Yuan Fangguo responded with a smile.
His parents didn't know he was coming back today, so when he got home, grandma was the only one at home.
Grandma Qin Mingzhen was sewing shoe soles. The weather was good today and magpies were chirping in the nearby trees. At first, Qin Mingzhen told an old neighbor lady that since there were magpies chirping today, there must be a happy event in someone's family.
When Yuan Fangguo saw his grandmother sitting in the yard concentrating on sewing shoe soles, he couldn't help but quicken his pace.
"Nanny." Yuan Fangguo shouted excitedly when he was more than ten meters away from Qin Mingzhen.
Qin Mingzhen was stunned and quickly raised her head.
When Qin Mingzhen saw that it was her eldest grandson who came back, her eyes quickly filled with tears.
"Fangguo."
"'Grandma' 'Grandma'." Yuan Fangguo strode over with a basket on his back.
"Have you eaten yet?"
"not yet."
"I'll warm it up for you."
"Yeah." Yuan Fangguo smiled.
"You should have come back yesterday. Your parents went to visit relatives today."
"Where did you go?"
"Your uncle's house."
"Then they will probably be back in the afternoon."
"Almost." Qin Mingzhen narrowed her eyes with a kind look on her face.
After lunch, Yuan Fangguo chatted with grandma for a while, and then told her that he was going to visit Erzhu's house.
"Fang Guo, you'd better not go." Qin Mingzhen said with some embarrassment.
"Why?" Yuan Fangguo looked puzzled.
