What Su Ya said was different, and Xing Baohua understood that the teaching quality was very poor in the first few years after classes resumed in 1977.
Some things require a lot of personal effort, creating a situation where the master leads you in but the rest of the learning depends on the individual; it all comes down to one's own hard work and dedication.
"That's because you didn't study hard enough. Effort doesn't need to be reflected in academic performance. Knowing how to apply it is enough." Xing Baohua knew his weaknesses. If he were a good student, would he be able to attend night school?
"Okay, wait a moment, I'll go get it?" He turned and went out, bending down to take off his shoe covers at the door, which made Xing Baohua wipe his drool again.
Damn it, I'm so craving it! Should I try again? I guess it'll be okay if I'm a little shameless?
This guy was still thinking about how embarrassing it would be to be rejected, but as someone who's been through it, he knows some things are necessary. A hot-blooded young man like him is easily impulsive. These days, there aren't all those fancy rooms available; it's hard to manage personal life!
"What are you thinking about? Hey! What's wrong with you?" Xing Baohua, preoccupied with some good thoughts, didn't notice Su Ya walking up to him again.
"What's wrong?" the man asked in surprise.
"How can you be so sloppy! You're drooling and you don't even wipe it off. Did you stutter when you were little?" Su Ya said with a slightly disgusted expression.
"Ugh!" Su Ya wiped her mouth with her arm, a sight that made her purse her lips in disgust.
"How did you know?" Xing Baohua asked, not paying any attention to wiping her mouth.
“I heard from my grandma that eating pig’s tail can cure stuttering and drooling,” Suya said.
"Oh, I'll buy some pig tails to try later. Hey, give me the magazine, or you can read it to me and I'll type it up," Xing Baohua said.
“You can pronounce the simple words, but I can’t read many of these. You can type them yourself, I’ll just watch.” Su Ya said as she handed the magazine to Xing Baohua.
Xing Baohua placed the magazine in front of the computer monitor, and his hands essentially turned on typewriter mode.
I used to code a lot, and this typing speed is something I honed through hard work. Being single for so many years has given me a typing speed that most people can't match.
The localized version of the writing tablet comes with very few Chinese characters, which is to save space. The entire Chinese character set contains only a few hundred commonly used characters.
If a character can't be typed, I can only make a mark for now and fill it in with a pen later when it's printed out.
An article of less than three thousand words, plus translation, was finished by Xing Baohua in just over forty minutes. Su Ya, who had been standing beside him, opened her mouth slightly again.
"Aren't you going to proofread this translated document? What if there are any mistakes?" I asked hurriedly after seeing Xing Baohua press the print button and hearing the printer start clicking.
"Trust me, with just a few words used repeatedly, it's hard to find any typos. If you're really worried, take it and look it up in a dictionary yourself." After printing it out, Xing Baohua handed the document to Su Ya and said.
Seeing that Su Ya had taken it, Xing Baohua said, "I have to get back to my work. It might take a while. You go ahead and do your thing. If it's convenient, could you get me a glass of water?"
Su Ya stared at him for a while, feeling that this guy really didn't treat her like an outsider, even pouring her water?
Xing Baohua didn't pay attention to these things; once she was focused on her work, there weren't so many messy things going on at the center.
He took out the writer/reader he had made the night before from his sling bag, carefully placed it on the table, went around to the back of the computer, and began to connect the thin wires he had brought one by one to the motherboard's data ports.
With a 24-pin connector, it can only be connected with a thin wire when there is no other connector.
After working for a while, I finally sat down and saw Su Ya bring over a porcelain jar. She placed the jar on the corner of the table and said, "There are no shared jars. This is mine. I just rinsed it with water."
"It's okay, I don't mind."
"I don't like it." After saying this, Su Ya quickly lowered her head. She intended for Xing Baohua to use her and then throw her away.
"Then, I'll go to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy you a new one after get off work," Xing Baohua said after understanding what he meant.
Actually, if he hadn't drooled and hadn't wiped it with the back of his hand, Su Ya really wouldn't have said anything.
Seeing that Su Ya didn't say anything, Xing Baohua took it as Su Ya's tacit agreement to buy her a new jar.
The two didn't say much; one watched, the other busied himself with wiring. Only after the power was on and the LEDs on the small circuit board lit up did Xing Baohua breathe a sigh of relief.
Once everything was ready, he turned to Su Ya, who was watching him operate, and asked, "Do you have any blank floppy disks? We'll use two first."
“Yes, it’s in the second drawer of the table,” Suya said.
Xing Baohua took out a blank disk and inserted it into the computer. Su Ya then asked, "Why do I feel like you're not here to check the computer?"
Xing Baohua smiled slightly and said, "That does seem like what I'm doing."
"It feels like you're doing your own side job. Anyway, I didn't understand it either," Su Ya replied.
"You're pretty smart, you even noticed that. The computer is really fine, I was just fiddling with some things. You're not going to stop me from using it, are you?" Xing Baohua said, feigning surprise.
Similarly, Su Ya smiled slightly, a very charming smile. The two looked at each other, and Su Ya's soft voice rang out again: "I was thinking, if I don't let you use it, will you break the computer? And then fix it while you're busy with your own things?"
"You're really smart!" Xing Baohua said with a smile after snapping her fingers.
The two smiled at each other again.
The man is handsome and full of youthful vigor. The woman is beautiful, pure and gentle. It's late spring, early summer, and if this were paired with Teacher Zhao's World Animals...
