Chapter 219 Liu Ying's fiancé, Wang Hu's enemy

Just as Wang Hu was about to take a step to chase after him, a crisp and urgent telephone rang out.

He stopped, took out his phone from his pocket, and saw that the screen displayed his mother Feng Fenfen's name. Wang Hu didn't dare to delay and quickly pressed the answer button.

"Hey! Son, have you arrived yet?" Feng Fenfen asked with concern on the other end of the phone.

Wang Hu wiped the beads of sweat from his forehead and hurriedly replied, "Mom, I'm here! I'm about to get off the bus!"

Hearing that her son had arrived at his destination safely, Feng Fenfen's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled down a little.

She couldn't help but start scolding Wang Hu: "Oh dear, you child, we're almost at our stop, why don't you call your mother to let her know you're safe? You have to wait for me to call you! You're so inconsiderate!"

When Wang Hu heard his mother start nagging again, he felt a little uneasy. He quickly made up an excuse to end the conversation as soon as possible: "Mom, um... I just got off the bus, and I have a lot of things to do here, so I'll talk to you later!" After saying that, he hung up the phone quickly without waiting for Feng Fenfen's response.

All she heard was a busy tone on the other end of the phone, and Feng Fenfen shook her head helplessly. She knew perfectly well that her constant nagging was annoying, but a mother just couldn't help worrying!

At this moment, Wang Jianguo, who was sitting to the side, looked at his wife’s slightly anxious and helpless appearance, and a smile that was not quite a smile appeared on his lips.

Seeing this, Feng Fenfen was immediately furious. She glared at her husband and scolded, "Hmph! You still have the nerve to laugh! At least I know to call our son to check on him. But you, our son has been gone for a year and you haven't made a single phone call!"

After hurriedly hanging up the phone, Wang Hu was extremely anxious and was about to rush out the door. However, just as he took a step, a slender but strong hand suddenly reached out and blocked his way.

He looked closely and saw that it was the beautiful and charming train attendant. Apparently, while patrolling the trains, she had heard the commotion coming from this area and, out of professional instinct, had designated it as a priority area. Sure enough, as soon as the door opened, she rushed over like a whirlwind.

Sure enough, the scene that came into view could only be described as a complete mess. Both the blankets on the left and right sides saw the same thing, and Wang Hu couldn't help but look embarrassed.

He quickly reached into his backpack and pulled out 1,000 yuan in cash. He then handed it to the train conductor with an apologetic expression, saying, "I'm so sorry, this is my cleaning fee and compensation. Please accept it."

The train conductor hesitated slightly as she looked at the banknotes in front of her, but ultimately accepted the money. Even so, her cheeks involuntarily flushed, making her appear exceptionally shy and adorable.

At this moment, Liu Ying angrily ran out of the carriage and stood at the door. She crossed her arms, staring angrily ahead, looking ready to get off the train at any moment.

However, her bright, lively eyes kept glancing into the carriage, clearly waiting for Wang Hu to come out and explain to her!

Several minutes passed, and Wang Hu still hadn't shown up. Liu Ying's anger grew stronger, and she could no longer contain herself. She stomped her foot hard, muttering some complaints under her breath.

Just as Liu Ying turned away in disappointment once again, she suddenly caught sight of Wang Hu hurriedly chasing after her from the carriage.

In an instant, her heart skipped a beat, and an indescribable joy welled up inside her. But then she remembered what had happened before, so she deliberately put on a stern face, pretending to ignore Wang Hu and not pay him any attention.

Wang Hu stared at her, noticing her arched eyebrows, wide-open eyes, and pouting cherry lips—a picture of sulking. He was completely at a loss, utterly unsure how to appease this fiery little firecracker. And so, the two stood facing each other, locked in an awkward silence.

Time passed slowly, and after about five or six minutes, accompanied by a slight sway, the train finally came to a slow stop at the platform.

Because this was just a small, unknown county town, the platform looked rather dilapidated, and the surrounding facilities were old and worn out. Wang Hu and Liu Ying slowly stepped off the train, mingling with the bustling crowd.

The two remained silent after getting off the bus, neither daring to break the silence. However, their steps grew increasingly slow, as if each step required immense courage.

After all the passengers on the train had left, only the two of them remained alone in the underground passage.

Seeing that Wang Hu remained silent, Liu Ying could no longer contain her anger and said coquettishly, "Can't you say a few nice words to coax me? You're such a complete scumbag!"

Hearing this, Wang Hu felt like he had grasped a lifeline. He immediately pulled her into a tight embrace and whispered, "Baby, you're not angry anymore. I didn't dare to say anything just now!"

Liu Ying forcefully broke free from his embrace, her face full of anger as she retorted, "Hmph! I haven't gotten over it! You're just a fickle, womanizing scoundrel! The thought that I could be bewitched by someone like you makes me furious!"

Faced with Liu Ying's accusations, Wang Hu did not back down at all. Instead, he continued to coax her with sweet words: "Oh, my darling, no matter how much of a womanizer I am, in my heart, you will always be the one and only, irreplaceable one!"
