At nine o'clock in the morning, sunlight streamed through the windows into Wang Hu's spacious and bright office. Just then, the crisp sound of high heels approached from afar; it was Shen Wanqing who had arrived.
She pushed open the door, walked straight to Wang Hu, and said with a hint of complaint on her face, "Mr. Wang, I'm so glad to finally meet you! You still remember you have a company?"
Upon hearing this, Wang Hu couldn't help but smile slightly and replied, "Oh dear, I've been so busy lately! But thankfully, with such a capable person like you helping me out, it doesn't make much of a difference even if I'm not around!"
Upon hearing this, Shen Wanqing raised an eyebrow and continued to ask, "Then why did you suddenly change your mind and not move to Hangzhou, which you previously said was closer to Taobao's headquarters?"
Wang Hu stroked his chin and explained, "We originally planned to move there, but then we bought a new factory, and after weighing the options, we felt it was more appropriate to stay here!"
Shen Wanqing nodded, indicating her understanding: "Alright, since you've already made your decision, then naturally we'll follow your wishes! By the way, is there anything else you need me to do?"
Wang Hu waved his hand and replied with a smile, "No, not for now. You can go ahead and do your thing!"
After receiving the instructions, Shen Wanqing turned and left, gently closing the door behind her. After she left, Wang Hu sat in his office chair and began dealing with the mountain of documents piled on his desk. He carefully reviewed each document, occasionally picking up a pen to sign his name.
About half an hour later, all the documents that needed to be signed were processed. Wang Hu stood up to stretch his limbs and was about to pack his things to leave when he suddenly saw the office door being pushed open from the outside without warning.
Immediately afterward, two figures floated into the room as lightly as butterflies—it was Zhang Li and Guan Xiaomei. They quickly grabbed Wang Hu's arms, one on each side, and playfully complained, "Hmph, have you completely forgotten about us? It's been so many days and you haven't even come to see us once!"
With a broad smile, Wang Hu opened his arms and embraced them tightly. He then gently kissed each of their rosy cheeks and said apologetically, "Oh dear, I'm so sorry, it's all my fault, my fault!"
However, the two seemed dissatisfied with his perfunctory apology. Guan Xiaomei's eyebrows furrowed, her almond-shaped eyes widened, and she said angrily, "Hmph, is 'it's your fault' all you want? Do you even care about us? Do you think we're so insignificant?" As she spoke, she reached out her delicate hand and pinched Wang Hu's waist hard, venting her deep-seated dissatisfaction.
Zhang Li, standing to the side, was also feeling somewhat uneasy. That night, although her relationship with Wang Hu had progressed quite intimately, they hadn't ultimately taken that crucial step. Moreover, she hadn't seen Wang Hu for two whole days afterward, which made her start to overthink, wondering if she had done something wrong to anger him.
Just then, Zhang Li seemed to suddenly remember something important and hurriedly said, "Oh right, I have some news to tell you. Chen Linlin... she's pregnant!" Upon hearing this, Guan Xiaomei and the other girl were stunned for a moment, then burst into shouts of surprise and joy. However, they quickly realized the implications of this news, and couldn't help but feel anxious inside.
Just then, Wang Hu said earnestly, "After careful consideration, I've decided not to move the company out of here. Let it continue to develop in Ningbo. This afternoon, I'll take you two to pick out a big house of our own!"
"Ah! Really?" Upon hearing this, Guan Xiaomei and the other girl could hardly believe their ears, and they were so excited they almost jumped up. Then, the two of them cheered and jumped for joy, their cheerful laughter seemingly able to pierce the clouds.
Seeing their excited reaction, Wang Hu couldn't help but feel a little surprised and asked in confusion, "Huh? That's strange. If you didn't want to leave here, why didn't you say so before? Now you're all so happy!"
Zhang Li smiled confidently and said matter-of-factly, "We're all used to staying here, so of course we want to stay! And we'll follow your lead in everything. If you decide to leave one day, we'll definitely follow you without hesitation!" Guan Xiaomei, who was standing next to her, nodded obediently in agreement with Zhang Li.
Seeing how understanding and considerate they were, Wang Hu felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He happily opened his arms and embraced Zhang Li and Guan Xiaomei tightly, kissing each of their rosy cheeks. This sudden act of intimacy made the two girls a little shy, but mostly filled them with happiness and sweetness.
Afterwards, Wang Hu took their hands and walked out of the company gate with great joy. They went straight to the real estate agency, and after careful selection, finally bought two luxury villas. To their surprise, these two villas were located in the same area as the ones Li Jiaohui had purchased! Although they were not in the same community, they were not far apart, and could be easily reached by walking for more than ten minutes.
Immediately afterward, Wang Hu contacted a professional moving company and arranged for staff to help Zhang Li and Guan Xiaomei move their belongings to their new residence. After a busy morning, everyone was quite hungry. So, Wang Hu took Zhang Li and Guan Xiaomei to Zhang Li's house for lunch. The table was laden with delicious dishes, and the three of them ate heartily, chatting and laughing in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
