"Jiamin?"
Mrs. Fang walked tenderly to her sobbing daughter, gently patted her shoulder, and waited until her daughter's emotions had calmed down before asking, "Are you feeling better?"
Fang Jiamin nodded, then threw herself into her mother's arms, sobbing, "Those people, now they all look down on me, and the Zhang family too..."
Mrs. Fang patted her head and said, "Do you want to get out of your current predicament?"
Fang Jiamin nodded naturally. Of course she wanted to, she wanted to go back to the way things were before, when she didn't have to worry about what others thought of her.
She knew the Zhang family disliked her, but they still had to watch their step...
Just thinking about this makes me feel incredibly happy...
As for what she did in the past, what does the poor woman and child who died in the Zhang family have to do with her?
"Then do something for Mom..."
Madam Fang approached Fang Jiamin, who had been listening with a frown, but soon a strange and relieved smile appeared on her face. Killing two birds with one stone, wasn't that perfect?
The Zhang family thought it was impossible to get rid of them so easily; it was a pipe dream. She frantically tugged at Madam Fang's clothes and asked, "If we catch Fan Xiaofan, will Dad be able to come back?"
Mrs. Fang nodded affirmatively.
After Fan Xiaofan returned to the Fan family, the family members fussed over him, and although they knew nothing had happened, they were still very worried.
They repeatedly told Liu Fang and Gu Wenyan that they must not let her be willful. If something happened, the two of them would not be able to bear it. They would feel like they had lost their heartless son, but their granddaughter was their lifeblood.
Blood ties between people are sometimes a magical thing. Fan Ziyan has been in the Fan family for more than ten years. Fan's grandparents were tricked by their own son, but they didn't know he wasn't their biological grandson. Naturally, they treated him as their own grandson. But the feeling of tension that he would feel when he sneezed, the tension of blood ties, is sometimes hard to describe.
What happened back then, with its rights and wrongs, should not be blamed on the two innocent children. So, although Grandpa and Grandma Fan were disappointed in Fan Ziyan, the boy who used to be so fragile has now come to understand his responsibilities as a man after this setback.
I heard that he's suddenly become much more art-savvy at school, and that he's also made a promise with a girl at school: as long as she doesn't change her mind, he'll marry her after he finishes his studies. He's giving her the right to back out during that time.
When he came to visit the Fan family, Grandpa Fan was somewhat surprised to learn about it.
Some things can't be blamed on the child. This child has always been introverted at home since he was little, perhaps because his parents are unreliable and he has an extreme lack of security. So when the two elders saw that he had no talent in drawing and advised him to give up and focus his energy on other things, this child said no for the first time.
He just held onto the drawing board with such unwavering determination...
Tightly, firmly, leaving no room for consideration whatsoever.
But now he seems to have grown up all of a sudden. He seems to have suddenly realized that many things in this world are like sand. Just because you hold it tightly in your hand doesn't mean it's yours. The tighter you hold it, the faster it may slip away. But what truly belongs to you is like the colors left in your life. You will never have to worry about it fading away...
