Chapter 692 Confusing the Public

After receiving the notification, the Firebird headquarters quickly explained the situation to their superiors.

The mastermind behind it all used his position to communicate with the Shanghai Foreign Army, and the speed of this was quite remarkable.

It is clear that the efficiency is very high.

Two Mirage fighters took off from the overseas corps to provide support, while two F-4 fighters also took off from an overseas base in the United States to provide support.

After the second round of coverage attack was completed, a special operations team stood up not far from the village and charged into the village, which was engulfed in flames, with a shout of "Hurrah!"

The cry of "Hurrah!" seemed to spread like wildfire, and one by one, more than seventy people appeared, rushing forward at breakneck speed.

Where are the tactical formations anymore? They're all the charging formations from World War II.

These are all elderly people who fought in the Afghan War; the marks of war seem as fresh as if they happened yesterday.

The vivid memories left a deep impression on them, and they couldn't be soft-hearted; if they were, they would be the ones who ended up lying down.

Not a blade of grass grows; not a single survivor can be found.

Even if they see someone lying motionless, panting heavily, they must give them a pep talk until they are completely out of breath before they can look for the next target.

The cleanup operation takes time, but this time we have plenty of time, so wasting three or four hours is no big deal.

An hour later, Sam reported that two unidentified flying objects were flying in their direction.

Polev glanced at the time and muttered, "That's quick thinking."

"Once they're within range, fire!" Polev said, grinning.

The laughter stemmed from the fact that, aside from a few with minor injuries, everyone else was alive. Moreover, this operation didn't require risking capture; the goal was simply to eliminate everyone here. The only resistance came from a few basements.

It's only a matter of time before we solve their problems.

The SAM in Polev's hands was a 1950s model with a very short range of only 20 kilometers. It could only be launched after the target had reached this airspace.

Hit rate?

I never expected this old guy to be able to shoot down the enemy's fighter jet. If he can scare them away, that's good enough.

It will take at least one or two days for the overseas troops, who are 200 kilometers away, to arrive. By then, they will have destroyed their equipment and fled.

As the Mirage 3 approached the village, it saw plumes of smoke rising into the sky from afar, so it lowered its altitude and sped over.

They were unaware that they had already been scanned by the ground radar, and were just waiting for them to get closer so that the fire control radar could lock on.

In just a few minutes, the Mirage 3 descended to about 3,000 meters and reached the airspace above the village. We even saw two circling female Mirages and decided to shoot them down.

But just as they were about to turn around and retaliate, the alarm in the cockpit started blaring.

You didn't see it. When the pilot heard the alarm, he looked terrified. He quickly pulled up the fuselage and communicated with his wingman to find out where the missile was behind him.

Push the throttle to the floor, and the aircraft soars straight into the depths of the sky.

"Darth, there are two behind you, damn it, three, and one of them is aimed at me."

"What the hell is this thing?"

"Samsung 3"

The wingman reported the distress to his superiors, saying that they were being pursued by a SAM-3.

These two Mirage fighters were lucky to shake off the SAM-3's pursuit. It wasn't because their skills were superior or their aircraft performance was better, but because the SAM-3 they were facing was a short-range missile with a range of 20 kilometers, which was gone in the blink of an eye in the sky.

If the SAM-3 had been any further away, the two Mirage pilots would have been forced to eject.

The Phantom 3 only reaches Mach 1. The Sam 3 reaches Mach 2; if it weren't for its short legs, it would have caught up much earlier.

The two Mirage fighters slunk back to base. It was really terrifying. Who would have thought that an air defense position would be set up in such a godforsaken place?

Moreover, it happened in their overseas colonies, right under their noses. Who could stand such an insult?

This is a provocation, and it's war. Whoever you are, we'll fight first and talk later.

Several satellites are changing their orbits, trying to capture images of what's happening in that village or town.

The two Phantoms, unaware that the Mirage had failed, simply swaggered towards their destination.

When faced with some weak countries, their warplanes can come and go as they please, and no one can stop them or keep them there.

Polev thought the SAM-3 would be destroyed during the withdrawal, but it turned out to be useful, as the air defense position detected two more targets.

"Set up a trap and find a way to take it down," Polev ordered the position.

They then discussed needing a female deer to act as bait, meaning they would use the female deer as a feint to force the two approaching planes to lower their altitude and speed.

This makes it easy for the Sam3 to perform at its best.

The piloting of the female Hinds was extremely dangerous; there was no way to catch a wolf without risking your cub. So Polev gave orders to the pilots of the two female Hinds.

Use their aircraft to make a few feints.

Perhaps while we're making a feint, the enemy's fighter jets will launch missiles. Helicopter evacuation? They don't even have that concept. Once the enemy launches missiles, we can only watch the Mi-21 turn into a fireball.

In any case, trading a Hind for two fighter jets is a very worthwhile deal.

As Polev listened to the ground radar report on the location of the approaching fighter jet, he raised his binoculars and looked up at the sky.

"Goblin F4"

A strange excitement ignited deep within me.

If we can bring those two things down, then this trip will have been worthwhile.

An inexplicable excitement.

Unfortunately, Polev did not get his wish. Just as the monster arrived, it made a sharp turn and turned back.

They didn't even get into Sam 3's range before slinking away in disgrace.

Unbeknownst to Kopolev, four multi-purpose Tomcats were taking off from the deck of a squadron in the Mediterranean.
