Chapter 52 Yu Lili's Choice

Wang Hu didn't go home; he was going to find Yu Lili, whom he hadn't seen for several days.

Sunlight streamed through the glass door of the lottery shop, falling on Yu Lili's face, but her eyes seemed somewhat unfocused. The noise inside the shop seemed irrelevant to her; her thoughts had already drifted far away.

Wang Hu, the 18-year-old boy, appeared at her lottery shop once again, but she could only pretend not to see him.

Yu Lili was filled with inner turmoil. Looking at Wang Hu's young and energetic figure, she couldn't help but feel a complex mix of emotions.

Their meeting was an accident, but driven by passion, they repeatedly fell to the edge of morality.

Each encounter left a deep mark on her heart, causing her to waver between reason and emotion.

Her gaze unconsciously fell on Wang Hu, the boy who had once stirred her heart.

But then, she forced herself to look away and turn to the family photo on the counter—her husband, the man who silently shouldered the burden of the family, and her lovely child, their smiles so pure and innocent. These were the center of her life, the responsibilities she could not relinquish.

Yu Lili took a deep breath; she knew she had to make a choice. She couldn't go on like this; she couldn't let this relationship that shouldn't have happened continue.

Although she was in pain, she was more determined than anything else. She wanted to protect her family, her children, and her marriage. This was her duty as a wife and a mother.

Wang Hu seemed to sense Yu Lili's indifference as well. A hint of doubt flashed in his eyes, but soon he seemed to understand something.

He looked at Yu Lili, the woman who had once captivated him. Her eyes no longer held the tenderness of the past; instead, they held a resolute resolve. He knew that their relationship had reached its end.

A strange sense of relief welled up in Wang Hu's heart. He understood Yu Lili's choice and respected her decision. He knew that their relationship should never have started. He sighed softly, turned and left the lottery shop without looking back or lingering.

Yu Lili watched Wang Hu's departing figure, her heart filled with mixed emotions. She knew this was the choice she had to make, and the only choice she could make.

She gently stroked the family photo, silently making a promise in her heart: she would use her actions to protect this family and the people she loved.

The sun was still warm, and the lottery shop was still bustling, but in Yu Lili's heart, a new direction had already been set. She knew that from now on, she would cherish her family even more, and cherish everything she had even more.

The moment Wang Hu stepped out of the lottery shop, his heart was filled with confusion. He didn't seek out the confidantes who had once surrounded him, nor did he look for the friends with whom he had laughed and joked. His steps unconsciously led him to the noodle shop, the place where he ate his first meal on the first day of his rebirth.

The noodle shop still smelled of the familiar aroma of scallion oil, and the proprietress greeted him warmly, as if nothing had changed. Wang Hu ordered a bowl of scallion oil noodles and sat in the spot he used to sit in.

The noodles touched his lips, and their simple, pure flavor transported him back to the first day of his rebirth, a time when he was full of hope and dreams for the future.

After finishing his noodles, Wang Hu bought a bottle of beer at the supermarket next to the noodle shop. Instead of going home or to any crowded places, he walked to the artificial lake in the commercial street.

He sat on the steps, opened a beer, and quietly watched the lights reflected on the lake, listening to the children playing and the noise of the crowd around him.

Everything here is full of life; people's faces are beaming with smiles, children play carefree, and couples stroll hand in hand.

These ordinary yet real scenes gradually calmed Wang Hu's heart. He began to reflect on his behavior, his relationship with Yu Lili, and the impact of this relationship on both of them.

He realized that life had to go on, and he couldn't let a woman stop him from moving forward.

He needs to rediscover his direction and find the hopeful self he was at the beginning of his rebirth.

He took a deep breath and downed the beer in his hand in one gulp, as if he wanted to swallow all his troubles and confusion along with the beer.

Wang Hu stood up and threw the empty bottle into the trash can. His steps became firm; he knew that despite the reluctance and pain in his heart, he had to look forward. He wanted to reclaim his life, to rediscover the dreams and goals he had neglected.

As night fell and the lights of the commercial street gradually came on, Wang Hu's figure slowly disappeared into the crowd. He knew that tomorrow would be a new day, and he would face every challenge in life with renewed determination and courage.

After returning home, I opened Tonghuashun (a Chinese stock trading platform). The futures market had already closed. Among all the stocks that were down, I picked one that I thought would rise the next day. I bought 30 million worth of shares and it immediately broke the limit down. The stock started to rise against the trend.

Wang Hu is now gaining a deeper understanding of the financial market. Since the futures market cannot be operated for a long time, the combination of stocks and futures is the most suitable option.

Wang Hu planned to go home after passing his driving test to apply for his passport. At this time, both his visa and passport were processed in his place of household registration.

After finishing all that, Wang Hu began his cultivation. He sat cross-legged, the golden sunlight shining on him. He focused his mind on his breathing and soon entered that mysterious state.

By controlling his mental power and accelerating his energy cycle, he felt stronger and absorbed sunlight faster. Someone looked at Wang Hu now and saw that his entire body was black because his skin no longer reflected light; instead, it had been absorbed by him.

It was almost five o'clock when Wang Hu finished his cultivation. Just then, Meng Zhiyun returned and smiled happily when she saw Wang Hu.

Meng Zhiyun said, "Why are you home today? I thought you were going to eat out again." Then she carried the groceries into the kitchen, and Wang Hu followed her in.

Wang Hu said, "I was busy the other day, didn't I? I love your cooking the most, don't you know that?" Wang Hu felt a little guilty, as he had spent the last two days with other women.

Seeing her absentmindedly picking vegetables, Wang Hu thought she was angry with him. He hugged her from behind, kissed her cheek, and said, "I'm sorry." Then he hugged her tightly.

Meng Zhiyun said, "It's not because of you, it's because..."

Wang Hu looked at her hesitant expression, then at the groceries she had bought—enough for just one girl—and considered Chen Linlin's jealous behavior a couple of days ago.

Wang Hu guessed something.
