Yi Juntao spat out a mouthful of blood in his heart, but he quickly expressed his opinion, "Wenbo, since the school doesn't allow it, we should not cross the line. If we really get caught by the police, we really won't be as easy to deal with as those guys in the school security department."
Liu Wenbo glanced at Yi Juntao and saw that he didn't seem to be joking, but was telling him something quite seriously. He couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
"Taozi, I understand your difficulties. If you don't want to participate, I won't force you."
Seeing that Liu Wenbo finally stopped making things difficult for him this time, Yi Juntao couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Thank God, he finally got rid of the "plague god".
After saying this, Liu Wenbo left their dormitory without looking back.
"Oh my god, I'm finally free." Yi Juntao lay slumped on Yuan Fangguo's bed, gasping for breath, as if he had been resurrected from the dead.
"Taozi, it was you who came up with this idea, but now you just don't care about it anymore," said Sun Kejian.
Yi Juntao shook his head helplessly. "Kejian, it's true that I came up with this idea, but I regretted it the moment I brought it up. I was just being quick-witted, but I never knew the Plague God would get caught up in it like a demon. A few days ago, I actually made up my mind to work with him and Xue Dong, but who knew that the social science department wouldn't support it? Why am I still stubbornly insisting on it?"
What Yi Juntao said was not wrong. Sun Kejian couldn't help but shake his head after hearing it. He turned his attention to Yuan Fangguo and said, "Fangguo, you are really a stubborn fellow. You won't turn back until you hit the wall."
Yuan Fangguo nodded and smiled, "Liu Wenbo is just that kind of person. He has a bit of the pride of a scholar and refuses to give in easily to anything. Last time Taozi was arrested with others and taken to the Security Department, he acted like a comrade who was infinitely loyal to the revolutionary cause. I admire people like him."
Yuan Fangguo's words hit the nail on the head when it came to Liu Wenbo's character, causing Sun Kejian and Yi Juntao to nod their heads.
"Then do you think it would be dangerous for him to go alone?" Yi Juntao suddenly seemed to have a change of heart.
Upon hearing this, Yuan Fangguo and Sun Kejian fell into silence. After a while, they nodded in unison.
"Fang Guo, you have a good relationship with the God of Plague, so you should persuade him." Yi Juntao frowned.
Yuan Fangguo nodded and said, "Okay, I'll find some time to persuade him to go."
While everyone was chatting, the dormitory door was suddenly pushed open again.
Yi Juntao quickly looked and saw that it was Xue Dong.
"What's wrong?" he asked quickly.
"Wenbo came to me just now and asked me if I wanted to go. I said no." Xue Dong also stated the purpose of his visit.
Yi Juntao nodded. "He's also contacted me, but I said I wouldn't go. The school wouldn't support us. If we say we're going to conduct research on our own, who would believe us if we get caught by the police?"
Xue Dong blinked his clever little eyes, "Yes, I think so too. I worked so hard to get into university. If I get punished or expelled because of this, it would be too bad."
Yi Juntao nodded in agreement.
Xue Dong didn't stay in their dormitory for too long. After a few minutes, he left in a hurry.
Yi Juntao was still somewhat worried about Liu Wenbo's safety in the upcoming investigation. He once again reminded Yuan Fangguo to persuade him well when he had time in the next two days.
Yuan Fangguo just looked at his class schedule. He has no classes tomorrow afternoon. He plans to visit Wang Aifang at the Provincial Post and Telecommunications Bureau tomorrow afternoon. He should be able to find time to talk to Liu Wenbo in the evening.
"Okay, I'll try to talk to him tomorrow night," Yuan Fangguo said.
Yi Juntao nodded, and felt better.
The next morning, Yuan Fangguo used the break time to call Wang Aifang's office, and Wang Aifang's voice soon came through the phone.
Wang Aifang told Yuan Fangguo on the phone to come see her at 4:30 in the afternoon.
Yuan Fangguo left the school not long after lunch and strolled along the moat outside the campus. His mind was full of thoughts about the Yellow Pages.
After finally getting to 3:30 in the afternoon, Yuan Fangguo quickly boarded a bus and headed straight for the Provincial Post and Telecommunications Bureau. It was only four o'clock when he arrived. He wandered outside for another twenty minutes before finally walking into the compound.
The old man in the message room enthusiastically told him the approximate location of Wang Aifang's office. After thanking him, Yuan Fangguo hurried over.
Wang Aifang is the deputy director and head of the marketing department. Yuan Fangguo found the office easily based on the house number. It was exactly at 4:29.
He knocked on Wang Aifang's office door, and Wang Aifang gestured for him to close the door.
Wang Aifang got straight to the point. "Xiao Yuan, the things are all in here. I'll lend them to you for eight days. You must return them after eight days."
Yuan Fangguo took a closer look and saw a large canvas bag on the desk. It was bulging and he guessed it contained the information of those companies.
"Thank you, Aunt Wang." Yuan Fangguo said with gratitude.
"Put your things away and don't drop them." Before leaving, Wang Aifang specifically reminded again.
Yuan Fangguo nodded, picked up the heavy canvas bag and walked out of the office.
It only took about five minutes in total.
Since he had these materials with him, Yuan Fangguo did not return to the dormitory, but went directly to Li Chunli's stationery store.
Yang Xuexiu was still in charge of the stationery store in the afternoon. When Yang Xuexiu saw Yuan Fangguo holding a large pile of things, she was surprised.
