Chapter 37 We found someone even more powerful.

The technical advisor, named Hans, had a full beard and his blue amber eyes widened in surprise. He then said in a serious tone, "We've already said that our machines are fine."

President Xu shook his head slightly: "No, the machine malfunction was something we both witnessed. It was unavoidable. We don't need you all to stay and provide guidance anymore. We've found someone more capable."

His lips curved into a perfectly measured smile, his reply neither too firm nor too soft.

Before Hans could answer, he said with a smile, "It's almost time, so I won't keep you any longer."

Hans then noticed that President Xu glanced at the watch on his wrist and turned to walk towards the factory.

When Hans returned to the group of technical advisors from Country D, he seemed somewhat distracted. The one leading them was an old blond man named Ralph, who had just asked Hans to go and inquire about the matter.

In his view, China is backward and poor, knows nothing, and yet wants to boss him around, so he won't stay here.

"what happened?"

Hans, regaining his composure, replied, "Ralph, President Xu said those machines have started operating, and..."

Ralph proudly raised his chin: "I knew it, the machine is fine."

Hans shook his head: "Ralph, the machine does have a problem. We saw it with our own eyes. We even went behind the backs of the Chinese to check every part of the machine according to the blueprints, but we still couldn't find the problem."

"This is not our problem. All the machines are extremely precise. If the other machines are working without issue, this batch of machines will also be fine."

Lal spoke angrily.

Hans didn't want to argue with Ralph, so he continued, "That President Xu said he found someone even more capable than us. Perhaps that person discovered a problem that none of us have noticed. I want to stay and see."

Ralph looked incredulous and gestured exaggeratedly, saying, "It must be those Chinese who did something. They only pulled this trick now that we're leaving. Those cunning Chinese..."

He was convinced that their machines were absolutely flawless, and even suspected that the previous machine malfunctions might have been caused by the Chinese. Moreover, his country, D, was among the world's leading producers of machinery, so how could anyone else have discovered a problem that even Ralph hadn't?

Hans said helplessly, "In that case, let's all stay and see what the truth is."

The grumpy old man, Ralph, thought silently for a long time before nodding.

Ralph and his group arrived at the textile factory again, but this time they did not receive the same star treatment as before, because they had been relieved of their technical guidance roles and now had to apply for permission.

Once they finally finished these troublesome procedures and entered the factory, all the workers deftly started the machines, and bolts of textiles were produced beneath them.

Ralf still insisted on his original point of view, but the observant Hans had already noticed some differences.

He tugged at Ralph's sleeve and whispered, "Things are different now..."

Ralph then began to observe carefully. This textile machine was made by his own hands, and no one knew it better than him. He could see its structure and all its parts even with his eyes closed.

He had noticed some minor changes to the machines, thanks to Hans's reminder, that the winding head tension was better and the quality of the textiles produced was more consistent.
