Upon hearing Yu Hui's words, Wang Hu was startled and nearly jumped up in fright. He blurted out, "What the hell! How did you figure that out?!" His eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief.
Yu Hui raised her small face triumphantly, a sly smile on her lips, and said, "That's right, the way that young wife looked at you just now was strange, I guessed there was something going on between you two!" Her tone was relaxed and confident, as if she was very sure of her judgment.
Wang Hu inwardly cried out in alarm. If Yu Hui had only noticed it, that would be fine, but if she had overheard it from somewhere else, then things would be much more troublesome! He quickly instructed, "You know it, but don't tell anyone!" His voice revealed a hint of tension and worry.
Yu Hui seemed to understand the seriousness of the matter. She nodded and said seriously, "I'm not stupid. If word gets out, the house will be in chaos!" Her expression was very serious, clearly taking Wang Hu's words to heart.
Wang Hu breathed a sigh of relief. He gently hugged Yu Hui's waist, and the two strolled together toward the river on the west side of the village.
Upon reaching the riverbank, Yu Hui frowned as she looked at the murky water and asked in bewilderment, "There's a river right next to your village, why is the water so dark?"
Wang Hu shook his head helplessly, sighed, and said, "It seems there are factories discharging pollutants upstream. I heard the government is trying to clean it up, but the results aren't very good. They don't dare to shut down those factories, after all, so many families depend on them for their livelihood!"
In fact, people from the county had approached Wang Hu, hoping he could take over these factories and find new industries that could absorb the workers after they were shut down.
But Wang Hu knew very well that he didn't have that ability, so he decisively refused.
Wang Hu and Yu Hui strolled hand in hand along the path at the edge of the village, enjoying the peaceful and beautiful moment. Sunlight shone on them, casting happy shadows.
However, just as they were enjoying their leisurely time, the soft sound of an electric scooter engine broke the tranquility. Wang Hu and Yu Hui looked up at the same time and saw Shi Huihui riding an electric scooter at high speed towards them.
Shi Huihui quickly parked the car in front of Wang Hu and Yu Hui, and said anxiously, "Wang Hu, there's an urgent matter at the soy sauce factory. Could you go over there? It's really urgent!"
Wang Hu looked suspicious. He wondered to himself, "I clearly hired a professional manager to run the soy sauce factory, so why would there suddenly be something that requires my personal attention?" He couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Why is it so urgent?"
Shi Huihui seemed a little impatient and hurriedly urged, "Hey! Don't ask anymore, just get on, I'll take you there and you'll know!" As she spoke, she patted the back seat of the electric scooter, signaling Wang Hu to get on.
Wang Hu looked troubled. He glanced at Yu Hui beside him, hesitating. Seeing this, Yu Hui smiled understandingly and said, "Since you have something urgent, go quickly. The village isn't big, I can find my way back myself."
Wang Hu glanced gratefully at Yu Hui, then turned and hopped on Shi Huihui's electric scooter. With a twist of the throttle, the scooter sped away like an arrow, leaving Yu Hui standing alone as her figure receded into the distance.
Wang Hu was initially suspicious, worried that something urgent had happened. However, when he saw Shi Huihui speeding past the soy sauce factory on her bicycle without stopping, he suddenly realized—he had been fooled by this woman!
Wang Hu inwardly groaned. Shi Huihui's anxious demeanor just now made it seem as if there was something extremely urgent, and even his usually proud sixth sense had been fooled by her!
In reality, Shi Huihui was indeed very anxious. The fact that Wang Hu had brought his girlfriend back from outside had already become the talk of the village. Shi Huihui had originally planned to wait a couple more days and find a suitable opportunity to go see Wang Hu.
But who could have imagined that she would suddenly hear today that Wang Hu and the others were preparing to return to Ningbo! This made Shi Huihui extremely anxious; her longing for Wang Hu surged into her heart like a tidal wave, impossible to suppress. So, without saying a word, she hopped on her electric scooter and rushed off to find Wang Hu.
In order to meet Wang Hu smoothly, Shi Huihui even made up a lie on the spot, but unexpectedly Wang Hu believed it so easily!
At this moment, Wang Hu tightly embraced Shi Huihui's slender waist, savoring the faint fragrance emanating from her body. He teased, "Hey baby, where are you taking me? You're not going to take me to some remote place and then cut my kidneys off, are you?"
Shi Huihui didn't answer him. Her face was already slightly flushed, like a ripe apple. She could clearly feel the large hand roaming freely inside her clothes, bringing waves of strange sensations. This feeling made her feel both sweet and shy, and also a little annoyed. So she gave a coquettish snort and said, "Hmph! Pull your hand away!"
However, Wang Hu ignored her and became even more audacious. Instead of entering the town, the two drove Wang Hu through a maze of turns until they stopped outside a grove of trees. This grove was filled with poplar saplings, so densely packed that it seemed as if one were immersed in a green ocean.
After parking the car at the edge of the woods, Wang Hu easily lifted Shi Huihui in his arms, as if she were a precious treasure, and walked into the depths of the poplar sapling forest. They walked for several dozen meters before finally stopping.
Wang Hu gently stroked Shi Huihui's soft face, a teasing smile on his lips, and said, "Baby, you really know how to pick a place!"
