Chapter 342 Temporary Stay
As everyone's lives improved, they gradually stopped pursuing just having enough food and clothing. There were many students and residents near the school, and the high foot traffic meant that business should be good here. During the time Ye Qian was filming, a private restaurant opened near the school.
During her holiday, Ye Qian even went out of her way to find two dishes to try at home. Unexpectedly, they tasted quite good. This restaurant is located in a small alley. It's the chef's own house, and the craftsmanship is passed down from generation to generation. They previously opened a private restaurant, but XX had to close it later. Now that the world is better, it has reopened.
One advantage of owning your own house is that it has a private room. The room upstairs was separated and made into a small private room, which is what Ye Qian happened to see when she was buying groceries.
After class, Ye Qian and Wang Qiong went straight to this private restaurant, ordered three dishes, and then went to the private room. Only then did she ask about the land: "We should buy land, so we should have some documents or something."
"Yes, a piece of paper. I asked my dad to keep an eye on it. It's my dad's job anyway, so I'm not afraid of forgery. I'll ask him to mail it to me after the certificate is processed." This is what she should do. Although she handled it, it is the company's land after all, and Ye Qian is the biggest boss, so she should be given it.
Ye Qian didn't refuse, and soon the dishes were served. The two began to eat. While eating, Wang Qiong said, "This restaurant has been open for a long time, but I never had the time to come and try it with you. I didn't expect that we would be here first."
“The taste is really good. I packed up several dishes to take home.”
As they ate, Wang Qiong asked, "What are you going to do? Are you really going to open a vegetarian restaurant?"
Ye Qian nodded: "Yes, I have decided, you don't have to worry about whether the corn I gave you tastes good. We will sell these vegetables when the time comes."
At this point, Wang Qiong became excited again: "It's delicious, delicious. I really regret why I didn't take all of it. It's so annoying. But where did you get all these vegetables?"
"Someone found me and said she could sell it to me in large quantities, but she would only contact me. When our store opens, I will be the only one who can communicate with her about receiving the goods, so there is no rush." She certainly couldn't tell anyone else about the space. There was no rush because they still had at least two years before graduation. It would be fine if she was in Beijing, but how would the vegetables be transported there if she wasn't?
While trains aren't as late as they used to be, this is still southern China, and even if the train isn't delayed, it still takes at least five days to get to Beijing. That's time you can't save. After all, not everyone can afford a plane these days. It's not a big deal for people, but if the vegetables take a week to ship, they'll wilt and their taste will naturally be compromised.
It wouldn't be a big deal if it wilted, but if it still tasted fresh a week later, she'd have a hard time explaining it. So she couldn't do anything so risky. She wasn't alone anymore, and she had to consider the consequences of everything she did. This was a consequence she couldn't bear, so she wouldn't take the risk.
"Let's leave this place here for now. After the exams, we'll go to Beijing together and I'll see how to build it there." The buildings nowadays are quite old. Ye Qian doesn't plan to use the old buildings. She might as well tear them down and rebuild them to see how big they can be. She can also directly order the required tables and chairs from the furniture factory.
Over the past year or so, Ye Qian had sent her furniture designs several times, and the furniture factory had continued to send her money from the sales commission. It could be said that the cooperation was quite good. If she needed any furniture made, she would naturally choose a familiar furniture factory.
"What about that piece of land?" Wang Qiong was quite curious about what the other one was going to do with the vegetarian restaurant.
"I originally wanted to open a hot pot restaurant, but..." Beijing's hot pot already has its own unique characteristics, and she herself loves it. Ye Qian felt that she didn't need to add anything from the future to it. "Or maybe a stewed soup restaurant, or spicy hot pot, or cold pot and skewers would be fine. It depends on how big the land is." If possible, it wouldn't be impossible to open all three.
Seeing that Ye Qian had some ideas, Wang Qiong didn't say anything more. After all, he had never suffered any loss by listening to Ye Qian.
The two of them didn't order any main courses, but finished all three dishes. They packed up two meat dishes and took them back for everyone to eat. Everyone was very polite when they saw that there was food, and said, "Thank you."
Time flies, and in the blink of an eye it's summer vacation again. This means that when school starts again, the school will welcome new students.
Two months ago, Gu Jinyan knew that Ye Qian was planning to go to Beijing during the summer vacation, so he deliberately postponed his business trip to Beijing and tried to go with Ye Qian. Ye Qian was deeply moved when she heard this: "Don't do this next time. Your work is more important."
Although Gu Jinyan nodded in agreement, he would not listen. Although work is important, family is equally important.
After the exam, Fu Shan and Wang Qiong went back to Beijing first. Ye Qian waited for the results here to coordinate with Gu Jinyan's schedule. He had postponed his business trip for her, so she had to leave at the same time as him.
A few days later, the results came out. Ye Qian went directly to the school to get her results, and took Wang Qiong and Fu Shan's results with her as well. Then the whole family set off for Beijing together.
At breakfast this morning, Ye Qian asked Auntie Lan to stir-fry a few more dishes and steam some corn and sweet potatoes, so she didn't have to buy lunch or dinner. The food on the train was no match for home-cooked food.
Gu Jinyan and Aunt Lan were taking care of their three children, so she had some time to continue writing her novel. This novel was a difficult one, and it was already summer, and she had only written half of it. She wasn't sure how long it would take to finish it.
Before the holiday, Professor Xiao also mentioned to her that the film had been almost edited, and she should be able to see the finished film after the summer vacation. Things like the release schedule were not her concern, as Professor Xiao had the connections to handle these things. This also saved Ye Qian a lot of worry, otherwise she would have to trouble Gu Jinyan, after all, she had no say here.
Five days later, the train arrived in Beijing. Fu Shan asked her father for a car and waited at the station. She was afraid that Wang would get off the train, so she didn't dare to go. Fu Shan was right. With so many people in their family, there was no room for one more person.
Fu Ce's original intention was to take Ye Qian and her family to live in her own home, but Ye Qian was unwilling, and the driver had no choice but to send them to the state-owned hotel where they had stayed before and then went home to report.
Ye Qian and the others had just settled down and were about to go downstairs for lunch when Fu Shan came over and said, "Sister Qian, why do you stay in a hotel instead of coming to my house? It's not as comfortable as my house." It's not like she hasn't stayed in a hotel before. There were so many strangers and the noise was so loud that it would be inconvenient to bring a child with her.
