When the doctor saw Li Yaxi, who was almost in shock, he nearly lost his composure. When he saw Feng Zihao, who was almost suffocating from shock, although he was flustered, he was still more composed than the children.

Yu Le pulled Feng Zihao aside and immediately began performing CPR on Li Yaxi.

Yu Le shook Feng Zihao hard a few times.

"Zihao, Zihao! Don't panic! The doctor is here. What will happen to Yaxi if you panic! Feng Zihao!"

Hearing Li Yaxi's name, Feng Zihao finally snapped out of his shock at the thought of losing her. However, his body was stiff and he couldn't move. He picked up the scissors in the gauze and cut his wrist without hesitation. The moment the blood flowed out, all his senses returned.

His deep voice, tinged with unease and trembling, told Yu Le, "Call an ambulance."

"I've already called, they'll be here soon," Han Weiming, who had been silent the whole time, said.

Feng Zihao only had eyes for the person on the bed who could disappear at any moment. He didn't even look at him, just grunted in acknowledgment.

The ambulance arrived quickly, and Feng Zihao accompanied Li Yaxi into the ambulance, his hand still trembling as he held hers.

"Ya Xi, can you hear me? Ya Xi, please don't die, you can't die, I beg you."

The last three words were choked so hard they were barely audible.

Li Yaxi was unconscious, but her mind was perfectly clear.

He could feel Feng Zihao trembling and hear Feng Zihao's pleading words in his ear. He wanted to respond, but he was powerless to do so.

Li Yaxi felt herself being pushed into a room, isolated from the outside noise. Feng Zihao reluctantly let go of her hand, and the cold instruments touched her body.

He couldn't understand some of the technical terms and the constantly being reported numbers, and the more he listened, the more tired he became.

He didn't know how much time had passed when he was pushed around again, and then someone picked him up. He could feel the care and attention they were giving him, and he knew it was Feng Zihao carrying him.

There was another burst of noise, and something was stuffed into his nose—not a feeding tube, he guessed it was oxygen.

He couldn't even imagine how terrified Feng Zihao must be. People kept talking, and he couldn't tell who was who.

He could only clearly recognize the speaker by the occasional deep male voice; all other sounds were just a jumbled mess in his head.

Finally, he had some peace and quiet, and he was so tired that he fell asleep.

When he regained consciousness, he felt someone touching his body, and his nerves tensed up instantly.

He tried hard to open his eyes to see what this audacious herb thief looked like, but he couldn't open them no matter what he did.

She heard the sound of water, followed by careful and meticulous wiping. Li Yaxi was relieved; it must be Feng Zihao wiping her body.

Hmm, we'll have to get our revenge once he wakes up.

Feng Zihao wrung out a towel and carefully wiped Li Yaxi's pale face, avoiding the oxygen tube. He placed the towel in a basin and was about to pour water when someone came in. Feng Zihao turned around and saw Han Weiming walking over with supplements and fruit.

"Hello, I've come to see him. How is he? Has the doctor said when he'll wake up?"

After placing the items on the ground in the corner, he moved a little closer to Li Yaxi.

Feng Zihao sat back down on the edge of the bed and carefully tidied Li Yaxi's slightly messy hair.

"Thank you for your concern, and thank you for your help that day. The doctor said Ya-hee needs to rest, so Mr. Han doesn't need to go through all this trouble of going to the hospital so often."

"It's alright," Han Weiming said gently, looking at the person on the hospital bed.

"It was fate that we met that day. Besides, he was my cousin's classmate, and I was also concerned about his situation. In addition, I just happened to be passing by on my way to the company, so it wasn't any trouble at all."

Han Weiming himself couldn't understand why he couldn't let go of this boy. Although he was extremely handsome, he wasn't the type to be attracted to good looks. He only knew that he was interested in this boy.

Feng Zihao disliked this person; he had felt a deep aversion to him from their very first meeting. However, considering how much the man had helped him that day, he had no choice but to suppress his disgust.

"I heard you and Ya Xi are very close. What about his family?"

Han Weiming also disliked this calm and reserved young man, but he could only learn more about Li Yaxi from him for the time being.

Feng Zihao replied coldly and without any politeness, "What does Mr. Han want to know?"

He appreciates those who help him, but he won't be polite to those who have ulterior motives.

Han Weiming hadn't expected Feng Zihao's attitude to suddenly become somewhat tough, and after a slight pause, he smiled.

"Please don't misunderstand. I see you're a student too, and I was worried that staying here to take care of him would affect your studies. Also, I've come twice and haven't seen his family, so I was just curious. Please forgive me if I've been presumptuous."

Feng Zihao glanced at Han Weiming.

The sharp gaze gave Han Weiming a fleeting illusion that he had been seen through.

Not everyone who studies at H University is from City B.

Han Weiming's intuition told him that this young man was not simple. He nodded and showed a knowing look. "It's not easy for someone to study in another city alone. Judging from your accent, you're from City B, right?"

Feng Zihao was a little impatient, but he didn't show it. He just said "Hmm."

"Is you his only close friend in City B? I've only seen you taking care of him these past few days."

Feng Zihao turned to look at him. "Mr. Han, is your profession the Red Cross?"

Han Weiming was taken aback by the strange question, but after realizing the sarcasm in the words, he still smiled warmly.

Feng Zihao frowned, somewhat impatiently. "It's getting late. Mr. Han, if you have nothing else, please leave."

Han Weiming didn't hesitate, standing up with his smile unchanged. "Alright, I'm sorry to have bothered you today. Please take good care of him. I'll come see him another day."

With Han Weiming gone, not only Feng Zihao felt relieved, but Li Yaxi also breathed a long sigh of relief.

Although he couldn't wake up, he could hear their conversation clearly.

She felt not only hatred but also fear towards Han Weiming.

So Li Yaxi was still very nervous when she heard that unforgettable voice.

Perhaps the sudden appearance of the virus had a significant impact on him, or perhaps he had once again narrowly escaped death.

The deep pain and fear have also eased considerably.

So aside from the initial panic upon hearing the sound, Li Yaxi quickly calmed down.
