The rice system is called Mount Everest. Almost all rice users use the Mount Everest system.
Only now does Lei Jun understand the true core of the rice system.
But from what I understand, the Rice System seems too simplistic. Also, its open-source nature means it's open to programmers, allowing them to modify it freely.
This is similar to Unix.
Lei Jun glanced at the time and realized it was time to leave work. He was the only one who realized it was time to go home, but seeing that his colleagues hadn't left, he was too embarrassed to ask. "Hey! It's time to leave work, why aren't you all eager to go home?"
Are programmers busy typing away on their keyboards, like monsters, without eating or drinking?
Lei Jun, an honest and simple man, went back to work diligently, but after a while, his eyes became dry and strained.
After Xiao Tian came over, he saw Lei Jun still busy working and blinking. He went up to him and said, "So dedicated to your work!"
"Wait, don't we have a designated time to leave work? People can't complain about working overtime!"
"No one forces you to work overtime here! It's all voluntary. You have a lot of freedom here."
"Freedom? I see they're all busy!"
"..."
Xiao Tian didn't know how to tell Lei Jun about the programmer's daily routine.
Of course, I understand that this kid has just graduated from university and hasn't had any work experience yet, especially the life of a programmer.
After informing the programmers of the schedule, Lei Jun was given a choice: he could leave now, as there was a canteen downstairs if he got hungry, or a bed in the next room if he got sleepy.
You can even go home, as long as it doesn't interfere with your work.
It's that free, and you can adjust your schedule according to your own get off work hours.
"Let's go, I'll walk you home from get off work. It's your first time being a programmer, so I won't be too demanding," Xiao Tian said.
Lei Jun silently packed his things and followed Xiao Tian out of the experimental building.
After going downstairs, Xiao Tianna's driver and bodyguards were waiting for him. They asked Lei Jun, "Where do you live?"
I live in a dormitory.
"Oh, it's not on my way, so I won't take you. Get some rest tonight, and you can come anytime tomorrow." Xiao Tian said, then got into the car and left.
At the headquarters of Dami Technology Building, the top-floor monitoring team suddenly discovered two radio waves exhibiting curved current trajectories.
One of the staff members on duty said, "There's activity in the 900-1800 frequency band. Look for patterns in the curve."
The straight lines on the display screen appeared bent, indicating that the signal amplitude was fluctuating.
“There’s a signal being monitored,” one of the inspectors said, staring at the screen.
"Can you find the source of the signal?"
"It should be possible! It will take time."
"Report this problem."
"The receiving wave is outside, two kilometers away," the inspector shouted.
The team on night shift and two members of the guard team got into the car, took the signal equipment, and headed towards the signal source.
It took more than two hours to finally find it, but it was quite difficult. I don't know who installed the signal receiver on the telecommunications signal equipment of a certain building.
They used communication signals to conceal their presence and also mixed in signals. They utilized the power supply and amplifiers of the communication equipment.
Fortunately, the frequency bands are different, otherwise it would have been really hard to find.
Upon disassembling and inspecting the equipment, it was discovered that this little gadget's signal receiver was quite advanced, containing a base station chip module.
In other words, it can send signals to mobile phones on the same frequency band, and it can not only send but also receive signals.
So, a single received signal can be either text or audio.
The disassembled equipment was brought back to the Rice Lab, where the hardware team sent someone to disassemble it immediately and found that the chip was labeled "Made in Japan".
It was made by the Japanese; we found the equipment and started cracking it.
First, there's the corresponding driver, and the system within it.
This will be handled by the software team.
Xiao Tian had just fallen asleep when he was called back. He was actually holding back his anger.
Well, since the Japanese were causing trouble, we can't really say they were causing trouble; we can only say that their equipment was discovered.
As for who's causing trouble, it's still uncertain. Looking at some programs on the computer, I made a phone call and asked two programmers from the software team who weren't asleep to come over.
"Get me the cache inside." After giving the order, he called Lei Jun again: "Come to the third floor of the lab."
Lei Jun had just rested and got up looking completely bewildered, as if he had been forcibly turned on.
He lives in a talent dormitory building, which looks luxurious from the outside and has good facilities inside.
It's not far from the company, just a ten-minute walk away.
Arriving on the third floor of the lab, still yawning, he asked Xiao Tian, "What's wrong?"
"Watch from the sidelines."
Honest Lei Jun squinted, watching in a daze as a programmer fiddled with a computer.
He was still not fully awake, his face blank. He didn't know what had happened, nor what the programmer was doing, and no one explained it to him.
"Cache is broken. Do you want to retrieve it?"
"extract."
"Only 8K audio was retained. The rest was lost."
"Play it!" Xiao Tian wanted to hear it.
The programmer brought up the media player, found a speaker, and plugged it into the computer.
Xiao Tian was somewhat disappointed that only a dozen seconds had passed on the player.
From the speaker, there was the sound of a door closing, followed by a blank silence, then a whistling sound, and the sound of running water.
After that, there was no sound.
Xiao Tian was quite disappointed; he had worked hard for most of the night but hadn't produced anything useful.
Upon hearing the whistle, Lei Jun's dazed expression suddenly brightened.
I was somewhat shocked and a little confused!
What happened?
I was thinking to myself, that whistle sounds so familiar.
