Wang Hu sat there racking his brains for a long time, but couldn't come up with a solution, so he simply gave up. He figured whether he stuck his neck out or not, he'd still get stabbed.
Wang Hu stood up, took a deep breath, and walked towards Meng Zhiyun. As he approached her, he felt a pang of fear. He clenched his fists to bolster his courage, then plopped down in the seat next to Meng Zhiyun.
Meng Zhiyun was engrossed in her work when she heard the sound and turned around. She saw it was Wang Hu. She snorted angrily and turned away, not wanting to talk to him.
Seeing his reaction, Wang Hu didn't know what to do. So he simply lay down on the workbench, propped his chin up with his hands, and stared straight at her.
She has big, bright eyes and long eyelashes, making her look particularly charming. Her nose is straight, somewhat resembling the actress Ning Jing. She wasn't wearing any makeup, just a touch of pink lipstick; this simplicity only made her more captivating.
Meng Zhiyun felt a little embarrassed by his gaze, glanced at him, and then snorted! Actually, she wasn't that angry right now.
Just thinking about what she saw in the lounge earlier, when she saw him and Chen Linlin hugging, her heart felt like it was being tightly gripped by something.
Her feelings were complex, a mixture of anger, sadness, and a hint of fear. She was afraid of losing him, afraid that their relationship would break down. She wanted to escape, which was why she didn't want to talk to him.
When Wang Hu finally came to her, with an apologetic look in his eyes and a nervous expression, she felt a mix of emotions, including a sense of relief.
Wang Hu stared at her silently for a long time. Finally, he mustered up his courage and cautiously poked Meng Zhiyun's shoulder with his finger. Meng Zhiyun turned her head, her face still showing a hint of resentment.
"Don't move, can't you see I'm busy!"
Upon hearing this, Wang Hu thought, "Hey, she doesn't seem so angry anymore!" So, he quickly grabbed a testing table and started helping Meng Zhiyun with her work.
"Hehehe, I'll help you. That way, the two of us can work much faster!" Wang Hu said to Meng Zhiyun with a big smile.
After that, neither of them spoke again, and they quietly buried themselves in their work. An hour passed, and Meng Zhiyun suddenly asked Wang Hu:
What's going on between you and Linlin?
"What happened? She was cold, so I hugged her to let her rest for a while and warm each other up!"
Wang Hu's shameless reply startled Meng Zhiyun. She put down her work and pinched Wang Hu's waist.
"You'd better watch yourself!"
"There's really nothing between us, you have to believe me!"
Meng Zhiyun was utterly speechless at his answer. She shook her head, continued with her work, and ignored Wang Hu completely.
Wang Hu took out his phone and checked the time; it was almost two o'clock. He nudged Meng Zhiyun with his hand.
I'll go check it out up ahead.
Meng Zhiyun hummed in agreement.
Wang Hu walked over to the printing press and noticed the solder paste was a bit dry. He took out some solder paste, added some flux, and stirred it. Seeing that everything seemed fine, he walked towards Meng Zhiyun.
After Wang Hu sat down, he continued to help Meng Zhiyun with her work. There wasn't much work to begin with, and only one person was assigned to it. After the two of them finished, they had some free time.
Wang Hu sensed the awkward silence and knew he had to break it. He asked Meng Zhiyun, "Are you renting a place to live outside?"
"Hmm," Meng Zhiyun hummed in response.
"Where did you rent the house?" Wang Hu asked again, seeing that the atmosphere hadn't calmed down yet.
"Daqi"
How much is the rent per month?
"800 yuan!"
Wang Hu was somewhat surprised; their basic salary was only 850 yuan, and with overtime pay, it was more than 2,000 yuan a month!
"800 yuan! Is that expensive? Our base salary is only 850 yuan."
"He paid for it."
"Who?" Wang Hu didn't react for a moment.
“Him? Who is he!” Meng Zhiyun emphasized.
"Oh, oh, oh, your boyfriend!" Wang Hu realized.
"Is he good to you?" Wang Hu asked again.
Meng Zhiyun fell silent.
Seeing Meng Zhiyun's silence, Wang Hu guessed what was going on. He had heard in his past life that the two of them often argued, so he guessed their relationship wasn't very good.
Seeing that there weren't many products coming off the production line, Wang Hu said to Meng Ziyun, "I'm going to take a look around."
Wang Hu checked the time; it was almost 3 PM. He went to the front and checked the last two boards on the pick-and-place machine. Production would be finished in another hour. He scooped the solder paste out of the printer and put it into a box. Then he stopped the automatic feeder.
Take out the steel mesh and scraper from inside the machine, ready to take it to the cleaning room for cleaning.
After returning from the cleaning room, Wang Hu thought about Chen Linlin's invitation. He felt a surge of excitement again. He looked around the workshop. "There aren't any good spots!"
The workshop was quite empty; after all, it's a new department. It's only been open for less than a year! Then we walked to the warehouse area. Looking at the tall stacks of goods inside, I had a better idea of what to expect.
Wang Hu walked up behind Chen Linlin, looked around, and saw that she was completely blocked out. This workstation was specifically found for Chen Linlin by her boyfriend.
The work involves post-panel inspection. After the pick-and-place machine finishes the boards, they undergo high-temperature reflow soldering, followed by quality control to ensure each LED lights up. The entire large board is then divided into strips. The next step is to solder a flexible connector to the LED.
Chen Linlin's job is to inspect each of these light tubes one by one. She checks whether the solder joints of each tube are full, and if not, she picks it out.
