Chapter 620 Getting the Nikon Done

The internal turmoil at Nikon was reported in detail.

The whole thing started simply; it was a story of a power struggle.

Because of the power struggle, all of Nikon's senior executives were replaced. Xing Baohua promoted a man named Noi Sansho without the approval of the board of directors, replacing Minami Kazuo, who was under investigation.

Kazuo Minamida was at least a member of the board of directors, while Misaki Noi was just a nobody who didn't own any shares. Nikon has plenty of people like that.

Everyone realized that he was Xing Baohua's puppet.

A complete puppet, according to Xing Baohua's wishes, to carry out a major overhaul within Nikon.

The board of directors is discussing how to remove Xing Baohua from his position as chairman.

The employees who withdrew their investment and were laid off were organized to sit in protest at the entrance of Nikon, chanting slogans.

Television stations and reporters arrived, and there were also onlookers nearby.

Originally, there were thirty-four people staging a sit-in protest, but somehow it grew to more than a hundred.

There was even a support vehicle providing assistance, along with banners and white headscarves. They were all tied to their foreheads; I don't know where this custom came from.

If Chinese people saw this, they would definitely say: Whose funeral is this? With so many filial sons and grandsons, it must be a large family.

The Japanese have rules for protests and sit-ins; you can protest, but you can't cause trouble.

This was an organized and targeted protest.

Several TV presenters stood in front of them, chattering away, their words unintelligible.

The entire Nikon headquarters was a mess, no one was cleaning up, and no one was in the mood to work. Only about thirty people from Noi's team were able to stay at their posts.

"Vice Chairman Noi, when is our chairman coming?" someone asked Noi Misaki.

"The chairman is busy with our welfare matters. With such a big incident at headquarters, he will come as soon as he's done. Everyone, we must help the chairman protect headquarters," Noi Misaki said to reassure his colleagues.

Nikon's shareholders approached Xing Baohua to request an emergency shareholders' meeting, which Xing Baohua was required to attend, as he was a major shareholder and the chairman of the board.

If he doesn't go, then the executive director will have to exercise the powers and responsibilities of the executive director, and the decisions made at the shareholders' meeting will certainly be something Xing Baohua doesn't want to see.

Therefore, Xing Baohua must attend this emergency meeting.

When Xing Baohua arrived at the gate of Nikon's headquarters, he saw many people protesting. After glancing at them, he prepared to walk through the gate.

When the media saw Xing Baohua arrive, they all rushed towards him, and none of the security personnel maintaining order in the surrounding area stepped forward to stop them.

As the media approached Xing Baohua, his bodyguards held his hand and stopped them.

"Chairman Xing, was Nikon's decision to replace its senior executives made by you?"

"Mr. Xing, Nikon's stock price has plummeted. What's your opinion?"

"President Xing, are you trying to drag Nikon down with you?"

...

Upon hearing these questions, Xing Baohua stopped and turned around. He walked behind the guards and saw many long microphones being handed to him.

Thinking of those people who had microphones shoved into their mouths, Xing Baohua took a step back.

He said, "I acquired Nikon because I valued its technology and management. I invested a huge sum of money to build Nikon into a technology empire. But since I acquired Nikon, I have formulated many technological development plans, but not a single project has made any progress."

After saying that, looking at the numerous media outlets, he continued firmly, "I poured a lot of money into Nikon, but they gave me a blank application. The change in senior management is to unite Nikon and make it stronger."

After Xing Baohua finished speaking, he turned and left, but the media behind him wanted him to say a few more words.

Upon arriving at the office area, everyone who saw Noi Sanchi and his group would bow to Xing Baohua and respectfully address him as Chairman.

With their key figure arriving, Noi Misaki also rushed over and bowed.

Xing Baohua looked around the office area and said, "Yo-jing, you've only just taken office and you've already made such a mess of the office. It's very impolite for a guest to come over. Where are the other staff? Tell them to come to work in half an hour. If they're not coming, then they don't need to come at all."

He went back to his office to get some things, then came out and said to Noi, "I'm going to talk to those shareholders. The way you are now makes me doubt your ability to work. To keep the company under control, you need to be ruthless. Replace anyone who doesn't listen. Don't forget, I'm the one who pays your salaries."

After saying that, Xing Baohua left and went to the boardroom on the top floor.

Upon entering, he saw a huge conference table with dozens of people waiting for him. Xing Baohua brought in two people: Xie Yingying and Kawaguchi Kanae.

Everyone's eyes followed Xing Baohua as he walked to the main seat.

This guy looked at the people in front of him with great arrogance. One of the vice chairman, Nakano Genichi, who didn't really care about anything, exchanged a glance with Xing Baohua and just watched him sit down.

After Xing Baohua sat down, Managing Director Genmoto Takeo stood up, put his hands on the table, and turned to look at Xing Baohua: "Mr. Xing Baohua, you have seriously violated several regulations of the Nikon Board of Directors. I now propose to remove you from your position as chairman, and your position will be taken over by Vice Chairman Nakano Genichi."

Xing Baohua didn't say anything, but glanced at him twice with a slight smile on her lips.

"Now, let's hold a vote by show of hands to remove Xing Baohua from his position as president of Nikon." Genmoto Takeo finished speaking in a very domineering manner, then sat down and raised his hand.

In an instant, dozens of people raised their hands in unison.

Only two or three people didn't raise their hands. After everyone looked at who they were, they stopped talking and just looked at those who didn't raise their hands with unfriendly eyes.
