☆、53、People I Dislike (2072 words)
There was a large supermarket just across the street. Feng Zihao pushed the cart, and Li Yaxi would pick up any pretty packaging bags she saw, glance at them, and toss the ones she was interested in back into the cart.
Soon the messy pile of snacks was full, and Feng Zihao stopped Li Yaxi from continuing to throw them away.
"Ya Xi, the car is already full, and some of these are things you don't usually like to eat. Are you sure you want them all?"
Li Yaxi glanced cautiously at Feng Zihao and spoke hesitantly.
"Zihao...are you bankrupt?"
Feng Zihao was having trouble keeping up with Li Yaxi's leaps of thought.
"No, the company is doing fine. I meant that even if I bought it, I wouldn't eat it, and it's heavy to carry around, so why bother?"
Li Yaxi pouted, somewhat dissatisfied, "I only took it because I wanted to eat it now. If you don't like it later, you can just eat it yourself. If you don't want to eat it, you can give it to Qin Tian. There's no waste!"
Feng Zihao didn't know whether he should be happy to be ahead of Qin Tian. Seeing Li Yaxi looking like a child who hadn't gotten candy, Feng Zihao smiled helplessly.
"Okay, no waste, let's buy them all!"
Li Yaxi chuckled, her gloom vanished, and she happily jumped around picking out snacks.
Seeing him jumping around, Feng Zihao quickly called out to him to stop, "Ya Xi, stop jumping! You'll fall. Walk properly!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Li Yaxi walked out of a shelf, and the sales clerk pushing the small cart didn't even notice her coming out.
Seeing that Li Yaxi was about to collide with the cart, Feng Zihao rushed over to her with his heart in his throat.
As a result, being a step too slow, Li Yaxi was pulled into Han Weiming's arms before being hit, preventing her from getting hurt again.
Looking at Li Yaxi, who was staring wide-eyed in his arms, Han Weiming smiled gently.
"Why is it that every time I run into you, something bad always happens? Either you crash into a tree or you get into a car accident. You really have a lot of bad luck!"
When Li Yaxi saw the person in front of her, she quickly pushed him away and threw herself into Feng Zihao's arms, hugging him tightly.
Han Weiming's gaze darkened as he looked at him. Feng Zihao checked Li Yaxi over, and only breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that she was unharmed.
"I told you not to wander off! You promised me before you left, and you've already forgotten everything!"
Li Yaxi looked up at Feng Zihao innocently. Even if he was injured, it wasn't a big deal. Could a supermarket shopping cart be as powerful as a car on the road?
But all he wanted now was to leave. "Zihao, let's go home, okay?"
Feng Zihao hurriedly helped him up, "Ya Xi, are you hurt anywhere?"
Li Yaxi quickly shook her head, "No, no, I didn't bump into anything. My legs are just sore from walking. Let's go home."
Before Feng Zihao could even utter a word of praise, Han Weiming beat him to it.
"Is this how you treat your savior, little guy? I saved you twice!"
A savior? Humph! A murderer is more like it!
Li Yaxi put away her coquettishness and looked at him with an icy expression.
"Mr. Han, aren't you exaggerating? Both times it was just a small favor. The words 'lifesaver' are not something you can use casually!"
The cold expression startled Han Weiming, who subconsciously tried to figure out where he had offended him.
After confirming it hadn't worked, she glanced at Feng Zihao casually, then continued to smile warmly at Li Yaxi.
"Even if it was just a small favor, you should at least say thank you. But I don't understand, is there some misunderstanding between you and my cousin? I feel like you're hostile towards me."
Thank you? Thank you for killing me!
Li Yaxi sneered inwardly.
"You're overthinking it. Feng Zihao should have already thanked you for your small favor when I was hospitalized. Since that's the case, why should I go to any more trouble? I have no hostility towards you. I've always treated complete strangers this way!"
After saying that, Han Weiming grabbed Feng Zihao and left. He felt that if they didn't talk things out, things would only get worse between them.
"Ya Xi, I don't really want your thanks. I'm just worried that my cousin might offend someone at school because he's immature. You said you didn't mean any harm, but why do I feel like you don't like me? Is it my fault or my cousin's? I think it's better to clear up this misunderstanding."
Li Yaxi frowned, and Feng Zihao shielded him behind him. "There's no misunderstanding, and no grudge. Mr. Han, if you have plenty of time, you can take your time browsing. We won't keep you company any longer. Goodbye!"
After taking two steps, Li Yaxi stopped and turned to look at Han Weiming. "Mr. Han, I don't think we're close enough to call each other by our first names. If you're someone who's returned from abroad and doesn't understand Chinese etiquette, I think as a Chinese person you should learn it properly. Goodbye, but I hope we never meet again!"
With a proud turn of his head, he took Feng Zihao's hand and walked away. Han Weiming stroked his chin and smiled enigmatically.
"Ah, a little wildcat."
Li Yaxi held Feng Zihao's hand all the way home, then angrily threw herself onto the soft sofa.
Feng Zihao put down his things and sat down next to him. "Ya Xi, why are you so angry?"
"Hmph, a smiling tiger with a fake face! Zihao, stay away from him from now on! Didn't you see the way that hypocrite looked at people? He looked like he wanted to devour them right then and there. Being looked at by someone like that gives me goosebumps! What a hypocrite!"
Lost in her own emotions, Li Yaxi didn't notice Feng Zihao's expression change in an instant.
Feeling hot, she stood up, went to the refrigerator, took out a watermelon and a spoon, sat back on the sofa, took a bite herself, and then scooped out a spoonful to feed Feng Zihao.
"Zihao, what's wrong? You look terrible. Are you feeling unwell?"
Li Yaxi touched Feng Zihao's forehead to check his temperature.
He removed Li Yaxi's hand, smiled at him, and said, "I'm fine. What would you like to eat tonight? I'll make it."
Li Yaxi couldn't tell he was alright; she was worried he was uncomfortable but was forcing himself to stay awake.
Qin Tian will be coming over tonight, you should go and get some rest.
As she spoke, she pulled Feng Zihao up and pushed him into the room to sleep.
After Li Yaxi had been gone for a very long time, Feng Zihao finally let out a soft sigh.
