Chapter 536 Fierce Battle

Perhaps they used their most powerful equipment to block reinforcements, giving the transport team a chance to catch their breath and wait for reinforcements.

Those few bullets were enough to wipe out the escort team.

No, it's that the other party doesn't dare to use it because the most valuable hard drive is inside, and they're afraid of it being blown up.

After figuring this out, Xing Baohua smiled slightly; the item was still there.

If they manage to get rid of it, that would be a real problem; they'd be hard to find. The fact that they were able to bring all their equipment in means that retreating would be easy for them too.

After thinking for a moment, I picked up the phone and called Camel Chen.

Camel Chen answered the phone, recognized Xing Baohua's voice, and asked with a smile, "What does Brother Xing want with him?"

"Try to leverage your connections to see if there's a mercenary group that can infiltrate Hong Kong."

“Brother! We’re in the underworld, it’s a completely different business from that.”

Xing Baohua lowered the window slightly and placed her phone in the crack so that Camel Chen could hear the snapping and thumping sounds outside.

“My men are fighting those mercenaries. Money is no object. Find out where they retreated. Also, ask the fishermen at sea if they have any clues,” Xing Baohua said.

"Brother! We're armed with watermelon knives. You're looking in the wrong direction for this kind of intelligence."

"Stop arguing. Give the person who provides the information a five million bonus, and you'll get five million separately. Get all your brothers involved to inquire." Xing Baohua said impatiently and hung up the phone.

Why was he so anxious? Because he saw another one of his own men lying down.

Just a moment ago it was right beside me, alive and well, and now it's lying motionless on the ground. It breaks my heart to see it like that.

Fortunately, a convoy taking another route rushed over from the opposite direction in time. Xing Baohua's group consisted of a dozen or so men, all armed with AKs. Each man was also equipped with two small pineapples (a type of firearm).

Suppressive firepower is not a problem.

Then I saw two or three of our own men throwing small pineapples, boom boom boom. After a few shots, the other side went silent.

Taking advantage of the lull, two or three guards rushed to the transport team and checked the situation inside the vehicles. Apart from the two vehicles that opened their doors to fight back, the people in the cargo truck in the middle were all down, and the doors of the truck were locked.

The car was riddled with bullet holes and had some burn marks. Inside, two men were slumped in their seats, presumably knocked unconscious by the shockwave of some explosive device.

He tapped on the car window with the butt of his gun, hoping the guys inside could hear him. He then opened the door from the inside.

He would knock for a while, shout a few words, and then squat down.

Then they knocked on it again. As long as the people inside lock the car from the inside, the people outside can't open it at all unless they use a cutting machine.

There were still sporadic sounds. The guards were now fighting back from advantageous cover. Xing Baohua even saw two guards dragging a person wearing camouflage clothing by both legs quickly into their vehicle.

This is a case of catching an injured person.

Xing Baohua immediately picked up the phone and called Camel Chen again: "Brother Camel, find me a good doctor, the kind who can save my life. Once you find one, have him bring a nurse and equipment to..."

"Without allowing the other party to speak, Xing Baohua hung up the phone." Xing Baohua's tone was like that of a gangster boss, issuing a direct order.

Xing Baohua could have gone to the hospital openly, but that would have resulted in him being taken away by J's people. He wouldn't have been able to get the latest information.

At this point, the J-side personnel on the perimeter set up a cordon. Their weapons were too small, so they waited for the Flying Tigers. Only a rapid reaction force could handle this level of firefight.

The person inside the armored vehicle carrying the goods finally reacted. Seeing that it was their own people, they gritted their teeth, clutched their stomach, and unlocked the door for their comrades. Perhaps due to the intense pain, they fainted again.

It looks like the shockwave really shook it.

Open the car door, pull the people out first, then move on to the goods.

If the information is true, in some ways the information is more important than life, so the injured brother was not taken care of at first, but instead brought out several small suitcases.

They quickly moved to Xing Baohua's convoy.

"The security company's people will be here soon. You guys stay here and take care of the brothers. If the J forces arrive, cooperate with them." Xing Baohua instructed one of the guards in the car before he and his two guards left with their belongings.

As for how many people the other side had left, and how many casualties they suffered, Xing Baohua had no idea.

Fortunately, they caught one more person. If he can still speak while alive, that would be for the best. At least we'd know who's after him.

Xing Baohua's car rushed out from inside, but was soon intercepted by the J car blocking the road ahead.

It's not that I didn't want to go forward, but they had blocked the road with buses. I had no choice but to reverse, use all my speed to smash through the guardrail in the middle of the road, and go against the flow of traffic.

Xing Baohua's car was like a business card; one glance at the license plate told you whose car it was. The police officers on duty didn't allow anyone to chase after it. Knowing who it was was enough; what could they do even if they caught up? Would they dare to arrest him?

As for interrogation records and such, that's the job of the Major Crimes Division.

Shortly after Xing Baohua left, another car rushed out, followed by one after another.

The car following Xing Baohua belonged to the remaining members; now only the two of them remained. They weren't chasing Xing Baohua, but rather trying to find a way to escape.

Short on ammunition, eight arrived but six remained. What was supposed to be a minor incident turned into a disaster on a straight road, ruined by a few armored vehicles.

The last two vehicles were Xing Baohua's bodyguards, who came after the cars with the intention of either annihilating them or capturing them all alive.

Two guards were treating the wounded. In this battle, Xing Baohua's side lost seven guards: four from the transport team and three who came with him. Four were injured, but fortunately, none of the injuries were serious.

Xing Baohua's car encountered a security company convoy that had come to provide support on the road. Two vehicles were set aside to provide Xing Baohua with additional protection, and they continued on their way to the safe house.
