Chapter 2 Haircut

Wang Hu stood in front of the slightly mottled mirror, looking at his reflection, and thought to himself, "I need to tidy myself up, otherwise even if I have money in my pocket, pretty girls won't even look at me."

After thinking for a moment, he slowly stood up and walked towards the entrance of the internet cafe. As soon as he stepped out of the door, a gentle breeze blew by, carrying a slight coolness that felt quite pleasant. He glanced casually to his left and noticed a barbershop not far away.

A brightly colored rotating sign hung at the entrance of the barbershop, displaying various hairdressing designs and the shop's name. Looking through the glass door, the shop was simply yet brightly decorated. There were only a few customers inside at the moment, with a woman busy at the counter, presumably the owner.

As Wang Hu entered the shop, he was immediately drawn to the female owner. She wore a pink tulle dress, the hem swaying gently like a blooming flower. Her long, wavy hair cascaded over her shoulders, exuding a mature charm.

Upon closer inspection, she had an oval face with exquisite features, especially her large, bright eyes, which shone like stars in the night sky. She also possessed a curvaceous figure, radiating feminine charm from head to toe.

"I want a haircut," Wang Hu said to the shop owner.

The female boss walked out gracefully, looking Wang Hu up and down with her bright eyes, finally fixing her gaze on his messy hair.

She smiled slightly and said softly, "Young man, why don't you wash your hair first?" With that, she led Wang Hu to the hair washing area.

Wang Hu had only recently been reborn, and his body, having been strengthened, was still somewhat unable to control himself. The alluring woman before him immediately aroused his physical desires.

Wang Hu took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. After lying down on the shampoo chair, he stared intently at the ceiling, as if there were some treasure on it.

The proprietress noticed Wang Hu's reaction and his reserved and evasive eyes. She found the young man quite interesting and couldn't help but chuckle softly.

She turned on the showerhead, letting warm water spray onto Wang Hu's head, then gently massaged his scalp. Wang Hu closed his eyes, enjoying the moment, but his mind was in turmoil, filled with images of the landlady.

After washing his hair, the proprietress dried Wang Hu's hair with a towel and gestured for him to sit in the barber's chair. Wang Hu sat down nervously, stealing glances at the proprietress every now and then.

With the snip-snip of the scissors, Wang Hu's hair became much neater. But he had no interest in the haircut at all; the proprietress's voluptuous body kept brushing against his head, intensifying his physical arousal.

The proprietress blushed a little when she saw him like this, and thinking of her impotent husband, her eyes still couldn't help but dart over to him.

After his haircut, Wang Hu looked in the mirror and felt quite satisfied with how he looked. He paid and prepared to leave.

Just then, the proprietress called him over, handed him a slip of paper, and said, "This is my phone number. You can contact me if you're free tonight." With that, she smiled and went back into the shop.

The note read "Zhao Meiling" and included a phone number. Wang Hu stood there, his heart pounding with excitement. He didn't know what the landlady meant, but the invitation was making him incredibly eager to join in.

This incident also boosted his confidence. He realized that he had been so useless in his past life, so he had to be more proactive in this life and not be like a block of wood anymore.

After leaving the barbershop, Wang Hu looked at his clothes and thought he needed to buy some new clothes to match his new hairstyle.

Fuchun Square is located in the export processing zone, where there are many factories, many workers, and quite a few wealthy people. The goods in the square are diverse, with prices ranging from high to low.

This commercial area has five floors. The first floor sells cosmetics, jewelry, and has an internet cafe; the second floor has women's clothing, children's clothing, men's clothing, and sporting goods; the third floor is a food court and a cinema; and the fourth floor is a supermarket and a place to sell home furnishings.

Wang Hu first went to the Guirenniao store, picked out a tracksuit, felt it looked good on him, and bought it directly.

He hummed a little tune as he returned to his dorm. Looking at his bed, he saw clothes strewn everywhere, and a basin of dirty socks under the bed. He slapped his forehead, realizing he hadn't washed his socks in ages; he usually just piled them up and washed them in the washing machine.

Seeing the dirty underwear in the corner of the bed, he couldn't help but mutter to himself, "How could I have been so sloppy before?" He stuffed the dirty clothes into the washing machine, put in two coins, pressed the start button, and the washing machine started humming.

While waiting for the laundry to be done, Wang Hu tidied the bed and picked up the clutter on the floor. Looking at the clean room, his mood immediately improved.

After washing the clothes, he took them out to hang them to dry on the balcony. Breathing in the sunshine and fresh air, he took a deep breath and felt a deep sense of peace.

He checked the time and it was already 2:30 pm. He still had to go to work that night, so he decided to take a nap first.

Lying in bed, Wang Hu tossed and turned, unable to sleep. His mind was filled with thoughts of the beautiful landlady and his fantasies about the days when he would be rich.

He was full of expectations for the future, thinking that there might be even more surprises waiting for him. As he thought about it, he slowly fell asleep, a smile still on his lips.

The alarm clock rang, and Wang Hu groggily opened his eyes and turned it off. Looking at the time, it was already seven o'clock; he had to be at work by eight-thirty, so he quickly got up and washed up.

After washing up, he hurried to the factory shuttle bus stop. The factory wasn't far from the dormitory, but taking the shuttle bus was convenient, and since employees usually stand all day, it would make their commute easier.

After queuing for five minutes, Wang Hu boarded the factory shuttle bus, which started and drove towards the factory. The roads were brightly lit at night.

When Wang Hu arrived at the factory, he was a little confused. After all, he hadn't been back for more than ten years and had almost forgotten where the workshop was.

He took out his phone and checked the time; it was only 7:40. Luckily, it was still early, so he sat down at the factory gate to wait.

Sitting there, Wang Hu reminisced about his time at the factory, remembering Meng Zhiyun, who always made everyone laugh, and his girlfriend Guan Xiaomei, whom he had bought with five yuan worth of laundry coupons. He lit a cigarette and quietly recalled the past.

Time flies! Before I knew it, the clock had struck eight. I guess my colleagues should all be at the office by now.

He casually picked up his phone from the table, skillfully swiped the screen, found his friend Sun Honglei's number, and pressed the call button. Speaking of Sun Honglei, his name is exactly the same as that of the big star, and this peculiar coincidence adds a touch of fun to their friendship. Moreover, they have a very good relationship, often helping each other out and getting along very well.

In the past, when Wang Hu was short of money, Sun Honglei would always lend him money without hesitation to help him through the difficulties.

The call was quickly connected, and Sun Honglei's excited voice came through the receiver: "Hey, Wang Hu, I'm almost at the factory gate! Where are you?" The sound of a car engine could also be heard on the other end of the line, so it seemed he was driving here.

Wang Hu laughed and said, "Haha, I got up early today and arrived at the company a long time ago. I've been waiting for you here."
