Chapter 472 Righteousness

Yuan Fangguo was very surprised that Chen Feng was transferred from the remote Heihai County to the provincial capital. After hurriedly finishing the things in his hands in the afternoon, he quickly rushed over to meet Chen Feng.

Compared to his somewhat immature face a year ago, Chen Feng has obviously become more mature this time. Especially since he has been the police station chief for nearly a year, he has accumulated rich work experience, which is very helpful for him to carry out his work in the provincial capital like a fish in water.

As soon as the two met, they gave each other a big hug.

After finishing, Chen Feng looked at Yuan Fangguo and said, "How was it this year?"

"This year has been pretty smooth. With the help of a group of like-minded old friends, things are starting to get better."

"That's not bad. What about Liu Wenbo? Did he really go to the Southern Journal magazine?" Chen Feng didn't think Liu Wenbo was annoying. Instead, he thought he was a very interesting person.

Yuan Fangguo smiled and nodded, "Yes, he went there, but he will probably be back in the next two days. Let's make an appointment then."

"I do think so, but I'm afraid that by then I won't have time. To be transferred from the Black Sea to the province, I have to work harder than others." Chen Feng said jokingly.

Yuan Fangguo said, "That's true, but will you really be so busy that you don't have any time at all?"

"Before I left, Director Huang told me that after arriving in the provincial capital, I shouldn't even think about taking a vacation until I'm 30. I should just be honest and work hard."

"Director Huang is an experienced person, so what he said is definitely true." Yuan Fangguo said.

"He has worked in the Municipal Bureau at most before. Just imagine, the Municipal Bureau is so busy, the Provincial Department must be like a dog." Chen Feng said as he made a cup of hot tea for Yuan Fangguo.

Yuan Fangguo also took the opportunity when Chen Feng was making tea for him to look around the place where he lived.

It was like a single room in college, with no bathroom, just a bed, a table and two chairs. There wasn't even a wardrobe in the room. The luggage Chen Feng brought was still packed in a cardboard box.

His first house was not far from the provincial government office. Seeing the poor conditions of Chen Feng's residence, he couldn't help but ask, "Brother Feng, how long are you going to live here?"

Chen Feng thought about it and told him that he would probably live there for a year or two. He was currently saving money to buy a house, but the price was still a certain distance from his expected price.

"The conditions in this place are really not that good. How about this, Brother Feng, I happen to have an idle house and I don't live there anymore. If you don't mind, you can live there."

Chen Feng was transferred from the Black Sea to Chengdu because he had a girlfriend who was a teacher. Living in a dormitory wasn't a long-term solution after all. Faced with Yuan Fangguo's offer of help, he thought for a moment and said, "Fangguo, how big is your house?"

"Four bedrooms and one living room, the area is almost ninety square meters."

"How about I give you 300 yuan in rent every month?" Chen Feng said honestly.

"Three hundred is a bit too much, one hundred is enough." Yuan Fangguo said with a smile.

"One hundred is too little." Chen Feng felt a little embarrassed after hearing this.

"One hundred is quite a bit." Yuan Fangguo said seriously, "My house is idle anyway. If you live in it, it can help me gain some popularity. Just a small token of appreciation between us brothers. Don't take it too seriously."

Chen Feng had never been polite to Yuan Fangguo before, but now that he was going to live in his house, he became serious. Seeing that Yuan Fangguo didn't care about the amount of money at all and was a little hesitant, he agreed immediately.

"There's still some time, why don't I take you to see it?" Yuan Fangguo said.

Chen Feng nodded and followed Yuan Fangguo to drive straight to his first house.

All the personal belongings in the house were moved into the villa, leaving only furniture and kitchen utensils. It was the type where you could move in right away. After seeing it, Chen Feng was quite satisfied and decided to buy the villa immediately.

"Here is the key, take it and don't lose it, otherwise it will cost you a hundred yuan." Yuan Fangguo smiled and handed the key in his hand to Chen Feng.

Chen Feng got the key and thought that he could give his girlfriend a simple explanation for the time being.

Yuan Fangguo hosted the evening party. Bai Yanfei was unable to come because he was accompanying his leader on an inspection trip out of town. The rest of the Bashu Club members were all present, and Yuan Fangguo took this opportunity to introduce Chen Feng to everyone.

Although the members of the Bashu Club are mainly composed of graduates from Bashu University, it did not have any xenophobic ideas at the beginning of its establishment. Anyone with similar ideals could join. After only a short while of interacting with everyone, Chen Feng realized that it was not easy to join the Bashu Club where resources were completely shared.

Naturally, he was also grateful in his heart that Yuan Fangguo truly treated him as a friend.

During the dinner, Zhao Botao, who worked at the Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, wanted to move his nephew's household registration from the countryside to the city. Liu Tongsheng, who worked at the Municipal Party Committee Office, got it done with just one phone call.

"A toast to you, senior brother." Zhao Botao said with gratitude, raising his glass respectfully with both hands.

"Let's go one by one." Liu Tongsheng said cheerfully.

"You guys are really die-hards." Chen Feng said to Yuan Fangguo in a low voice.

"We all have a good relationship. Although we rarely see each other due to busy work schedules, every time we meet, we feel as close as brothers and sisters. I, a junior, was able to build my business last year thanks to the help of these seniors."

"This is a society where interpersonal relationships are paramount," said Chen Feng.

Yuan Fangguo took a sip of his hot tea and said, "That's indeed the case. That's why we stick together, helping each other, learning from each other, and making progress together."

"I've learned a lot today." Chen Feng said with a high-spirited look on his face. Then, he raised his glass and drank a glass with everyone present.

The lively dinner party lasted until around nine o'clock in the evening. Every time there was a dinner party, Yuan Fangguo would always bring at least two drivers from the company, so that they could send everyone home or to the office one by one after the dinner.

The drivers of the two cars returned with full loads, leaving him alone in the cold wind.

The dinner place was not far from his new home, and he could easily walk home by himself.

The cold wind in December was particularly cold, and Yuan Fangguo was so cold that he couldn't help but turn up his collar and put his hands in his pockets.

I had just taken a few steps when my cell phone rang again. I picked up the phone and saw that it was Ouyang Lin calling.

Why is she calling me so late?

Yuan Fangguo looked puzzled.

He hesitated whether to answer Ouyang Lin's call.
