Chapter 24 A Mysterious Feeling

When Meng Zhiyun heard that the problem was so serious, she asked him.

"What are you going to do? I heard from Linlin before that Zheng Jun gives him 3,000 yuan every month, which he probably embezzled. Are you going to report him?"

“I couldn’t be bothered to report him. I only care about Chen Linlin. What do I care about the lives of other people? I heard from Sun Honglei that he also embezzled several hundred yuan of my bonus. But now that I’ve taken Chen Linlin away, I can’t really go after him.”

"Okay, then call Linlin over so we can discuss it together."

Wang Hu made a call, and Chen Linlin answered immediately, launching into a tirade against him.

"You heartless bastard, you haven't contacted me for days, don't you miss me?" The last words were tinged with a sob.

She glanced cautiously at Meng Zhiyun beside her, and was relieved to see that she had no expression.

"I miss you so much, come to me right away, I need to talk to you."

Wang Hu gave her the address and immediately hung up, afraid that Chen Linlin would say something inappropriate again. After hanging up, Wang Hu glanced at Meng Zhiyun, genuinely worried that she might be upset.

While waiting, Wang Hu quickly turned on another computer, clicked on Tonghuashun (a Chinese stock trading platform), and gold futures appeared before his eyes.

"Damn, the peak is already over!" Wang Hu remembered reading a novel in his past life where gold futures rose to 1900 points in 2011, and then started to fall. He checked on Tonghuashun and found that September had already passed.

He glanced at brass again. Although he knew that the price of this stuff would rise sharply, he didn't know exactly how much. Wang Hu didn't dare to make a move easily. If he invested 500,000 yuan, a single fluctuation could mean tens of thousands of yuan.

Helpless, Wang Hu could only glance around casually. Suddenly, that mysterious feeling returned, just like the day he won the lottery. Wang Hu immediately perked up, this feeling telling him that gold was about to fall.

He quickly opened the gold futures trading platform, ready to short sell, secretly praying that he could seize the opportunity. However, the result was a huge disappointment; he tried clicking for a long time but couldn't buy anything. His mood instantly plummeted.

Then I remembered the trading rules I looked up last night: gold futures require a minimum investment of 500,000 yuan and an account that has been open for more than 20 days.

This missed opportunity left him extremely frustrated. He felt like a fool, watching a chance to make money slip away without being able to do anything about it. He slammed his fist on the table, and with a loud "bang," the corner of the table shattered.

Meng Ziyun, who was standing nearby, was startled and quickly reached out to pull him back. Wang Hu then realized that he had lost his composure, and his face instantly turned bright red, filled with shame.

"What's wrong? Are you hurt? Did something happen? Tell me, and I'll see if there's any solution," Meng Ziyun asked with concern.

Wang Hu took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He knew he couldn't continue to be so depressed; he had to find a way to turn the situation around. He forced a smile and said to Meng Ziyun, "It's nothing, it's nothing. I just thought of a great way to make money, but I'm not qualified to do it, that's why I'm angry!"

In reality, he was far from as calm as he appeared. Last time he felt like he had won a million in the lottery, and this time he probably could make a lot of money too, but he couldn't do it because of this.

Silently repeating to myself, "What I gain is my fate, what I lose is my fortune," I soon calmed down.
