If one of the pixels is faulty, then the backlight tube behind the display will let light through.
When you look at the screen, you will see a very glaring white dot; that is a dead pixel on the display.
An A+ screen means that the screen has a maximum of three dead pixels. A screen with more than three dead pixels is classified as an A screen.
It's fine for watching videos normally, but sometimes it can be a bit glaring.
Manufacturers can't refuse to ship products just because of two or three dead pixels! If they really refuse to ship screens with these defects, then the price of a perfect LCD screen would be prohibitively high.
Therefore, the manufacturer doesn't tell the sales team that whoever encounters this is unlucky and has no right to seek redress.
The terms and conditions were already set out. According to the standards, any A+ screen with no more than three dead pixels would not be eligible for return or exchange.
Back then, there was such a ridiculous rule, and the Consumer Association actually agreed to it.
Back then, buying an LCD screen was basically a matter of luck.
There will always be one or two things that irritate your eyes, and even someone without OCD can be brought to their senses.
Changhong's yield rate is decent, consistently above 70%, with only occasional A+ screens appearing. Since it's primarily for text processing, one or two bright spots are acceptable.
However, the color does make the eye-catching effect very obvious.
To improve the yield rate, Xing Baohua could only turn to the experts at the lithography factory for help in adjusting the laser cutter more precisely on Changhong's production line.
I'd also like to offer some suggestions for improving and reforming LCD screen technology. Anyway, we have a bunch of experts in light technology; we have to make use of them.
Because it's close to the end of the year, Changhong's production lines need to be brought in after the New Year. However, the factory can't stop production just because of the New Year; they all need to meet deadlines.
Therefore, Xing Baohua instructed the construction team to continue working during the Spring Festival, and to hire migrant workers from the surrounding area. After all, there weren't many crops to tend in the fields during winter, so it was better to do some work than to stay idle at home.
Of course, the wages for the New Year will be three to five yuan more. After finishing the work during the day, I can go home at night.
After discussions with the construction team and workers, it was agreed that they would work as usual except for one day off on the first day of the Lunar New Year.
Winters in central Shandong are not too cold, and since the factory requires a steel structure, cement and other materials will not be used for the time being.
Once the cement mortar freezes, the bricks laid on it will be very weak. As soon as it warms up slightly, the solidified mortar will become as brittle as tofu dregs.
Do what you can do first, and then do the brick and mud work and concrete flooring when the weather gets warmer.
Xing Baohua was busy until the 28th day of the Lunar New Year when Su Ya called him out of his work.
With the Lunar New Year approaching, both families need to buy some New Year's goods.
Xing Bohua then put down his work and arranged the holiday schedule for the laboratory, setting the date for work to be the sixth day of the Lunar New Year.
Actually, there's no need to buy New Year's goods. Many factories provide welfare benefits and prepare their own portions for those who can't learn, and they're the most and the best.
The two of them only bought some vegetables and such. Their house is already overflowing with stuff. What a worry! Where to put it all?
Of course, Xing Baohua didn't skimp on the things he brought to Su Ya's house, but the gifts kept coming in.
What was most infuriating was that on the first day of the Lunar New Year, Xing Baohua wanted to go out to pay New Year's visits but couldn't. People kept coming to his house, and Su Ya came to keep him company around seven o'clock.
The room was small, and people were crammed together. Most of them were managers of several factories, and even some people from the city government.
Supervisors from several factories came, along with neighbors from the surrounding area—about a hundred people in total! It was as lively as a temple fair.
The area in front of the building was packed with cars. Anyone who didn't know better would have thought something terrible had happened. Some people even came to see what was going on.
This made Xing Baohua feel that he had to build a big house this year, one that could hold more than a hundred people.
After all, they were all there for him, and he couldn't very well kick them out. Fortunately, someone spoke up for him, telling them to leave quickly after their New Year's greetings to make room for the newcomers.
It wasn't until after 10 a.m. that Xing Baohua's small town finally saw some people. Unexpectedly, Lu Guangwei, who had replaced Old Li as the factory director of the municipal machinery factory, arrived with Hou Liwei to wish Xing Baohua a Happy New Year.
Xing Baohua was baffled. On this day, everyone who came was a guest, so he had to greet them with a smile.
Regardless of the intention behind New Year's greetings, one should not show any disgust on their face, as Chinese people value auspiciousness. They fear that if they are in a bad mood on this day, something unlucky might happen in the following year.
With fewer guests, Factory Director Lu and Xing Baohua exchanged a few auspicious words, and then expressed their hope that Xing Baohua would continue to support the factory and cooperate with the machinery plant.
Are they here to solicit orders?
Xing Baohua could only say, "It's easy to say, it's easy to say."
He didn't take Director Lu's words to heart.
When Su Ya helped carry the fruit and melon seeds, Hou Liwei didn't even glance at her. He pretended to be very proper.
After the two left, Xing's father shook his head and said to Xing Baohua, "The machinery factory is getting worse and worse. They've been behind on wages for several months, and they only paid half a month's basic salary just to get through the New Year. Sigh!"
"What can we do? They forced Director Li out of office. When he was in office, the workers wouldn't go hungry. Besides, the new staff housing he worked so hard to build would have been completed and ready for occupancy long ago. Unlike now, where people can't even move in."
Xing Baohua echoed his father's words, saying that although they were just chatting about the municipal machinery factory, he was actually unhappy that the new leadership had ruined the factory, which was still salvageable.
"I hope this doesn't happen at your factory," Xing's father instructed Xing Baohua.
"Don't worry! It's my own factory, and I'm in charge. I don't need to ask anyone for permission or anything. If things really don't work out, I'll just sell it. I can't let the people who work for me go hungry," Xing Baohua said.
Mr. Xing nodded.
He continued, "I heard from Old Li at the factory that a Hong Kong businessman came to inspect the machinery factory before the Lunar New Year."
Xing Baohua asked, "A joint venture? It seems the higher-ups still value the machinery factory. If there were funds..."
