Chapter 85 Shareholders Gathered

"You two are just making fun of being poor!" Director Wang said angrily.

"I'll finish things here today, and we'll leave tomorrow afternoon," Xing Baohua said to Director Wang.

"Okay," Director Wang nodded in response.

"Teacher Li, how's it going on your end?"

"Don't rush at the beginning. Think about the details carefully." Grandpa Li's expression suggested that he had everything under control.

Xing Baohua turned to Lin Daorong and asked, "Teacher Lin, when will the renovation be finished?"

"It will take about a week. Some materials haven't arrived yet. Manager Liu said he'll have someone deliver them in the next couple of days," Lin Daorong replied.

"Can we work overtime tonight?" Xing Baohua's question surprised Lin Daorong and the others. There's no rush here; why would they need to work overtime in a recording studio?

Seeing Lin Daorong's confusion, Xing Baohua smiled apologetically and quickly said, "Sorry, I might not have explained it clearly. Other factories produce audio equipment, and it needs to be tuned. If it's convenient for you, you can go over and work overtime tonight. I can pay you for a whole day's work."

Lin Daorong wasn't blinded by the promise of money. He didn't agree immediately, but calmly asked, "What exactly will we be doing? Could you explain in detail?"

"You'll be in charge of sound effects and tuning. They also need to set up a professional mixing room over there. You can go over there and give them some guidance. Manager Liu and I will be going to the factory later, and you can come along too," Xing Baohua said.

Lin Daorong didn't speak, but simply nodded slightly, which was taken as agreement.

We gathered at the entrance of Liu Haibo's small apartment around 9 o'clock. Liu Haibo somehow managed to get a 212 jeep.

And so the group headed towards the Shangguzhuang Electronics Factory. A car drove ahead, Xing Baohua rode a small rickshaw through the dust in the middle, and Lin Daorong followed at the back on his bicycle.

With the four venture capital shareholders now assembled for the electronics factory, Xing Baohua wondered whether he should also invite Secretary Huang to attend the first shareholders' meeting.

Well, there's not much to say. Getting everyone together will just mean sitting around drinking and bragging.

The factory is in its initial stage and is not operating at full capacity. The spacious factory building houses brand-new production lines.

Yang Jing went over and looked at it, then asked Xing Baohua, "Where did the production line come from? If you need to add more production lines, you can contact me."

"This line is from the 1950s. It was upgraded by the municipal machinery factory and repainted. It looks a little new, but it's actually quite old," Xing Baohua explained.

Yang Jing nodded, and then heard Xing Baohua say, "Sister Jing, can you help import precision instruments?"

"Sure, but it would require foreign exchange, and our factory definitely won't approve the quota." Yang Jing switched identities quickly, immediately using the factory's name, which was quite interesting.

"See those speakers over there? They're the ones you're looking to export, ten units, $100,000. Can that money be used to buy some imported equipment?" Xing Baohua pointed at Yang Jing and said.

Actually, this guy wasn't telling the truth. The real transaction price was $30,000 per unit. The remaining $200,000 was put into the company account opened by Da Meizi Guo and George.

Is it safe to keep money in that company? Of course not. Xing Baohua is only temporarily storing it there because he has no other choice. If he had more money, he would definitely find time to go there, set up a shell company himself, and even open an offshore account. This would not only help him avoid taxes but also protect his assets.

Hiring someone to manage your account assets costs a lot of money, including hiring a lawyer, which is especially expensive. And lawyers in the US are notoriously unscrupulous.

But if you don't have a lawyer in America, it's really hard to get things done.

Those lawyers will do anything for you if you're willing to pay, yes, anything.

Xing Baohua told them to look around as they pleased while he went to make some arrangements.

He led Lin Daorong to the sound system and said, "Teacher Lin, I've tuned these three speakers. You can listen to them and try them out. The rest are up to you."

Lin Daorong was somewhat surprised when he arrived at the electronics factory. He saw that the sign at the gate started with "village-run," and of course, he overlooked Shangguzhuang Primary School.

Furthermore, I didn't know much about Xing Baohua's background before, but now I know he's the factory manager and works under a contracting model with his boss. It's very likely a cross-partnership operation. I don't understand these details, but as long as he pays my salary, that's fine.

In other words, whether in the publishing house or the electronics factory, they were all considered employees under Xing Baohua.

Lin Daorong nodded and asked, "The environment isn't very good."

“The office over there is under construction, and I’m planning to set up a room there as a mixing room. Adjusting the sound quality here really tests your ear and experience. How about this, once the recording studio over there is finished, have someone install a sound system and transport it over there for testing and adjustments? We can then adjust it from the factory later. What do you think? It will save you the trouble of running back and forth.”

“Sure, I don’t mind running back and forth. You have to buy me a set of equipment,” Lin Daorong said.

What equipment?

"A sound level device." Upon hearing Lin Daorong's words, Xing Baohua knew what it was.

A specialized sound-measuring device is indeed needed; this is used to measure sound and noise.

It is very helpful for noise reduction.

Xing Baohua asked, "Do you know where I can buy it?"

"Know."

"Then let's make the purchase. The accountant is Bian Xiujuan, she's in that office over there. Just ask her for the payment," Xing Baohua instructed. Just then, Secretary Huang arrived.

Well, all the shareholders have finally come together!

He walked over to Secretary Huang and asked, "Uncle Huang, what brings you here? Is something the matter?"

“I heard from them that quite a few people came to your place. I thought the people who investigated you last time had brought people to inspect the factory. I was worried, so I came to check on them,” Secretary Huang said.
