Chapter 26: Accidental Hit

"Yunsheng?" He Yan almost thought she was dazzled. She looked again and it was indeed He Yunsheng.

He Yunsheng had already walked in front of her, protecting her, and pushed Fan Cheng away with one palm.

"How did you get up here?" After finally standing still, Fan Cheng pointed at him and shouted, his eyes full of disbelief.

"Of course he swam up!" said He Yunsheng.

He had just been pulled out of the water, and was dripping wet all over. He squatted down and untied the rope around He Yan's feet.

"How did you know I was here?"

"I was afraid that the guy named Fan would bother you, so I sent Shuangqing back early to guard you. Who knew that he would see you being called away." Shuangqing was the servant that He Yan bought for He Yunsheng, and he usually accompanied him to the academy.

"Shuangqing followed me here and turned back to tell me. I ran and swam all the way here, but luckily I caught up." He untied the rope on He Yan's feet and was about to untie the rope on He Yan's hand, but he didn't expect that the rope on He Yan's hand was loose. He was a little surprised, but he didn't think much about it. He stood up and glared at Fan Chengdao: "If I hadn't caught up in time, what would this beast want to do to you?"

"What?" Fan Cheng finally came to his senses. He looked at He Yunsheng and said with a fearless smile, "What do you think you can change by coming here?"

There was no one else on the boat except the three of them. Probably because they were afraid of disturbing Fan Cheng's "interest", even the guards who had just brought He Yan here were nowhere to be found. They probably rowed their boats far away, waiting to receive Fan Cheng's instructions after the task was accomplished.

"Your sister has been mine for a long time." Fan Cheng said disdainfully, "I think you are just refusing to accept my offer. Don't be so shameless. Who was the one who tried every means to climb into my bed? Why are you pretending to be a chaste woman now?"

"You!" He Yunsheng's face immediately turned red when he heard that. He rushed over and punched him, "You bastard!"

Fan Cheng was nearly knocked down by him, and the boat was shaken violently by his movement, causing He Yunsheng to stagger.

He Yan frowned and was about to go over to help, but she saw something flash in Fan Cheng's sleeves, vaguely a silver light. Her scalp tightened and she shouted, "Yun Sheng, get out of the way!"

He Yunsheng didn't know what was going on and turned over subconsciously. With a "bang", the knife that Fan Cheng took out stabbed his clothes.

He Yunsheng was also frightened and broke out in a cold sweat, saying, "How dare you kill someone!"

"Why not?" Fan Cheng's face was grim. "You are the son of a captain, so if you die, you die! When you die, I will enslave your sister and provide her for my entertainment every day. When I get tired of her, I will sell her to the building." He laughed.

A hint of sternness appeared in He Yan's eyes.

She didn't touch Fan Cheng just because she was afraid of causing trouble for the He family, but now it seems that no matter whether she does something or not, Fan Cheng will not let it go.

He Yunsheng was also furious, and simply turned around and bumped into Fan Cheng's stomach. Fan Cheng was knocked down unexpectedly, and the boat shook again, and he fell to the ground. He opened his mouth to call for help, but He Yan shouted, "Don't let him make a sound!" Then he flew forward and stuffed the handkerchief on the table into Fan Cheng's mouth.

Fan Cheng's mouth was blocked. While he was distracted, He Yunsheng had already ridden on his back and punched him. He was a teenager with great strength. Although Fan Cheng boasted about being powerful, he was no match for him and gradually stopped struggling.

"Yunsheng, that's enough." He Yan stopped him, "If you continue to hit him, he will die."

"It would be better if he died!" He Yunsheng gritted his teeth and said, "If he dies, he won't miss you anymore!"

"Then the He family will be in trouble." He Yan pulled his hand away, "Get him up first."

He Yunsheng climbed up from Fan Cheng's back. Fan Cheng lay face down and didn't move. He Yunsheng kicked him, "Get up! Stop pretending to be dead!"

Fan Cheng remained motionless.

"I'll kill you with just two hits. You're really good at lying." He Yunsheng mocked as he tried to kick Fan Cheng up. However, just as he moved, he suddenly saw a red mist gradually emerging at his feet, where Fan Cheng was lying.

He said: "He, he..."

He Yan was listening carefully to the noise outside. Their boat was shaking just now, and he didn't know if Fan Cheng's guards saw it. At the moment, it seemed nothing was wrong, and they might think it was Fan Cheng's "interest". At this moment, he heard He Yunsheng's sudden change of color, and looked at him in surprise, and froze after a glance.

After a moment, she squatted down and calmly turned Fan Cheng over.

"Ah--" He Yunsheng cried out briefly, quickly covered his mouth and swallowed the rest of the sound into his throat, looking at the scene in front of him in disbelief.

Fan Cheng was turned over and lay on his back, his body was limp as if he had no bones, the clothes around his waist and abdomen were stained red with blood, a bit of the knife handle was exposed, and the tip of the knife was completely buried in the flesh and bones.

When fighting with He Yunsheng just now, Fan Cheng took out a dagger from his sleeve. Later, when the boat was shaking, the knife fell to the ground. He Yunsheng knocked him down, and the knife stabbed into his own abdomen.

Originally, the wound shouldn't have been that deep, but He Yunsheng pinned him to the ground and punched him, so the whole knife went into his stomach and he died.

He Yunsheng was so frightened that his legs went limp and he fell to the ground, saying in horror: "He...he can't be?"

He Yan stretched out two fingers to feel his breath and spat out two words, "Dead."

He Yunsheng looked at her blankly, as if he didn't understand what she meant. After a moment, he groaned and said in a panic, "He, why did he die? What should we do?"

The boat was still in the river, swaying and drifting. There seemed to be no other light around except the lights on the boat. In the dead silence, He Yunsheng's sobs were particularly clear. He said, "What should we do? What should we do?"

After all, he was just a teenager who had never killed anyone, seen blood, or even killed fish without thinking. He said something fierce, but he didn't expect that he would really kill someone. He Yunsheng was already panicking, repeating the meaningless "what should I do" in his mouth.

He Yan frowned as he looked at Fan Cheng's body.

She had killed too many people, but they were all enemies on the battlefield. She had not killed anyone like this. Although she was a little surprised, she was not panicked. Looking at He Yunsheng again, he looked dazed, crying and laughing, shaking Fan Cheng's body, as if he wanted to wake him up, but he had already lost his mind.

With a "pop" sound.

A burning pain came from his face, like a wake-up call. He Yunsheng woke up from his previous confusion and looked at He Yan in front of him.

He suddenly realized that compared to him, He Yan was too calm. Her eyes were as sharp as a sword, piercing his heart. Her hands were also very steady, unlike his, which were still shaking.

Her voice was also cold, with a hint of sternness as she said, "He Yunsheng, wake up. He's dead."
