Xing Baohua stormed into the workshop duty room and kicked the door open with his toe.
What Xing Baohua couldn't understand was that the weather was very hot, there was no air conditioning in the house, and there was only a fan. Weren't these two people afraid of getting heatstroke?
The door was kicked open with a bang, and Xing Baohua walked in. Both men looked at him. These two probably expected Xing Baohua to come looking for them in anger, but they didn't expect him to be this furious. Kicking the door was a bit extreme.
Hou Liwei, having suffered at Xing Baohua's hands before, immediately changed his expression slightly. He was genuinely afraid that Xing Baohua might do something to embarrass him. Hong Mingliang, meanwhile, narrowed his eyes as he watched Xing Baohua, his mind racing.
The only thing he wasn't afraid of was Xing Baohua taking action. Xing Baohua didn't approach him but walked directly to Hou Liwei and loudly said, "Get out."
"What?" Xing Baohua's angry shout shocked Hou Liwei. Before he could react, Hou Liwei was even more confused as to why he was being told to leave. Wasn't he supposed to be here to cause trouble? Why was he being told to leave so easily? What did that mean?
"Get out. I'll only say it once. Are you going to get out yourself, or am I going to throw you out?" Xing Baohua said firmly. His face was so stern that you could see the fleshy muscles in it.
Hou Liwei considered it for a moment and decided that he should go out first. If he were thrown out, with so many people watching outside the workshop, he would lose all face.
After Hou Liwei left, Xing Baohua saw the cigarettes on Hou Liwei's desk, took one out and lit it, then slowly walked to Hong Mingliang's desk and sat down on it.
He looked down at Hong Mingliang.
"Yes, is there something you need, Director?" Hong Mingliang felt a little uneasy under Xing Baohua's gaze. He considered himself a refined man, but he was still somewhat intimidated by the burly Xing Baohua, especially after hearing about Xing Baohua's previous reputation as a hooligan.
"I just want to reason with you," Xing Baohua said calmly, taking a drag of his cigarette and rudely blowing the smoke in the other person's face.
Hong Mingliang cursed inwardly. How could someone talk like this? Did they think someone had seen what they did after work yesterday and exposed them? He calmed down a bit and decided to stay composed first.
He coughed a few times, choked by the smoke, and waved his hand to disperse it.
“Get to the point. This isn’t right,” Hong Mingliang said to Xing Baohua, maintaining a polite demeanor and tone.
"That's just how I am. If someone treats me well, I'll treat them even better. I won't pursue today's matter; let it go. But I'm the workshop director. I don't have the right to fire you, but I do have the right to prevent you from getting promoted. If we make a huge fuss, do you think the factory will transfer someone who can make money for them, or someone who's just all talk?"
Perhaps due to the height difference, Hong Mingliang, with his head tilted back, couldn't help but look at Xing Baohua with hostility. Meanwhile, Xing Baohua's words made him weigh the pros and cons in his mind.
Then Xing Baohua said, "That Wang Qiang from the material requisition room, I don't care what your reasons are, throw him out of Workshop 5. I don't want to see him. If I see him still working in Workshop 5 tomorrow, humph! There's no possibility of reconciliation between us."
“Procedurally…” Hong Mingliang’s tone softened considerably, but he was interrupted by Xing Baohua before he could argue further.
"Don't give me that nonsense, and don't talk to me about the impact. You can't even transfer someone, that's all you're capable of. And let me tell you something else: the factory director personally oversees the fifth workshop. Delaying production means delaying his profits. We all have our own division of labor, you need to understand that. I can pass the buck anytime."
Hong Mingliang realized that Xing Baohua wasn't bluffing him, so he nodded in agreement.
"There's something else you might not know. Production is going smoothly, and I'll be leaving around that time. The director's position will be vacant. Who do you think would be suitable for it? Don't forget, I have the right to recommend. I'll submit a report, and no matter who the leaders appoint, they'll consider my opinion first, right?" Xing Baohua finished with his hard line and then offered a soft reward. At least let Hong Mingliang taste the benefits first. And Xing Baohua didn't actually use hard power; he just reasoned with him. And he used solid reasoning. He didn't believe Hong Mingliang wouldn't understand what he was saying.
After resolving Hong Mingliang's matter, Xing Baohua walked out of the office and saw Hou Liwei standing at the workshop door. Without even acknowledging him, she went straight to Liu Quan to give him instructions.
They found Liu Quan and asked, "How many defective boards have you found?"
"We haven't found it yet," Liu Quan replied.
"I'm going to give you a task. Do you still remember how to make the small instrument to test if the circuit board is powered on? If you do, find two helpers and make this first."
Liu Quan nodded and replied, "Okay, this way the search will be faster, but the simple packaging isn't very durable."
"Durability aside, finding the faulty boards is the priority. Sending two people from each shift to inspect them is pointless; relying on the quality control team is a waste of time," Xing Baohua said dismissively.
The multimeters in Workshop 5 were all in Hou Liwei's quality control group. Xing Baohua was too lazy to go and get them. It would be better to just make a simple electrical testing instrument, like a test pen. Use a two-stage LED light connected to two metal rods.
This thing isn't very useful; it's just for finding faulty boards. The indicator light on a board with power will light up, while the indicator light on a board without power won't light up. You can just pick out the boards that don't light up.
Xing Baohua avoided any official contact with Hou Liwei and went directly to the quality inspection team leader. He told him the seriousness of the situation and that each product coming off the production line needed to be inspected, and that any products with quality problems needed to be identified.
This made the quality inspection team leader very frustrated. While you guys are fighting like gods, it's still the lowly soldiers who suffer.
A single word from your boss can leave you either exhausted or completely worn out. And you can't say anything to their face; you can only curse them in your heart.
Xing Baohua didn't leave after get off work. She waited until the night shift handover was completed and the work was running smoothly before returning to her single dormitory.
