☆、Sixty-one、Appendicitis (2258 words)
When it got home, the little tail bobbed and wagged as if it hadn't seen its owner for a hundred years, and its joy made Li Yaxi laugh.
After playing with her little tail for a while, Li Yaxi went to take a bath. She had slept enough in the afternoon, so she was extra energetic in the evening.
While Feng Zihao was handling company matters, Li Yaxi sat to the side watching a movie with her notebook in hand.
The little tail dragged the blanket to their feet and lay down on it, making it a picture of a happy family of three!
Li Yaxi felt a sudden discomfort in her stomach. Afraid that Feng Zihao would worry, she made an excuse that she was tired and went to sleep first.
I went to the toilet to vomit shortly after lying down in bed, and threw up everything I had eaten.
I was afraid my gastritis had flared up again, so I quickly swallowed two pills.
I rubbed my stomach and drifted off to sleep.
In the middle of the night, I felt nauseous and jumped out of bed to run to the bathroom. I accidentally stepped on the tip of my little tail's tail and vomited violently while holding onto the toilet.
Feng Zihao draped a coat over him, supported him, and patted his back.
"Did you eat something bad? Does it hurt?"
Li Yaxi couldn't stop vomiting as soon as she opened her mouth, tears streaming down her face. She looked extremely pitiful.
After finally vomiting everything up, she stood up, panting, and leaned on Feng Zihao's hand.
"It's probably too cold now, it's fine."
Feng Zihao gave him the anti-inflammatory medicine and filled a hot water bottle to keep him warm.
Li Yaxi was in terrible pain in her stomach. She lay on her side in bed, clutching a hot water bottle, hoping to feel better. She was in a daze until dawn finally broke.
Seeing that Li Yaxi lay listlessly on the bed, not wanting to get up, Feng Zihao assumed he hadn't slept well the night before and didn't disturb him.
"I'll go to the company this morning, and I'll come back at noon to cook for you. You can go to sleep now. Call me if you need anything."
Li Yaxi closed her eyes and hummed twice.
After Feng Zihao left, Li Yaxi slowly fell asleep, but she was woken up by pain less than two hours later, clutching her stomach and panting heavily.
I thought it would get better if I just endured it, but the pain became more and more intense, and my vision would go black in waves.
Even the slightest movement to pick up the phone is excruciatingly painful.
The little tail clung to the edge of the bed, whimpering softly. Li Yaxi clutched her stomach tightly, unable to move, her whole body drenched in sweat as if she had been caught in the rain. With each breath, the pain intensified.
The little tail ran to the door, grabbed it, and kept barking. Eventually, the neighbor complained to the property management downstairs. The property management called Li Yaxi, but no one answered. They then called Feng Zihao.
Feng Zihao's heart sank when he received the call. Little Tail usually didn't bark randomly, and Li Yaxi was home before he left in the morning. Something must have happened.
I sped home, running almost every red light, and the little tail barked even louder as soon as I opened the door.
Feng Zihao ran straight into the room, and Li Yaxi's appearance almost made him faint.
As soon as she was hugged, Li Yaxi groaned in pain. Her hand, which was clutching her stomach, turned white. Her eyes were tightly closed, and it was unclear whether she was delirious from the pain or fully conscious.
I called 120 right away, wiping his sweat as I waited for the ambulance.
"Ya Xi, are you awake? The ambulance is almost here, hang in there a little longer!"
Li Yaxi knew Feng Zihao had returned. He wanted to faint, but he just couldn't.
It felt like knives were churning inside his stomach, and all he could do was clutch the most painful spot tightly!
The ambulance arrived quickly, and several people carried the stretcher inside. Upon seeing Li Yaxi's condition, they said it was either appendicitis or gallstones.
Feng Zihao couldn't bear it, but those people didn't care about that and immediately moved the person onto a stretcher.
Li Yaxi was in so much pain that she groaned, her face turning pale in turn. Feng Zihao was heartbroken and filled with regret!
Knowing that Li Yaxi was not feeling well, why did he even go to the company? If he had been at home, he wouldn't have been in such pain before taking her to the hospital!
The doctor diagnosed it as appendicitis after the examination and said surgery was necessary.
As Feng Zihao watched Li Yaxi being wheeled into the operating room, he remembered to call Qin Tian and ask him to bring some clean clothes to complete some formalities.
When Qin Tian arrived at the hospital, Li Yaxi was still in surgery. Seeing Feng Zihao's pale face, even though he wasn't much better off, he still comforted him.
"Don't worry, appendicitis is a minor surgery with little risk, and you'll recover quickly."
Feng Zihao kept his head down and didn't say anything.
Time passed by, second by second, each second feeling as slow as an eternity.
As soon as the red light during surgery went out, Feng Zihao almost jumped up and peeked through the glass.
It was quite a while before the doctor came out. "How is he? Did the surgery go well?"
The doctor answered him as he took off his blood-stained rubber gloves.
"The patient should have had an attack last night. Why is he only being brought in now? If he had been a few hours later, his appendix would have perforated. If the pus and blood had flowed into other parts of the intestines, any one of the complications could have been fatal!"
Feng Zihao almost lost his balance, and Qin Tian quickly apologized.
"I'm so sorry, we'll definitely be more careful in the future. How is the patient now? Is he in any danger?"
"The appendix has been removed, but the optimal time for surgery has been missed, leading to the spread of inflammation and the patient's low blood pressure, all of which are dangerous. We'll observe the patient in the intensive care unit for now. Do you know anyone who can get albumin? The hospital prescribes this medication according to a schedule, but it's beneficial for the patient's blood circulation, so it would be good to have some on hand."
Qin Tian nodded repeatedly. After the doctor left, it took about half an hour before Li Yaxi was wheeled out by the nurse.
Her face was so pale it was almost transparent. She should have been somewhat conscious after the surgery, but she was too weak and fell into a deep sleep.
Zhan Xiaoyu and Zhao Yi arrived at the hospital at noon, but because they were in the intensive care unit, they couldn't go in before visiting hours.
Looking through the glass, he knew that Feng Zihao was not in the mood to manage the company, so he told him to relax and stay with Li Yaxi, and that he didn't need to worry about the company.
Li Yaxi woke up around the afternoon of the second day. After a check-up, it was found that her condition had not worsened, so she was transferred to a regular ward.
Feng Zihao carefully wiped Li Yaxi's body with a hot towel. There were still traces of blood in some places, which made Feng Zihao feel so heartbroken that he almost suffocated.
The doctor recommended a large quantity of medicine that afternoon, and Li Yaxi slept in a daze for three days before fully waking up.
I had heard how terrible appendicitis was before, but experiencing it firsthand is truly unforgettable!
Not only was she in excruciating pain, but she also terrified Feng Zihao.
Throughout her hospitalization, Li Yaxi was unusually obedient, which was a very strange phenomenon.
