government department, so I won't be coming to the factory anymore. Tian, are you ready for what happened with you last time? I strongly recommended you to Chairman Sun. He just agreed. I really put in a lot of effort to get you promoted, after all, you know what's going on between the trade union and the factory committee."
The series of messages left Deputy Director Tian speechless. "Director Su, are you really leaving?"
When she came back last time, she thought it was over.
It was achieved so quickly?
Deputy Director Tian stared at Su Yu's face for several seconds before finally speaking, "Director Su, congratulations."
"Same to you, same to you. I'm leaving now, and you're coming up right away. Didn't you ask me to recommend someone for you last time? I've already decided. It's Team Leader Wu from the logistics department who manages the warehouse. She's a good person, honest and straightforward. She won't compete with you for work here, and she won't try to be clever. She's perfect for a leader like you who's all about getting things done."
Team Leader Wu from the warehouse, Deputy Director Tian certainly knew her; she was a forty-year-old woman, not very talkative, and had been working at the factory for almost twenty years…
However, she didn't think Su Yu would recommend someone for no reason. "Director Su, is there anything else you need?"
"I wouldn't say I gave orders, but I just feel that since you selected Team Leader Wu, is there someone else going to take over her work?"
Deputy Director Tian understood as soon as he heard this.
Su Yu patted her shoulder, "Tian, Team Leader Wu will be under your command from now on. You can keep this favor. You can settle things with Team Leader Wu later."
“…Alright, Director Su.” Deputy Director Tian sighed helplessly.
After saying goodbye to everyone at the service department, Su Yu went to the union office to say goodbye to Committee Member Hu and Committee Member Zhang.
When everyone heard the news that she was leaving the factory, they were both surprised and reluctant to see her go.
Although Su Yu hadn't spent much time with them, the guild now bears her traces everywhere.
The things everyone is doing were all suggested and started by Su Yu.
Now, out of the blue, they've just left.
Yan Fang pulled Su Yu aside and said, "I'm getting married on May Day, and I'd like to invite you to my wedding."
Su Yu smiled and said, "You forgot, we still live in the same courtyard, so it won't affect anything. I'll even go to your wedding to have some wedding candy and share in the joy."
Committee Member Hu said with a smile, "Su, you should start looking for someone too."
"I'm also looking at potential partners," Su Yu said with a smile.
"Comrade Su." Secretary Song's voice came from outside the door.
Su Yu turned around and saw Secretary Song walk in. He greeted everyone warmly, "Hello everyone, thank you for taking care of Secretary Su in the past and for cultivating talent for us. If it weren't for the union's training, we wouldn't have discovered such a talent as Secretary Su."
Committee members Hu and Zhang recognized him and smiled politely. Committee member Hu said with a smile, "It's all because Su is successful."
Secretary Song said, "Thank you all anyway."
Su Yu smiled and said, "Secretary Song is a very polite person."
Sensing the warning in Su Yu's tone, Secretary Song smiled and remained silent.
Su Yu didn't linger because she still had work to do at the group's office. She needed to go back to Chairman Sun's place to pack her things, so she said goodbye to Yan Fang and the others.
Yan Fang followed them out to see them off, feeling a little reluctant to part. "Sister Su Yu, come visit us sometime in the future."
Su Yu smiled and said, "Of course, we'll see each other on May 1st, won't we? Not long."
Secretary Song asked curiously, "What are you doing?"
“…I’m getting married,” Yan Fang said shyly.
Secretary Song Gao Xin said, "This is wonderful news! Congratulations! I'll definitely go and join in the fun. It's been a long time since our municipal party committee has been this lively."
Yan Fang: "...Then welcome Secretary Song."
After Yan Fang left, Secretary Song followed Su Yu with a smile to help move things.
Chairman Sun was no longer in his office; he had gone to the factory committee to discuss Tian's promotion. Gao Ming and Cheng Li were busy inside helping Su Yu pack her things. They even thoughtfully found her a cardboard box to pack them up.
The box contained Su Yu's usual notebooks, teacups, tea leaves, and books.
"Secretary Su, everything's packed. Do you think anything's missing?" Gao Ming said with a smile.
Cheng Li also said, "We tidied up very carefully, and we didn't make a mess of it."
Su Yu quickly thanked them with a smile. She glanced around briefly; everything she needed was there, and she didn't bother taking anything else that wasn't important. "Gao, Cheng, thank you so much for everything these past few days. Even after I leave this place, I'll still think of you. If you ever have any difficulties, just let me know, and I'll help if I can."
Gao Ming and Cheng Li looked very happy.
"As for who will take my place, frankly, you are all too inexperienced. It wouldn't be appropriate for me to recommend anyone."
