As time went on, the meeting proceeded smoothly. The entire process was quite successful, consisting mainly of outlining the development plans and outlook for the coming year, with several well-known entrepreneurs taking the stage to speak and explain their respective needs.
Wang Hu, on the other hand, had already prepared a whole host of heartfelt words of gratitude, such as "Thank you to my father, thank you to my mother! Thank you CCTV, thank you to our great motherland..." Unfortunately, the organizers had no intention of letting him go on stage to give a speech. So, his carefully prepared lines remained unspoken.
The meeting finally came to a close, followed by a lively exchange session. People sat in small groups, enjoying delicious food and chatting happily. The atmosphere was warm and cheerful, with laughter and conversation creating a joyful sea of sound.
Wang Hu sat quietly in the corner. He only owned a small online store, which was usually managed by a professional manager. Therefore, he didn't have much desire to strike up a conversation in this kind of setting. His girlfriend, Zhang Feng, wasn't with him at the moment; she was supposedly out visiting her father.
Bored out of his mind, Wang Hu got up and went to the dining table. He picked up a large plate and began piling various delicacies into it. He ate heartily without any regard for his image, stuffing his mouth full of food and thoroughly enjoying himself.
However, those around him did not give him strange looks or make sarcastic remarks. After all, Wang Hu looked quite young, and many people thought he was just a child who had come to the event with his parents.
Time passed quickly, and soon Zhang Feng hurried over, followed closely by a middle-aged man. The man looked to be in his fifties, with a kind and amiable face.
Upon seeing Wang Hu, Zhang Feng couldn't help but complain, "Hey, you! What are you doing here all alone, eating like this? I've been looking for you for ages!" Just as Wang Hu was about to explain, he heard Zhang Feng's father laugh and say, "Haha, so you're Wang Hu! We're entrusting our Feng'er to you from now on. You'd better take good care of her and make sure she doesn't suffer any hardship!"
If a cartoon were playing right now, a whole bunch of colorful question marks would surely spring up above Wang Hu's head like mushrooms after rain!
