Chapter 359 Are You Kidding Me?
But recently I don’t know what kind of monster I’ve started to catch. I serve my family with delicious food and drinks at home every day, and greet them with smiles as soon as they come home. Anyway, I’m so depressed every day.
Wang Qiong's car arrived first. Ye Qian and Fu Shan sent the people to the car. Fu Shan gossiped and said, "My sister-in-law is pregnant."
"Ah." It's been less than a month since we got married, and she found out she's pregnant so soon. Could it be...
Ye Qian looked at Fu Shan with questioning eyes. Fu Shan nodded heavily, "That's what I guessed."
"Haha, I can't believe it, I can't believe it. She's pregnant, so it's okay. It's almost time. They're both not young anymore, so the sooner they have the baby, the sooner it's over." Ye Qian was not interested in the gossip about the two of them.
"Sister Qian, it's still early and I don't want to go back. I'll go to your house for dinner." Fu Shan said.
Ye Qian looked at her watch and it was almost time for dinner: "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Wang Qiong has already gone home. Why don't we go eat together? Let's go."
"I just remembered that it's the same if she goes there next time. We're just friends." Fu Shan took Ye Qian's arm and walked towards Ye Qian's home.
It’s not far, just over ten minutes away.
When Ye Qian and Fu Shan arrived home, no one was home. Fu Shan asked curiously, "Sister Qian, where are the children?"
"It's time to go out and play." Ye Qian replied.
Their family had lived here for over a month and knew many of the neighbors, though the houses were large and a bit far apart. But about ten minutes down the road, there was a small park where elderly people loved chatting, playing chess, and fishing. Naturally, some of the family members who were home with their grandchildren would bring them out for a stroll in the afternoon, so the neighbors they knew weren't always on good terms.
As long as Ye Qian didn't see anyone at home, she would definitely be able to find him here. It was still early here, and he should still be in the park.
Ye Qian asked Fu Shan to sit by herself. She went to the kitchen, washed a dish, took out some fruits from the space, washed them, and brought them out.
Seeing Fu Shan drooling at the fish and shrimp in the pond, she handed over the fruit helplessly and said, "Eat this first. Do you want fish or shrimp? I'll make it tonight."
Fu Shan quickly shook her head, "No, these are all good things, leave them for the children." These fish and shrimps are nutritious, and they must be raised by the family for the children to eat. No matter how greedy she is, she can't snatch the food from the children.
Ye Qian said, "The children can buy food when they want to eat. We can eat whatever you want."
"Really, there's no need, Sister Qian."
"Then let's eat it all tonight. Make some fish soup, stir-fry some spicy shrimps, and some small vegetables. I remember you like corn, and we have it at home." Not only was there corn at home, but there was plenty in the space as well. She really didn't need any of it, but Ye Qian still appreciated her kindness.
"Don't refuse." Ye Qian turned and walked into the living room and took out two chairs. Then the two of them sat by the pond, eating fruit and enjoying the scenery.
Fu Shan finished her fruit meal to her heart's content. She touched her belly and said, "This is the first time in my life that I've had all-you-can-eat fruit. And this fruit is so delicious. It's completely different from anything I've eaten before. I can't stop eating it."
Ye Qian smiled and said, "If it weren't for the high quality of these fruits and vegetables, I wouldn't have thought of opening a vegetarian restaurant. We can sell vegetarian dishes and order fruits with VIP cards. We won't sell them to the public, but the prices will naturally be higher."
It wasn't that Ye Qian wanted to raise the price, but her stuff was truly good, something money couldn't buy. And those who could afford it wouldn't care, and those who couldn't afford it simply couldn't afford it. There was no such thing as ripping anyone off; it was just a matter of willing buyers paying.
She also lets people know that you get what you pay for, so something bought at such a high price must be a good thing.
The two of them sat for a while. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the children were about to come back, and she couldn't sit idle either, so she turned around and went to the kitchen to get tools to catch fish and shrimp.
Fu Shan quickly took the tools and said, "Sister Qian, I'm here. I can't eat for free at your house."
"Okay, come on, catch more, don't be shy." Ye Qian said, then turned and went back to the kitchen to peel, wash and cut the vegetables she was going to eat. After finishing all this, Fu Shan came to the kitchen with the bucket of fish and shrimp and the tools. Ye Qian took one look and said, "That's not much. Catch some more shrimp."
Fu Shan looked at the bucket and said, "It's already quite a lot. This is enough to eat."
"That's not enough. Go get some more." He finished speaking and then said, "Forget it. I'll go with you."
The two of them came to the pond again, and Ye Qian said, "Eat some today, and then eat them all next time you come. Otherwise, when we go back, these fish and shrimp will die if we don't finish them."
Fu Shan nodded: "Okay."
The two of them caught some more shrimp. Ye Qian picked the shrimp thread while Fu Shan cleaned the fish. While they were busy, Aunt Lan came back with the children. Hearing the noise from the kitchen, the group of Wulala gathered over. Before they arrived, they heard the voice first: "Mom, we're back."
"Mother."
"Mother."
Oh, it's really noisy. But it's really lively.
As soon as the voice fell, three carrot heads crowded at the kitchen door. When they saw Fu Shan there, they hurriedly called out, "Auntie Shan, hello."
"Hello." Fu Shan responded politely.
They were old acquaintances, having met each other many times before. There was no awkwardness in meeting again. Ning Ning, naturally familiar with Fu Shan, immediately started chatting with her, "Auntie Shan, shall we have fish tonight?"
"Yes, I'm killing it right now. This fish will make a delicious fish soup." It would be perfect if we add some tofu. Fu Shan didn't say this. You can't make such excessive requests when eating at someone else's house. There is no tofu in the fish soup at home either.
"Auntie Shan, when you kill the fish, it will feel pain." Ningning said and looked at Fu Shan innocently.
When Ye Qian heard this, she knew that Ning Ning had started again. She didn't know who this child looked like, but he seemed to look a lot like her. Ye Qian didn't want to admit that such an annoying child looked like her, so she ignored the two of them and continued to pick her own shrimp thread.
"Ah." Fu Shan stopped killing the fish and asked, "What should we do then?"
"I don't know either." Ning Ning's voice fell, and the fish under Fu Shan's hand swung vigorously. Ning Ning took a look and continued, "Auntie Shan, the fish hurts."
Fu Shan held the knife in her right hand, not knowing whether she should continue cleaning the fish in her hand. She had already gutted the fish, leaving no internal organs behind. She was scraping off the scales. The fish was definitely not going to survive, but Ningning said this again. For a moment, Fu Shan really didn't know what to do.
Seeing Fu Shan sitting in a chair thinking about life, Ye Qian said to Ning Ning, "Ning Ning, stop teasing your Aunt Shan."
"Hahahaha." Several children laughed out loud.
"You're just kidding me." Fu Shan then realized that she was being teased.
