Chapter 12 I Didn't Require a Wolf

Chapter 12 I Didn't Require a Wolf

"Mom, are you going to sell such a big pig?" Looking at the horrifically bloody pig, Boss Li's saliva was flowing.

Ever since we sent the fifth child to school after the Chinese New Year, our family hasn't eaten meat for two months. In his mother's words, the oily food from the Chinese New Year dinner is still in his stomach, so there's no point in eating meat.

That's bullshit. There wasn't much oil and water during the Chinese New Year. It was all gone long ago. Now that I've picked up such a big pig, I must eat it up at home first.

"Mom, I don't think we can sell all of this big pig. Why don't we keep half at home and sell the other half?" Boss Li rubbed his hands. "My younger brother is injured and needs to recuperate. Isn't that right, Mom?"

Yuan and Li Laoer also swallowed subconsciously. Yuan was about to nod in agreement when Li Laoer said firmly, "Mom, let's sell them all. My wife and I can drag them to town and sell them. It's spring planting time and the price of meat is high. Wild boars are not as delicious as domestic pigs. They can still be sold for eleven cents per catty. Even if we sell them for ten cents per catty, we can still get several taels of silver from this wild boar."

This wild boar weighed at least five or six hundred kilograms. After discarding the hair, blood, and internal organs, and leaving two kilograms for the family to satisfy their hunger, there would still be at least three taels of silver. Just thinking about it made Li Laoer's heart burn with excitement. This was all his capital.

"Mom, you are truly my dearest mother. You run into wild boars every time you go out. I was so worried just now..."

"No!" Li Laoda jumped up and down. If he kept the meat at home, he could still eat a few more bites. If he sold it, it would obviously go into Lao Er's pocket. Why? "Lao Er, you are so scheming. Mom picked up the pig, so it's Mom's turn!"

Qin Fangci: That’s right, Boss Li’s mind works the fastest at times like these.

"Mother said she would bring the third child out to hunt wolves for my business. Mother is a man of her word. This wild boar should be sold to me for the money. Why are you so nosy?"

The two brothers started arguing like crazy, and Yuan also came to help her husband. Li Laosan stood in the middle, and the two sides did not fight. Instead, Li Laosan, who was trying to stop the fight, got hit several times.

Qin Fangci suddenly stood up and swung the rattan in her hand. The eldest and second Li Lao felt pain suddenly, and they both jumped back with a cry.

"Mom?" Boss Li couldn't believe it.

Li Laoer also glared. Yuan jumped behind Li Laoer. Although she was not hit, she was still frightened. "Mother, how could you hit someone?"

Swish! Qin Fangci waved the cane in her hand again.

The three of them shut up and stepped back.

"Mom, please talk nicely, don't use violence."

Qin Fangci was not a mother who would beat her children in the past, but she didn't mind taking the saying "a good son is born under the stick" as the truth in the future.

Daya and Li Laosan were stunned. One of them lowered his head and rubbed the rattan in his hand quickly, while the other one silently stepped back.

Qin Fangci said fiercely, "Why are you arguing? This pig is mine, and I have the final say!"

"Mom, I told you the pig is yours. It was the second child who was disobedient, so I helped you." Boss Li felt more and more aggrieved as he spoke. "Why are you hitting me too?"

Li Laoer jumped up and down, "Brother! It was you who clearly promised me to give me money to start my business."

Qin Fangci swung the cane twice more to calm him down before saying, "Yes, I promise. If I kill the wolf, I'll give it to you. Look carefully, this is a pig, not a wolf, so it's mine. Understand?"

Li Laoer was about to cry. No, he could be a pig too! He didn't have to be a wolf!

"If you want to help, go back and pull the cart and get the machete and rope. If you don't want to help, carry the hoe back to the field."

"I didn't say I wouldn't help, Mom," Li Laoer tried to negotiate again.

"Snap!" The cane swung down, brushing against Lao Er's ear. The pebbles on the ground bounced high into the air. Li Lao Er jumped up and ran as if there was an evil ghost chasing him. "Mom, don't hit me, don't hit me. I'm going right away. You have the final say, you have the final say!"

Yuan covered her eyes, she couldn't bear the cane!

Qin Fangci held the rattan with a cold expression like a god of death. With a glance, Boss Li immediately squatted down and began to twist the rope timidly and cautiously.

"If you don't accept my toast, you'll be punished." Qin Fangci handed the cane to Daya, "Daya, take this cane back. This will be our family rule from now on."

If a child is disobedient, he probably deserves a beating.

Haoer clears the liver, brightens the eyes, tightens the skin, clears the heart and refreshes the mind, and is specially used to treat rebellion.

Yuan opened her mouth, then quietly closed it, having the illusion that the days ahead would not be easy.

As the saying goes, the first burst of energy is followed by a decline and the third burst of energy is exhausted. She used up all her energy yesterday and has not yet gathered it up for today, so she just doesn't dare to make a fuss.

Forget it, it’s such a big wild boar. Her husband is the only one in the family who is good at business, so selling wild boars must be her husband’s job. It’s better not to offend her mother-in-law. She holds a grudge!

Daya nervously put away the cane, and received a quiet roll of the eyes from her father. Daya also quietly pretended not to see it.

"Third brother, go cut a thicker stick, remember to cut it long. Daya, go pick some bracken. The first and second brothers, come over with the ropes. Let's try to see if we can tie it this way."

Under Qin Fangci's command, Boss Li and Yuan tied the pig's trotters together in pairs.

The front hooves and the hind hooves are tied together. After tying the pig's hooves, a wooden stick is inserted into the middle of the hooves. Then several people lift the wooden stick and move the wild boar onto the cart.

When Li Lao Er arrived with the cart, Qin Fangci had also brought Li Lao Da and Yuan Shi and everything was ready.

Qin Fangci and Yuan held the cart together. Li Laosan lifted one side, and Li Laoda and Li Laoer lifted one side. The three of them worked together, "Hey! Ha!"

The wild boar moved onto the cart.

Pig blood cannot be suffocated. Li Laosan had already cut the pig's neck, and the blood had almost flowed out. Li Laoer freed his hands and hurriedly placed the small basin he brought under the pig's neck. Looking at the slowly dripping pig blood, his heart seemed to be bleeding too.

Pig blood is also a dish.

“Mom, do we really have to bring the wild boar back to the village?

If she didn't pull the wild boar back, she wouldn't even have a single hair left. Qin Fangci gave Li Laoer a cold look, and Li Laoer had no choice but to follow her and protect the wild boar as they walked back reluctantly.

If he had known that he could pick up a wild boar here, he would have come here himself and dragged it to the city to sell it.

After passing the bamboo forest, the Li family and their group came into the sight of the villagers.

"Good heavens! What is that?"

"It seems to be a big guy, why does it look like a wild boar?"

The villagers stopped working and gathered here with hoes on their shoulders.

"Ah, it's really a wild boar. How come it's so big? Li Laosan, did you guys go hunting wild boars?"

Li Laosan nodded honestly. Qin Fangci, who was walking beside him, continued, "Yeah, I was thinking of hunting a rabbit, but who knew a wild boar would suddenly rush out."

"Hiss!" Everyone around gasped.

Someone looked at Qin Fangci and the others covered in blood and asked with concern, "Aunt Li, are you all okay? Are you hurt?"

Qin Fangci smiled gently at the man, "Fortunately, my third child is here, so the skin wound is not a big deal."

Someone else worriedly asked, "Is that the wild boar that just roared? Oh, that roar was so scary! How could there be a wild boar here? What if it rushes into the village?"
