Everyone in the shop turned their attention to Wang Hu, and several even gathered around, staring at the lottery ticket in his hand with envy and jealousy in their eyes.
Suddenly, a burly man with a menacing face rushed over, shouting, "Let me see, brother, let's see how much you've won!" Without waiting for Wang Hu's agreement, he reached out to snatch the lottery ticket. Wang Hu's heart tightened, and he instinctively protected his ticket. Wang Hu grabbed the man's hand and forcefully shoved it aside. Caught off guard, the man fell to the ground.
Seeing his fate, the others dispersed. The proprietress emerged from behind the counter; she was tall, beautiful, and possessed a hint of authority in her eyes.
"What are you doing? What are you doing? Trying to rob me? I have security cameras in this shop!" The proprietress's voice was clear and loud, carrying an undeniable air of authority. Upon hearing this, everyone immediately stopped and dared not approach.
The proprietress turned to Wang Hu and said, "Put the lottery ticket away carefully." Hearing this, Wang Hu hurriedly and carefully put the lottery ticket into the inside pocket of his jacket.
Seeing that he listened to her advice, the shop owner smiled with satisfaction. She took Wang Hu's hand and led him to a corner outside the shop, lowering her voice to say, "This prize money isn't enough to be redeemed here; you'll have to go to the lottery center!"
Wang Hu was deeply moved upon hearing this. He knew this was a significant turning point in his life. He looked gratefully at the proprietress and nodded.
The proprietress continued, "However, be careful when you go to claim your prize. Don't let anyone know you've won so much money." A hint of concern was in her eyes.
Wang Hu understood what the proprietress meant, and he said gratefully, "Thank you, proprietress. I will be careful."
At this moment, Wang Hu was filled with hope and anticipation for the future. He knew that this prize money would change his life, but he also understood that he needed to remain calm and rational, and not let wealth cloud his judgment. He secretly told himself that he must make good use of this money to give himself and his family a better life.
“Handsome, can I have your contact information?” Wang Hu was already handsome, and his playful interactions with the shop owner earlier had amplified his charm. After Wang Hu won a big prize, the shop owner's gaze towards him became somewhat dreamy.
The proprietress thought to herself, "This young man is really handsome, especially when we were interacting just now, it was a really strange feeling. He won the lottery, he's so lucky. I wonder if he has a girlfriend? If not, I can introduce him to one."
Wang Hu, smelling the fragrant scent emanating from the proprietress and gazing at her face—a blend of youthful innocence and maturity—felt a stirring in his heart. Earlier, behind the counter, he hadn't noticed her figure; though not very tall, she was curvaceous and possessed a unique charm. Without a second thought, he agreed.
"Sis, what's your phone number?"
As the proprietress, Yu Lili, took out her flip phone, she said coquettishly, "138... My name is Yu Lili, little brother, what's your name?" The way she addressed him changed from "handsome guy" to "little brother," and a ripple of emotion stirred in her heart.
"Little brother, you must remember to call me! Otherwise, I'll call you. Do you have a girlfriend? Maybe I can introduce you to someone." Yu Lili's eyes revealed a hint of expectation and ambiguity.
Wang Hu smiled and replied, "Since you're so beautiful, I'll definitely contact you. If you want to introduce someone to me, would you be willing?"
Yu Lili's face flushed instantly, and she said reproachfully, "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm already married." But she felt a little disappointed. She couldn't help but think that if she weren't married, perhaps something would have happened between her and this handsome young man.
"Sister, you're married already? You don't look like it. I thought you were only 18!" Wang Hu exclaimed in surprise.
“What? I’m almost 30, and my child is already six years old,” Yu Lili replied with a smile, secretly pleased to hear him say that. She couldn’t help but think of herself when she was young, full of energy and vitality.
"Brother-in-law is so lucky to have married such a beautiful wife like you," Wang Hu said with sincere praise.
A blush crept onto Yu Lili's face, and a complex mix of emotions welled up within her. She thought of her husband, the man who had once stirred her heart. Yet, life now left her feeling somewhat weary.
"Your brother-in-law... sigh, never mind. Be careful when you go to claim your prize." Yu Lili's voice carried a hint of helplessness.
Looking at Yu Lili, Wang Hu felt a surge of protectiveness. He punched his chest twice, displaying his strong physique, as if to prove to Yu Lili that he was capable of protecting her.
Yu Lili's gaze was drawn to Wang Hu's pectoral muscles, and her heart began to race involuntarily. Hearing the two thuds, she felt a strange surge of desire. A hint of ambiguity flickered in her eyes, as if hinting at something.
"You'd better hurry up and be careful on the way!" Yu Lili stared at Wang Hu's figure, blushed slightly, and turned back into the shop. She didn't dare look at Wang Hu again, afraid that he would see through her thoughts.
Watching Yu Lili's departing figure, Wang Hu felt a ripple in his heart. He realized there seemed to be a different emotion in Yu Lili's gaze, but he wasn't sure. He took a deep breath, deciding to bury this feeling deep inside, and then walked towards the prize redemption area.
After watching her go inside, Wang Hu turned and walked out of the village. He planned to go online to check where the prize redemption center was.
