As soon as the car left the village, Wang Hu's restless hand, like a snake, quietly climbed up Shi Yanling's long, fair thigh.
However, Shi Yanling reacted quickly. She suddenly raised her hand and slapped Wang Hu's hand away without any mercy. Then, she pouted her pink lips, turned her head angrily to look out the window, and ignored Wang Hu beside her.
Upon seeing this, Wang Hu's heart tightened, and he quickly asked, "Oh dear, my little darling, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly angry?"
Upon hearing this, Shi Yanling snorted coldly again, muttering under her breath, "Who's your darling? Stop calling me that, hmph!"
At this moment, Wang Hu was completely bewildered, not understanding why Shi Yanling was so angry, because he had no idea that she already knew about his affair with Luan Ying.
Less than five minutes after the car left the village, Wang Hu skillfully and slowly brought it to a stop, right where he had parked when he entered the village that afternoon.
Shi Yanling naturally knew what was about to happen, and a shy blush instantly spread across her pretty face. Just then, Wang Hu reached out again, trying to grab Shi Yanling's small hand, but she nimbly slapped it away and quickly dodged.
Seeing this, Wang Hu secretly groaned. He hadn't even started to coax her yet; how could he let himself get away with it so easily?
Wang Hu suddenly moved with lightning speed, forcefully turning Shi Yanling's face around, and then without hesitation, he leaned down and kissed her.
With a rustling sound, the seatbelt was unbuckled. The previously upright seat was now laid flat, resembling a comfortable bed.
Shi Yanling said coquettishly, "I'm still angry, and you haven't even coaxed me properly yet!"
Wang Hu replied with a wicked grin, "Isn't this just to coax you?" As he spoke, his actions became increasingly bold...
With only half the sun visible, Liu Qingqing leisurely rode her old but remarkably nimble bicycle to an ancient stone bridge. She dismounted gracefully, parked the bicycle to the side, and then crouched down, quietly hiding behind the bridge.
Through the gaps in the stone bridge, Liu Qingqing stared intently at the slightly swaying car not far ahead. She could vaguely see two figures reflected in the car window, which secretly pleased her: "Hmph, I knew you two were up to something! I've finally caught you!" A sly smile unconsciously appeared on Liu Qingqing's face.
She was determined to hide there and jump out to scare the two men in the car after they finished. However, to Liu Qingqing's utter surprise, the car started shaking violently as if it were on steroids, showing no signs of stopping. Time passed second by second, and half an hour went by in the blink of an eye, but the car was still shaking uncontrollably.
The sky gradually darkened. The sun, which usually sets around 5 p.m., seemed to hasten its pace, disappearing below the horizon much earlier. The surrounding light grew dimmer and dimmer, soon becoming so dark that one could hardly see their hand in front of their face.
Liu Qingqing, who had been waiting there, felt a chill run through her body, especially as the gusts of cold wind made her shiver. Despite this, the stubborn girl gritted her teeth and persevered, silently chanting to herself, "Wait a little longer, wait a little longer..."
Finally, just as Liu Qingqing was about to freeze to death, the car seemed to have finally exhausted all its strength and stopped shaking.
Immediately afterward, the car door slowly opened, and a shirtless man stepped out of the passenger seat. This man was Wang Hu. He stretched and yawned as he got out, then went to the passenger side to put on his clothes!
Seeing this from the shadows, Liu Qingqing was overjoyed, thinking her chance had come. So, she carefully stood up and tiptoed towards the car. With each step, her heart pounded, afraid that she might make a sound and alert the other party.
As she got closer to her target, Liu Qingqing took a deep breath and silently cheered herself on: "Don't be afraid, I must scare them! Hehe, this is by the river, I guarantee I'll scare them so badly they'll wet themselves!"
Suddenly, a soft footstep sound came from behind. Instinctively, Wang Hu quickly turned his head, and in an instant, the scene that came into view made him gasp – a figure was slowly walking towards him, with a long tongue sticking out and hair hanging messily on both sides of his face, looking exactly like a ghost that had stepped out of a horror movie.
Although Wang Hu has always been a staunch materialist, since such an unbelievable thing as rebirth has happened to him, what else is there that he can't believe?
Undeterred, he charged forward, grabbed the "ghost" by the collar, and raised his fist high, ready to deliver a heavy blow.
But just then, when he looked closely, he was surprised to find that the so-called "ghost" in front of him was actually Liu Qingqing!
She, who had been playfully making faces, was now terrified by Wang Hu's raised fist, and she squeezed her eyes shut. At the same time, she raised her hands in great fear and shouted repeatedly, "Stop! Stop it!"
Wang Hu quickly released his grip on her collar. However, because Liu Qingqing had been in the cold for a long time and had been squatting in place, her body had become somewhat stiff and numb. Therefore, when Wang Hu let go, she suddenly lost her footing and her body involuntarily leaned backward.
In a flash, Wang Hu took a large step forward and, with lightning speed, stretched out his arms and firmly embraced her slender waist. Otherwise, this delicate woman would probably have tumbled straight down the riverbank into the icy water.
