Chapter 124 Almost Became a Prosperous Day

The deputy factory director knew Teacher Cheng and was always very polite to him, like a subordinate meeting a superior, keeping a very low profile.

When Teacher Cheng introduced Xing Baohua, he said that he was the factory manager of this factory.

Deputy Factory Director Zhang Weiguang exclaimed in surprise, "I didn't expect Director Xing to be so young! You're the youngest factory director I've ever met."

"No need to praise him. Back when we crossed the grasslands, there was a 21-year-old army commander." Teacher Cheng said.

Xing Baohua felt a cold sweat break out in his chest; he dared not compare himself to that person, especially in terms of lifespan.

Then the conversation turned to learning machines, and samples were shown to the other party.

After examining the samples, Zhang Weiguang exclaimed in amazement, "I never imagined that Director Xing was so capable! He can even develop something on his own."

"It wasn't done alone; it was developed by drawing on foreign product research and development experience," Xing Baohua said modestly.

“That’s still amazing! Even if you gave us the whole technology, we still couldn’t develop it!” Zhang Weiguang said.

Xing Baohua scoffed inwardly, "Who would believe that? Are the technicians behind you just sitting around doing nothing? If they can calculate costs, they can understand the whole set of drawings."

"Does Director Xing intend to hand over all production to our factory?" Zhang Weiguang asked.

"No, I'll leave the circuit boards and electronic components entirely to you. I'll solder the core parts myself. The casing and packaging will also be done here," Xing Baohua said.

"That's fine too. How much does Director Xing need per month?"

What is your production capacity?

"Fifteen thousand sets? Hmm, I could grit my teeth and manage twenty thousand?"

This time, Xing Baohua hesitated, not because the quantity was too small, but because they couldn't handle it! They only had two production lines, producing 20,000 units. They didn't have enough manpower, and they didn't have enough space!

Teacher Cheng, who had been silent the whole time, said, "Xiao Zhang, you can see this factory too. It's just starting out. It doesn't have that much production capacity yet. Give him a smaller order, 10,000 per month."

"How about 10,000, as Teacher Cheng suggests?"

Xing Baohua nodded. Three hundred sets a day is acceptable. We won't even count the three hundred boards produced by Lu Chuan; that's about the same on average.

Xing Baohua thought to himself, "No wonder it's a big factory! They've really opened up production capacity. It's impressive. Who told me my factory to be so small?"

Just then, a car horn sounded outside. Xing Baohua went out to take a look and saw a car that looked like a sedan chair, but he couldn't identify it.

A middle-aged man got out of the car. He was wearing a suit and a tie, but the suit looked a little awkward and didn't fit him very well.

Teacher Cheng followed behind. When the man saw Teacher Cheng, he went over with a smile to shake her hand and said, "It's been a long time since I've seen Teacher Cheng."

"It's been a long time. Look at you, you've gotten so fat that you can barely fit into your clothes anymore."

"There's no way around it, I bought this outfit abroad, I can't bear to throw it away, it's the only good piece of clothing I'm wearing out."

Teacher Cheng introduced to Xing Baohua: "This is Lu Ning, the factory director of Dongguai No. 6."

"Hello, Director Lu, I'm Xing Baohua from the electronics factory. You can just call me Xiao Xing," Xing Baohua said quickly, shaking hands with him.

"Your factory is going to produce cassette tapes? The location is alright, but..." Just then, the sound of a band practicing outside the wall was heard. He frowned slightly.

"You have a band here?" Director Lu asked.

"Yes! They were hired temporarily. They all play traditional musical instruments. This is their first time playing electronic instruments, and I thought it was too noisy, so I told them to go play outside," Xing Baohua explained.

"This stuff needs to be taught! How long will it take to learn it if you just figure it out by trial and error? That's how 'randomly playing the piano' came about."

"You're right, but I can't find anyone to teach me!" Xing Baohua said with a wry smile.

“I have connections. Haha, you can borrow them for a month, but let’s make it clear first, you can’t just poach anyone you see! I’ve invited them here to teach you.” Director Lu said with a smile.

Xing Baohua nodded repeatedly, agreeing. He was truly grateful to Director Lu!

If you want to sleep, I'll give you a pillow; if you want those four to become successful, I'll spend some money to train them.

Okay, train them, then we'll sign a ten-year contract later. Too short, then fifteen years it is.

First, we welcomed Director Lu into the room, which was quite crowded. Fortunately, Director Lu and Director Zhang knew each other and exchanged pleasantries.

After they finished speaking, Xing Baohua invited everyone to visit his factory and take a casual look around.

A group of people were touring the place, but all they could really see was the workshop. Xing Baohua told them to quickly find stools and other small items. They even went looking for small tables for drinking water, and if they couldn't find any, they borrowed them from the village.

The large number of visitors alarmed Secretary Huang, who rushed over.

Xing Baohua took a moment to tell him that they were just guests visiting the factory, so it was nothing. The only thing she could help with was finding some stools and small square tables. "Oh, and that little table we used to eat watermelon at your house last time was nice," she said, "let's move it over here."

Secretary Huang hired people to ride tricycles back to move tables, teapots, and so on.

Xing Baohua pointed to a piece of land and said to Factory Director Lu, "I plan to build a magnetic tape production workshop here."

“There’s enough space. Once you’ve built it, give me a call, and the equipment will arrive the next day. It won’t delay your production,” Factory Director Lu said.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome. We're cooperating with each other. I see you're planning to produce learning machines, right? Are you still producing external magnetic tape storage devices? If not, give the orders to our factory?" Factory Director Lu said.

Xing Baohua thought for a moment and said, "Okay, but it can only be used as a supplementary product. Customers need to make their own choices. I estimate the sales volume..." Xing Baohua hadn't finished speaking.

Director Lu chuckled and pointed at Teacher Cheng. Xing Baohua's eyes widened, and he thought to himself, "Holy crap!"

He forgot about the large order; adding accessories is just a matter of a word. In this business, Xing Baohua is truly in awe!

"Director Lu, actually, I was thinking of paying you for the equipment when the payment for the learning machines comes in. Can I use the order as collateral and postpone the payment?" Xing Baohua said, trying to ease his financial pressure by creating a time difference.
