The school leaders had no idea that the student council had actually invited city leaders. The crucial point is that the city leaders actually came.
The people who came this time were Secretary Song, Secretary Qiu's chief secretary; Secretary Li, Mayor Chen's chief secretary; Vice Mayor Xu, the city's first vice mayor; Director Zhou from the Secretariat; and Director Sun from the Finance Bureau.
Although Secretary Qiu and Mayor Chen didn't come, their chief secretaries did, which means they represented them. Quite a few leaders showed up this time.
These students are really good at causing trouble.
Secretary Song and Li Mei both expressed their regret that their respective leaders wanted to come, but were unable to due to being too busy with official duties. They then exchanged pleasantries with the school leaders.
Vice Mayor Xu was quite unhappy. He had planned to send only his secretary, but his wife insisted that he come to this student activity in order to support his daughter's work.
What kind of job is it? It's just being a student leader.
Although he thought this way, he still had a warm smile on his face and shook hands with each of the school leaders.

She waited until the school and city leaders finished exchanging pleasantries and walked over together before she led Xu Lili and Li Ping over as well.
"Welcome to our school, leaders. On behalf of all the students, I would like to thank you for your support and care."
The highest-ranking official here is Vice Mayor Xu, so everyone is looking at him and letting him speak first.
Vice Mayor Xu smiled politely, "Su, I know you well. You're quite capable at your workplace, and you're still excellent at school. You've brought honor to our unit. Keep up the good work and strive to serve the people in the future."

I feel like my daughter really doesn't know her place. If people knew he came for her sake, wouldn't his trip have been pointless? And they'd even see it as him using his position for personal gain.
Su Yu and Secretary Song exchanged a quick, furtive glance before each putting on a serious expression.
The students were both excited and nervous when they heard that not only school leaders were coming, but also city leaders.
The student council members, in particular, never expected that they would be able to invite so many people to the National Day event. Even some parents craned their necks to see what was happening.
Before the performance, Su Yu discussed with the vice principal whether to invite a city leader to give an opening speech.
In these kinds of situations, when people come, they should be given some recognition. And having these leaders make an appearance is more prestigious than doing it yourself. After all, she invited them.
Upon hearing that he was to give the opening speech, Vice Mayor Xu laughed and said, "I haven't prepared at all."

I hereby announce that the National Day celebration program of Jiangdong University has officially begun."
A round of enthusiastic applause followed.
The first performance was a patriotic song, "Singing for the Motherland." A group of young male and female students, dressed neatly, stood in rows on the stage and sang in unison, "The five-star red flag flutters in the wind, the victory song is so loud..."
The atmosphere of the celebration began as the singing started.
Li Ping kept looking around, trying to find someone she knew, but there were too many people around, and some people had nowhere to sit, so they simply stood, which made it impossible for her to see the whole corner clearly.
However, considering the date, she felt the possibility of it happening was quite high. So she stopped paying attention.
After the singing, it was Li Ping's turn to recite poetry.
